Ok so I've managed to nail down a few ideas. Firstly I can't take her on holiday as neither of us know when the graduation gig is. To that end I'll be booking a table at the Bluebird in Chelsea, a bottle of JC Leroux to have at the table, an official Open University Class of 2022 jumper, a necklace with a nice pendant with something nice engraved on it and a teacup* (She got a teacup from someone who used to work at Harrods up until the pandemic layoffs hit, he was the postie there and they got on really well, she loved that teacup until one day it broke. I've managed to hunt it down and will order one tomorrow). Not really sure what else to get but she's always dreamt of getting a degree and has worked her bollocks off for six years to get it so this needs to be about as special as the day she met me, and the day she got engaged to me, and the day we gor married. Pretty fucking high bar I know, but I'm sure I can pull it off. Cheers for all the input, especially @GazzaGarrattwho's links I haven't even looked at yet and will do tomorrow ❤️

Best film I've seen in years, maybe even ever. 10/10 easy. What. A. Film. @GazzaGarratt as long as you've seen the first one you should be alright, but for max benefit I'd say have a rewatch before you go. Also, this is a cinema film. You're losing out of if you don't do this one in the cinema.

We've already got Turkey and Saffrica booked for this year, plus all the little impromptu getaways we do, so that's covered. The one thing she's always said is that when she graduates, she wants to crack open a bottle of JC Leroux which is a Saffrican champagne, so I might book a table at the Bluebird in Chelsea and ask them to open a bottle at the table. Basically I'm proud as fuck of her and want this to be a memory she cherishes forever. Cheers for the suggestions, keep 'em coming ❤️

My company's dropping hints at job prospects around Leeds. Chatted to Kyla a bit about it and she's open to it too. Looked at houses around Leeds on Zoopla and whatnot, we can basically get a massive house with garden, garage, etc for the price of a 1 bed flat here in London. Dunno where to look though, any places in particular we should look at / avoid? We'll prolly book a few days off soon and drive up for a long weekend to have a mooch, I'll light the batsignal at the time in case anyone's up for a beer 🙂

Destiny has many reasons for me stopping playing it, the blatant cash grabs, the incessant content recycling, the bullshit metas, the fact they killed PVP, etc. None of these are reason enough for me to quit, but when added together it just ruins the game for me. That being said, when the game lies to my face about not having enough console players abd forcing me to be cannon fodder to pc players, it's shooting itself in the head. It actually irritates me no end, there are two possible outcomes here: one is that there genuinely aren't enough console players, which is a problem that very coincidentally came in to existence a week or so after cross play was enabled, or they're forcing us to play with the PC crowd because it's another income stream for them. Destiny has always been one of those games which lives permanently on the line of how-far-can-we-push-before-they-fuck-us-off, but the crossplay thing was the nail in the coffin for me. Don't lie to your customers, they'd have a lot more respect if they just said "look, we want that sweet sweet dolla from the PC players but it's not really taking off that well because on PC, Destiny is a substandard game. So we're gonna add in 10 min waiting times when playing on console, these can be skipped by turning on cross play. Oh and the new DLC is £60 pls, and have you seen the latest stuff for sale for silver?". -

Fuck me that film irritated me so much that I'm still thinking about it. Naturally I need to confirm my opinion by finding other people with similar opinions, which are all on IMDB. I thought I'd give twitter a go, and it's full of praise for the film confirming even more that Twitter is full of people who probably shouldn't be allowed shoelaces.
