    Arrowhead games has said several times now it’s not about server size. If it was that it would be an easy fix. It’s something in the code. That’s coming from the developer.

    I never played these games and know little to nothing about them, other than people loved them! I’ll probably wait and see what the reception is like when it releases and watch some gameplay videos/live streams to see if it’s my type of game!

    Echoing this Lee, it's an absurd idea to expect servers to be capable of millions of players, even if you look at Counter Strike on PC which has a sizeable following it doesn't hit 1 million players. Considering the first helldivers was nowhere near as popular it's hard to predict this would have gone down as well as it has. Sony could easily spend a fortune now ramping up servers similar to Palworld but is that practical? The numbers will drop fairly quickly with quite a few online games coming out over the next month or so.

    So this was a surprise announcement in the Nintendo Direct, the original 2 games with a bit of a remaster but more importantly will be up to 64 players on PS5 / Switch etc which will be great. I played online on the PC for a spell and it was great fun! Any interest on here for this one?

    It’s definitely playing into the nostalgia of the games. I don’t see it being too popular to people that didn’t play them previously. I expect it to be a bit of a novelty game to be honest. But still very exciting.

    I loved the Starwars Battlefront games, I used to play them all the time on split-screen with my brother! I would definitely be interested in playing with other people when it comes out.

    I played it for a few hours when it first went to early access, haven’t picked it up since it went to full release! Like Sea of Thieves, I would be interested assuming there is cross play as il be playing through Xbox Game pass 👍🏻

    I had a brief go with this when it was first released on xbox. Now it's coming to other consoles I am giving this a nudge to see if anyone else would be interested? My first impressions were pretty positive so looking forward to playing this now that it's further down the developmental road.

    This is apparently working nearly every time for people so may want to try this out 😄 We were on last night ( @Luseth @Macca89 and @Mitch) and where Mitch and Macca got straight on, Matt and myself got the server message. Having said that it only had to retry twice and Matt once so we were both in less than 2 minutes and it was great all night! That was just after 8pm too so a very high peak time so its not as bad as people probably think. I don't think its ridiculous because no game offers 10 million slots for concurrent gameplay, thats insane and probably costs an absolute fortune. AA games aren't expected to have the amount of immediate success they had and whilst i'm super disappointed I couldn't play over the weekend due to servers, sometimes I have sympathy for a company that delievered something way better than they even anticipated. I'd urge more people to give it a go and try and log on. I don't think the peak will last for months too. Whilst replayability now is amazing, we know that their regular updates won't be as quick as other live service games. You don't have to gorge the content (you can't anyway because of slowish XP progression), rather more the game is there to be enjoyed having a ton of doing a few missions with some laughs involved.

    It’s a shame as I was considering picking it up this weekend to try and jump in with some of you … sounds like I should wait another week or so! It’s difficult as I definitely understand the fans/players frustrations, paying £35 for a game that they often can’t even play! I do have sympathies for the developer though as they really didn’t expect the success they are seeing! Hopefully this will all be suited in the next week or so!

    Loads of people have been dying for more Elden Ring content - I know the Americans @Jason and @BO7H B4RRELS have been waiting forever for it, so its nice to finally see the rumours 100% confirmed. My son is stoked for it, he doesn't get too loud about hype but has already said its worth pre-ordering it. Looked really good, as you would expect from FromSoftware. Anyone else keen?

    Where to start? In fact, that's a good point in itself because I have no idea where the starting point is for 2024 now we're already in February! 😅 Life has seriously flown by from what I've experienced, even when it has certainly been busy (Yes, 'busy'. The common phrase we all fall into using most days...I have also been one of those victims 💀). With 2024 already well on its way and started it would be awesome to see the energy pumping back up again across the board. As you get older I've realised that my purpose in life is really to make others feel happy and that they have meaning too. Seems cheesy, like, really cheesy doesn't it. 🧀 But sod it, I don't care. And it matches what FG does and already has been doing for years and years. Depression, Loneliness, Illness, Loss, Sadness...I could go on. Think of all of the things you can you think of that aren't a great feeling to have in life, FG has been there in some way to help people with this. We should do more of it. We need to do more of it. Someone said to me recently you can't change the world...yeah, yeah, I know that. But I woke up today thinking, well is there any problem if we did give it a go? 😎 So, rather than go on and on as I know you all love it when I do 😘 lets be far briefer than previous articles. All I ask is we make one promise together here at FG in 2024 - to put in as much effort as humanly possible making our FG Home alive and kicking more than it ever has been. No metrics, just pure effort. You'll quickly find you'll be helping more FGers than you realise just by sticking around, getting involved and thinking of others. GGFG ❤️🖤
