Don’t know if anyone has posted this before but there’s an order you should do your powerful engrams for best levelling up

Dreaming city powerful engram will drop at a much higher light than your current. Nightfall is next

After that other powerful engrams  only drop at 1 above your current level.

So doing dreaming city and nightfall will give you a quicker boost to light, and then the  plus 1’s will drop higher

The problem is, there are tiers of powerful engrams. There are 520's, 540's, and 560's.
This is a rough guide I used when I just started: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/9fh2li/leveling_guide_forsaken/?ref=share&ref_source=link

Before you're 520, just get everything. Order doesn't matter.
After you're 520 the actual way to squeeze the most light out is to get a 560 or 540 first, then get some 520s, which will drop as +1, to boost your other gear up. Then another 540/560, followed by a couple more +1's. Repeat as desired.

It's tedious and all dependent on RNG anyways, so.. just play the game and have fun. The light isn't going anywhere.
I grind because I'm an idiot and have too much free time on my hands.

OMG.  I was just checking Destinysets and a couple of the raid weapons are showing up, including a new version of one of my favourite D1 weapons, The Supremancy. Right at the start of D1 there was a event called Queens Wrath (I think ) , never repeated and the loot pool became so rare. I had this sniper, kept it all the way through three years. It was beast even if not a great roll. I think my last weekend on D1 it came out of the vault for some old times sake stuff . So pleased to see it back

It was indeed Queen's Wrath and The Supremacy was amazing.
It was high impact and a complete beast. I'm a bit upset that it's a Primary, but I also can't wait to get my hands on it again. It's literally been years but I can still hear it in my head.

  3. For optimum fun, no one should look up anything raid related. Nor should they watch yt videos or twitch streams on it.

Going in blind for the first time with five other friends is some of the best fun you will have in all of your video gaming lives.
Even if you aren't high enough light to complete it until a week or two from now, it's worth it.

  4.
3:55 is when the mission starts.
This is one of my slower runs, with me forgetting my boots at the beginning and also a death.

I also take a couple time savers that most people don't have to do, especially if you haven't done it as much as I have.
The long jump at the beginning to the tiny platform and the jump around the wall in the big "wall blastey" room, mainly.

Just in case anyone was interested. Shit quality at some points too because my internet blows.

also: this is the only run I've had where those two goblins decide to hug each other for so long. (9:40)
Was a bit funny, but time-wasting.

Be a bit careful here people! The jumping puzzle is the same but there are snipers on parts of the route because you're running the Heroic version... that's as far as I've got in practice!!

No, those are there in the normal as well. I said that everything is identical.
You just have to be quick. Or you can slow down and shoot them off. but being fast is the name of the game.

There was a thread in general gaming but maybe easier to run through the people currently around and check their profile. I'll check on my list as i think i have everyone so i can see who plays it!

Well I've wanted to try out Mafia as I've never played one of those games before. Definitely open to the private game idea Space, is there abit of background on the game you can share? How many can group up into a private lobby?

    There are custom games!
The game is sort of a "Slasher Film: The Game" type of thing.

    5 people.
1 is the killer and there are 4 survivors.
The four survivors have to power up generators and power the gate open so that they can escape.
The killer, well, is trying to stop them.

I'm excited to try this with some friends and people here.  I've never played but I did watch a lot of this game when it first came out.

  7. As for the normal mode Whisper mission, I feel like I've gotten it down pretty much to a science.
Running everyone through this weekend helped perfect the routing we take.

So much so that for the last run we did, (Rob and I helped Kawalsky1, a clan member, through) we had 8:45 left on the timer.
Granted, it seemed like he knew what he was doing, and he used his super at perfect times. We weren't on mic with him though. It was still an impressive run.

I'm happy to drag a third person through as long as I have another reliable person with me.
Just someone who can get to the enemies around the same time that I do. Usually I've been almost clearing the first room all alone.

    Check this out!

Done on a PC apparently...does that make a lot of difference?

    It does, yeah.
You save like three minutes on just swapping equipment in your menus.
Recoil is also non-existent on PC, so optimal DPS and anything that requires headshots to proc is a lot easier.

Still impressive as all hell when I first saw this, especially with how close he cut it. And I'm sure a better person than I can do it on console, it's just tough as shit right now.

  9. https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-on-why-cayde-6-must-stay-dead-and-how-the-raid-will-be-the-ultimate-culmination-of-destiny-2-forsaken/

Some snippets of an interview with game director Christopher Barrett and project lead Scott Taylor. Though, you should read the whole thing, very insightful.

    In reference to Cayde's death.

And you can't put it out there only to take it back.

Taylor: He's dead. He is dead. I will 100 percent confirm Cayde's dead. We want people to understand the stakes here. You should really hate the people who did this.

    Interesting raid bit.

In past Destiny expansions, the big bad usually ends up in a raid. Would you consider a raid possible with that kind of character rather than some enormous creature?

Taylor: I'll tell you something about the raid. I'll tell you that the raid is connected story-wise to all of this. The raid is directly related to the story of Forsaken. It's not a side thing. It is an ultimate culmination of everything that you've learned, but that doesn't mean the obvious thing.

I'm excited. The trailer was phenomenal, the atmosphere and sense of dread they are creating for the next expansion is amazing.
The song during the trailer 👌👌👌

  10. You're all a bit on the crazy side for including me in this.
I honestly can't thank you all enough for what you've given me here, a chance to find more entertainment with the friends I love.

I'm very bad with emotion and also words of gratitude, so when Lee pulled me in to a chat and told me what was happening, I honestly couldn't speak aside from a "wow" here and there. I'm much better with written words.

I'm not one for sob stories, that's just not how I do. Just know that in this shit time for myself, especially concerning money, it means so much that I was thought of in this way.

    Thank you.

  11. I've been going crazy about this all month. Can't wait!

The thing with me.. is it completely snuck up on me. I'd seen there was trailers out and the hype was building but I had no idea it came out tonight.

That's one of the reasons I stopped watching trailers. I was watching Netflix the other day and saw that it came out tonight.. I got so pumped. It was like a mini Christmas.

  12. It's really fun. Are there any sparrows better to use than another

I used an upgraded vanguard sparrow and won most of the time, if not at least top 3. I never placed below top 3, actually.

SRL is so fun. I went in with 5 other people I ~knew and had a blast. Managed to finish the questline and get a sick void sparrow. I know have a full purple Hunter. Purple emblem, the new purple and white shader from SRL, Void mantle, and the sparrow.

    I like purple okay.. I don't have a problem.

So much fun with friends and easy way to get some bounties and quests done.

Overall success and I fully expect it to come back around with more maps.

  13. I just finished the movie, "The Stanford Prison Experiment." I definitely recommend it. I also watched a documentary on it on YouTube. I read about it a while back in a psychology class. I didn't even know there was a movie about it until today. I definitely recommend it.

I'd been meaning to watch it this one, glad to hear something good. There's also a movie based on the Milgram Experiment that came out this year called Experimenter. I've heard a couple good things about, you should watch it and let me know.
