  1. I certainly spent a few quid at Thorpe Park and on the Ferry to France playing this in the arcade! Absolute classic but having not played the original remake, I'm not sure how these translate especially with controls. Along with Crazy Taxi, Silent Scope and Time Crisis, it's impossible to recreate the brilliance that arcade machines used to provide. I did have this on the Dreamcast back in the day along with the light gun but I don't remember too much about it.

  2. You still see some of the arcade machines about, having the foot pedal for cover and the guns often had haptic feedback in them. I played the house of the dead game that was on the Wii, that was good fun but lightguns generally do not work so well today obviously. There is a company that I believe has just released one that works with modern tv's but I can't remember the name of them. The closest experience now is a VR headset, I have a few games on there that do get the same sort of feel as playing some of these games though it's also different at the same time.

  3. The 90s was mostly consoles for me, SNES, PS1, N64 in particular...but towards the end of the decade I had a shitty desktop that allowed me to play the likes of Championship Manager and probably my favourite game of the time GTA 2. I did play games like Unreal Tournament on my mate's PC though 🙂

  4. Love those shooting arcade games, particularly Time Crisis 🥰
