Hopped on with Phil to get through horde night, the base is pretty strong at the moment but the hordes are nothing really. We'll see a change in the next horde, will be a lot more of them and different types, plus certain animals might pay us a visit.

News of the day is we have minibikes and crispy found auger parts!!! Whoop! Anyone who joins the server can have a bike made for them if they so choose, unless you don't want stuff just given to you. We still need to find an auger blade but the parts are normally harder to come by.

We found a big city which looks like it has everything, could be a good location for a new house. Looking forward to setting up somewhere else with more places to loot.

    Great games as always!

were you able to find the coordinates?

Yeah, that's sort of what I expect based on the numbers and what I've seen already. Leta face it, a high fps doesn't mean shit if you can't have a good laugh with friends and what this game has done for communities like ours, fps just really isn't high up on the agenda.

As I said earlier in the thread, my money is on a 60fps console version in around 12 months time. So you have to rebuy the game again of course ;)

What made siege amazing for me on console was meeting the random people and the laughs I had with them. I was always a solo gamer up until that game and also never gave a shit about FPS like you said until I became a PC snob. Laughs and fun will always be more important to me in a game though like you said.

Its not the usual reliability we've seen from Red Bull over recent years. I think its more impactful because they were so dominant and reliable with Vettel.

The guy is going to be a World Champion very soon. He is extremely talented however equally irratic.

If this keeps happening, don't be surprised if one of the big teams come knocking like Ferrari or even McLaren if they can sort their disastrous car out.

Could you imagine Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen, and Alonso all on equal ground fighting for the championship....I would die! Also I can never imagine max going to the Red, he would look much better in White

  4. Any predicitions for this weekends GP? Won't see qualy until late tomorrow and probably won't be able to watch the GP till Sunday evening but should be a good one!

Hoping Hamilton can get the win and at the very least tie up the WDC but man do the Ferraris look scary again.

If you're playing Overwatch at 220fps let's say and it drops to 60; despite losing 160fps; you wouldn't notice it because your brain can't process the difference.

I would like to argue that, if i go from 150 to 60 it's very noticeable to me. The game seems to be moving like a "slideshow". The big difference in 30 to 60 is not the big things in front of you, it's the environment and smoothness of things around you that's so much different. It may be why you don't notice it that much Lee

That's great, thanks Nick. I'll have to check out that Stone Cold story mode for him. He's only been playing quick 1v1 match and been doing better now he has things lower on difficulty.

He struggles to get back in the ring when he's out though. The controls do feel clunky.

I thought this for some time :)

Is there a better Wrestling game thats easier on the PS4?

I always just used to sprint into the ring, it makes you slide under the rope lol the online manual on 2ks website gives some nice tips if i remember correctly. Also I'm pretty positive that is the only wrestling game made still.

Thanks for that Nick. I think playing Devil's Advocate with myself here, I possibly don't see the massive issue because I just haven't experienced it on PC.

Still though, its not about if they can or can't for me. Look at it as if you have 10 tokens to spend on features. The full works for games lets say would cost 20 tokens. I just would focus my tokens on other factors in a game. How more amazing can a game look to make you love it?

    Via the FG App

We are spoiled on PC, I normally get 150+ FPS on average for siege and Nvidia bugged out and locked me at 60 for a few matches....it was like the game was moving in slow motion.

Once you experience high frames you truly can't go back, everything feels odd and slow

Good read. Thanks for sharing @J4MES OX4D.

Genuine question - when was 60fps first available on games? Regardless of platform.

One thing is for sure, Activi$ion get called out for their dollar dollar attitude within 12 months when we do have a 60fps version on console (thats my estimate), regardless of what we think now.

according to someone on this forum PC's began to be able to hit 60 FPS in the late 90's

  9. Very Very excited for the release of F1 2017 on Friday, the new cars are incredible this year and can not wait to dig into career mode (the upgrade tree is incredibly in-depth this year)

Stuck between starting my career with Haas (USA, USA xD) or Mclaren starting with a midfield team and upgrading them through the field is a blast and it hurts to watch Fernando stuck in the middle.

If I choose Haas it will be for the quicker progression to a new team and if I choose Mclaren I will be in it for the long haul (battling with Fernando for the Championship would be so fun)

I will be playing on PC with my T150, is anyone else planning on getting the game? If anyone gets it for PC i would love to get an online Championship started! Would be so much fun

My son is getting really into wrestling although he doesn't really watch it. He does watch some youtube stuff playing some of the games.

I bought WWE 2K16 to see how he gets on. My god, for once I'm completely lost with the controls.

Is there any simple beginner tips on what to press and do at certaim times? My son started out extremely frustrated because he couldn't work out what's going on. He's won a few now as I've took the AI recovery speed to the lowest it can be whilst on easy but surely it shouldn't be this hard to start?

    Any help is great.

2k16 was a little clunky with the controls, reversals are by far the most important aspect of the game. 2k17 changed the pace of the game for the better actually. In Wrestling the pace of the match is supposed to be slow like a chess match (also allowing for more entertainment) meaning all fighters should take damage. 2k17 allows for momentum changes with reversals better than 2k16.

Basically my pro tip would be use your sons inevitable aggression against him, let him waste light attacks on you early and when he goes for the strong grapple moves use your reversals. You will quickly gain the upper hand and can control the pace! If you try to play it like on TV it becomes much more fun.

Also do the Stone Cold story mode (if you watched wrestling in its prime '98-'01 its a walk down memory lane) it teaches you a lot about the mechanics

Got you. How big are the qualifying tournaments?

The tournament we are entering sunday for the Challenger League is only at 12 teams but last Sunday's Challenger League qualifier ended up having 49 teams to enter so essentially you'd have to win 24 games ha. It's a long shot for us to make it honestly but its a different part of the game we wanted to learn and participate in. There is also smaller tournaments popping up now so hopefully we can jump in one of those and be successful!

  12. Way back when (a couple months ago) when I joined FG, Walker had promised me fame and fortune from Rainbow 6 via winning every pro league (liar).....

Well it turns out its not as easy as we thought and we're all in for quite the grind to become even competitive. For many of you who play Rainbow 6 the competitive game and meta is no where close to the same as the ranked meta, everything needs to be planned and when chaos hits its much more chaotic than in ranked. We quickly learned this in our first ever scrim against Nerva (a CCS giant) and lost 5-2 both maps (Oregon and Clubhouse)

Our second scrim I believe we lost 5-3 both maps but we made some serious progress on the defensive front which is definitely our strength.

The maps we have chosen to really focus on and practice seem to be Oregon, Kafe, Bank, and Border or Chalet (haven't decided the last one)

We are trying to get another scrim tonight and either me or Walker can update you all on how it went!

It's all gaming dude. No PC / Console hate here.

    • I don't think PUBG should have it's own section. Outside of a map and one resource website there's really nothing content wise that's worthy of a forum for it.
    • Let's avoid making to many subs, it'll just mean we have dead empty rooms when we could be posting them in the genre they belong. If you want it to grab your attention you could flair your posts with the game before the title. [PUBG] Best places to spawn, [Warframe] New updated xxx

I think once PUBG gets ported to console it may be worth re-exploring its own section but until now i agree with you Rob

Also i really do like the idea of the reddit style flairs would really help with organization in the long run
