I'm not 100% certain on how Astro's work on pc as I haven't tried to use it. I would have thought though that PC's pick the mixamp up as a usb headset so they would continue to work. The question really though is why, most PC's have better sound than consoles, sound cards and more control over system volume, in game music, sound, chat volumes really ruling the mixamp pointless.

What I do not understand is why they get so much hate for the game, I'm sure the reddit thread exists still in which someone listed all the 'lies' that were told up to release but they kept getting crossed off as people played more and more of the game and found that they weren't actually lies. There were some things that were straight out lies, or at best were supposed to be in the game but they couldn't make the launch, but Hello Games are far from the first to lie about their game and they wont be the last. I do think some of the issue with NMS was the hype, people built this idea up of what it was going to be yet watching any streams of it and Sean Murray playing it - it was plain to see it was going to be a huge and vast but ultimately a shallow game. As for the updates, they have supposedly made it better and I keep meaning to go back to see what the updates added but I find it difficult to motivate myself for single player games. -
I think BO3 is where it's at as it's the console we (mostly) all have, the one that is plugged in, up to date etc. I still have my Xbox 360 but I don't own any of the CoD's for it anymore, I don't have my gold subscription and I think most of you lot were PS3 anyway. I did enjoy playing BO3 the other week, it was fun playing a twitch shooter again after having so long of Destiny and OW. If we can get enough people though we can do things like gun game, FFA, private SnD or custom games like pistols only or knife only etc.

I'll post some up when I get a chance as I'd like some more cards against humanity and prop hunt but you can't arrange them all Lee so I'll get my ass in gear and sort them out.

That does sound like the spawn protection thing. Maybe Bart applied it to world spawn as well as the actual spawn.

Weird, the only time I have experienced that is the spawn protection but you're too far out of spawn for that or lag but it wouldn't make sense you could destroy other blocks.

It was fantastic to be there and seeing them opening all the presents. @Diddums you're a cunt but you're our cunt so it's ok and love you for it Well that and none of us can ban you from your own forum . Kyla might not post on the forum but she's as much a part of the FG family as any of us. @GazzaGarratt I didn't take any pictures of the present opening sorry but I know photos/videos was taken. You deserve a thank you too for thinking of this collection and getting everything sorted out too. It was also great meeting you all for the first time and putting faces to the names.

Whats the rest of the spec? I'm not sure how much stuff is stored locally - I know Bart said the server keeps both places loaded for a short time when you warp. I imagine our PC's do something similar so it could be a RAM issue. It's also possible it is a VRAM issue (graphics card memory) if it is trying to keep textures and the like loaded.

Cool, I'll keep it that then. For the purpose of server load does it matter whether the energy collectors are mk1's, 2's or 3's?

I think most of us have build large enough structures they are visible on the map so if you can't see any then I would guess you're fine. I'll try and update the rail map tonight with everyone co-ordinates tonight.

It's all good Phil, it's what the servers all about. Regarding collectors, I knocked down my flowers last night and now only have 1 condensor and 4 collectors. I'm not sure if that is still too many though so let me know.

Let's Talk About Energy Collectors and Condensors

It is a mix of both in reality, yes the condensors can make normal things really fast. For regular building materials like stone, wood, dirt etc. you're looking at, even with one uncharged mk3 collector, 40 blocks per second. To give some perspective, that's a regular wooden double chest full in about a minute and a half. However, these condenser/collectors only work by having at least one of the item in the first place. Want lots of dirt well go dig some, leather? go kill a cow, iron? go mine some etc. For the more common things, I think people have them anyway but for anything more unusual we could ask to borrow it so we can duplicate it. As for helping out, whatever final form the collectors/condensors take people are welcome to use mine if they don't have their own. -

That was me that closed the door on you lot. Also it wasn't a banana in the rafters, I was a ..... no better no tell you, I can use that spot again It is especially fun being able pick your taunts, calling out "that's a negative" (or whatever it says) when you see someone shoot the wrong things

Those energy condenser will come in useful now if you need that much stone Looks awesome though, you should try and build it if you can. Also Happy Birthday for whenever it was.

I think it depends on when you start using the collectors/condensors - I mined and made myself diamond armour and tools and made the repair totem (repair token?) so they wouldn't break. I also mined the diamonds/obsidian/iron etc. needed for the first power flower I built and I carried on mining after that to help build the others until I am where I am now with a Mk3 flower. However, while I can make a lot of stuff now, I am actually no further along than I was before starting along the path of making the collectors/condenser. Obviously if you duplicate the first diamond you find to make everything then yeah, it does detract somewhat from the game. -
Thinking about it some more after I posted above, to stop any confusion now or in the future can you answer the below; - The maximum condensors each of us can have - The maximum number of collectors each of us can have - Can these run all the time we're on or should we run them only as and when we need something. So is it only the creation of an object that is causing server issues or does the energy collection do the same? The answer to these could then go in server rules. I can appreciate that you don't want to tell people how to play but when it comes to things like this which effect how others can play. Then I'd rather you just be blunt (and plainly as I'm a noob ) and say this is what you can have and no more.

No. I walked away from my PC to answer the phone and the call went on much longer than I expected. I thought I would have got AFK booted so didn't come back to my PC for a while. I'll try to remember to log off any time I walk away from my PC. I'm sorry, I've obviously not understood something here. I thought you said last night having a flower or 2 was alright but if that is still a problem they can come down. Are they only a problem when actually producing an item or are they a server drain even when collecting energy? As I can take stuff out of them so I only make something when I need it.

I assumed it was a crash, it went laggy which I thought was just lag and kicked us all off the server which I assumed was a crash. Everything seems to be fine generally but it has done it 2 or 3 times tonight.
