  2. I'm excited to see what else they release. I've been playing Kuru Kuru Kururin, which I'd never heard of until this release. Gets pretty challenging with the puzzles but it's a great pick up and play game.

  3. Probably the best game on the Game Boy. A great game...but when you see how people have completed the world records on it, people really started to take Mario Kart to the next level in this one. I won't be paying extra for the access as I'm lucky that I still have my GameBoy and Advance SP.

  4. I love the Vaznev, I enjoy all the SMG's. I do have a soft spot for the Lachmann Sub and Minibak as well. Hell even the P90. Vaznev feels the best to me tho.

    Your gaming backlog

Well Tesco's are stopping selling games etc. What we had was half priced last week. Then reduced again. There was 2 copies of God Of War through the back still. They were selling them for £30 last week. Loads of Fifas and Horizon going cheap as well that got cleared. Our range has slowly got smaller over the last year or 2. I heard someone got a switch for £90 in another local store. So if there are any games floating about Tesco's left they will be cheap. Maybe ask at the customer service desk if there is anything going. We haven't sold actual consoles for a year or more. But hunt a few stores on the passing. Worth a shout, but I imagine most and everything is already gone. Mostly PS4, PS5 and Xbox games that was about.

  9. I’ve recently started playing this about a month ago and I’m hooked. I use to enjoy MTG many, many years ago. Always liked the turn based card games. I was wondering if anyone plays. Love to hear about deck builds and strategies.

    Your gaming backlog

I have comitted to getting a new car this weekend and it's going to result in monthly payments so I decided to work out way's I can save money elsewhere in my life. One of my biggest expenditures is my gaming hobby as I often buy games new or buy games when I have loads still to play 😄 So this weekend I started noting down my gaming backlog with the intention that each time I complete a game then I will delve into that list first for my next game rather than buying a new one to help save a few quid. Turns out I have a big backlog, I only noted down physical games as if I include diigital it includes the subscription services and steam and get's rather big. So my intention for the next 6 months is to focus on playing just games I already own, I think I have 2 additional games pre-ordered in the next 6 months but I am going to try and not buy another game between now and August 🙂 So how big is your backlog? Do you actually play games from it or do you frequently say you are going to and never get round to it?

  12. @GazzaGarratt we still need to get a night together to play that Football Manager board game too! I'm sure @Stretch616 , @Findmartin and @G_dub52 might be interested as well as some of the other Coventry boys!

  13. Tesco stopped at our nearest one recently @IRaMPaGe and it was one of the few reasons we've had the Tesco Credit Card over the years to get vouchers to spend on them. Shame they're stopping really. If you have more stock at your place left, give me a shout as I may be able to do something with some of them!

  14. Not even sure I want to open Pandora's Box on this one, my backlog is pretty much everything I own which just not possible this year or years maybe. Whats stopping me go full hog into this just yet is my gaming setup. Its good, and i'm lucky to have what I have, but I need to overhaul it so its far easier to connect old consoles up to get more games on the go within seconds. I'm hoping this will be done nearer the holiday season this year fingers crossed. However, I pushed hard this at the start of this year to try more single player games. It won't be what I gravitate to because I want FG to flourish and grow for everyone's beenfit so Multiplayer will always win over most nights. BUT I did complete my first CoD campaign in years and now Hogwarts Legacy is getting minutes here and there every few days. I'd love to get a few PC games on the go, Valheim far more but maybe some more server games too. I need to make time for Tarkov and would love to get a large group here playing Sea of Thieves considering most of us have never touched the surface with all the longer quests in the game. A few I'd like to give a go at some point this year off the top of my head: Escape From Tarkov (PC) Sea of Thieves (PC/Xbox) God of War (PS4) Minecraft FG Realm (PS4/PC/Switch) GT7 Platinum Trophy (PS5) Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge (PS4) Metal Slug 1st Mission (Neo Geo Pocket) A full run through/review time for all the old football games (PS1 & PS2 mainly) Abe's Oddysee (PS1) Stellaris (PC)

    DMZ Season 2

You can’t drill charge from outside as there is a trophy system in the room. on my last run yesterday I got all the way to the top had taken out everyone including the bombmaker except for 1 riot shielder in the top room, I almost got him but had no plates no lethals no munitions box and he got me before I could get him my old man aim just isn’t good enough to hit the hand with the gun. All I need to do is place a file on a desk in that room! I don’t even need to extract.

I have not gotten that far but tried drill charges? That a molotovs are my go to shield guy extermination method. But I prefer the drill charges since you can do that from behind walls. Wonder they didn't do that in the video instead of firing also

    DMZ Season 2

yeah! I cheesed it using this method, you need to make sure you have armor piercing rounds, but I am trying to clear the castle normally for a different mission where I need to plant some documents from Al Mazrah in the castle at the moment, I can usually get all the way to the top room but the riot shield guys in that top room are insane.

Ok, right off the bat. Why does no one sound Russian?!?!? If the game is based in an alternate Russia, why the fuck does everyone sound American?? The intro sequence is a fucking slog. I legit wanted to shut the game off during it. This thing just drags this intro bit so damn slow, and It is just boring as hell. They try to fill it with some lore crap, but due to the aforementioned lack of anyone sounding like a Russian, I find that I don't care. This isn't off to a good start at all. *UPDATE* I did in fact shut it down after over 30 minutes of non-playing intro. I'll get into the ACTUAL gameplay tomorrow if @Rumelyladydoesn't go to wizard school.

  24. I think my despair at Blues is really crippling my love of the sport at the moment. Yet more charges to come for the club and people at it from the EFL, this time for allowing people to run the club (part of the recent takeover attempt) without passing the proper tests etc. Our current ownership is so inept and really shouldn't be anywhere near a football club. There is an investigative journalist who has been looking into the ownership for years and he has found the only reason they are holding onto our club is because the company that owns Blues need to have an asset such as the club in order for them to be on the hong kong stock exchange. If they did not have Blues they would not be allowed to trade on there. The problem with this is it does not matter what state the club is in, so long as it continues to function. It won't matter if it drops down the leagues, loses millions every year etc it just need's to be functioning. We had such a good start to the season and I think part of that was due to the potential takeover but the wheels have certainly come off since that all fell through. Think I am going to just ignore Birmingham until we get new owners as it's just a bit sh*t and start following Stourbridge my local club.

    Hogwarts Legacy

Not convinced it will get game of the year, simply because games released so early in the year tend to get forgotten about when it get's round to voting time. There are also some potentially big games coming out this year as well with spiderman 2, the next Zelda game, diablo IV and Stalker 2 to name a few. That said I am getting quite far into the game now and have almost 50% of the trophies done and I am still quite enjoying it. I feel like there might be too much to collect and what probably let's it down is that you just go from point A to point B to point C just collecting items etc. I think of the Witcher 3 as it is still my top game, you would go round various points around the map but you would be following little stories and the such that would guide you to the points. I mean there are all these goblin camps all over the place and I don't think I have ever been introduced to them or told why they are scattered about, I know there is a goblin rebellion but I am not sure the game has ever suggested it was such a big open rebellion. In fact a lot of Ranrok's stuff had been skulking around for the first portion of the game. I just think it could have been fleshed out a lot more. Another thing I thought about, your meant to be this kid going to Hogwarts school, you can sort of choose a good or evil play through by choosing whether or not to learn the unforgiveable curses but then if you use the ancient magic you can be bashing people off the floor or turning them into a toad and stamping on them and such. Those seem as grim if not worse than the unforgiveables, or am I wrong? The game looks fantastic and I am enjoying it as a Harry Potter fan but I don't feel it will be game of the year unless all voters are looking at it through HP specced glasses. I imagine you might be able to, if you stealth everything and just stupify everyone / everything I reckon you could.

Just going through more modern games in the backlog to name a few - Dying Light 2 Rage 2 Scarlet Nexus Kingdom hearts 3 Devil May Cry 5 Diablo 2 (remaster) & 3 Triangle Strategy Harvestella But yeah there are quite a few more, I found an app yesterday that will allow me to keep track of them easier and log when they are done called gametrack (iphone)

  28. The SteamDeck has helped tremendously when looking at backlog games, Prey for example, is finally getting a play through. Aside from that I've mostly been finishing Division 2 dlc in terms of older games.

  29. Although I have several games I haven't played yet, I probably wont ever get round to them - either being freebies or some historic impulse purchase in the sale that I just don't feel like playing. In recent years I've been a bit more disciplined with such purchases so I don't get lumbered with a quantity of games and just waste my money in the long run. Darkwood is probably the only game I have installed that I need to get round to playing. Also RE: Code Veronica on PS5. Recently I've just been revisiting some classics like Gears of War, Metroid Prime and currently Metal Gear Rising. I also have the original Red Dead Redemption to go through and Gran Turismo 4. I found that installing lots of games and trying to schedule them actually stressed me a little and I didn't enjoy them as much but now I'm only playing what I want to play and it's usually only one title I'm focused on.
    1 point
  30. oh man, don't remind me of my backlog, it must be 200-400 games and most of them freebies, definitely most of them won't be my cup of tea, but it's still a time-consuming process going through them all and giving them a chance
    1 point
  31. Oh man... My backlog is too damn full. I'm a sucker for a sale, and I've bought quite a few games but almost instantly put them on the back burners with the "I'll play this one next" marked on it. Of course, that never happens and a lot of the time, it was due to Destiny. Seeing as I've stopped playing that, I'm slowly picking away at it, even though I'm forever cursed to buy more during sales. Lol That, or thanks to game pass, something new will pop up and instantly take my time. It's tough being a gamer.
    1 point
  32. I don't have a massive backlog. I don't buy many unless I know I will play. When I do buy a game I play it to death until it's done or that. I have plenty monthly freebies stored, but don't often get time to play them.
    1 point
  33. That sounds great man, good idea! What games are you going to be going through? I'm still super interested in playing my Playstation 2 games, so I'd say they're my backlog per-say. Although I've been thinking about trying to stream them as well. I've got NFS Most Wanted and The Simpsons Hit and Run, both which I'd like to record playing. As well as others I want to play more casually.

  34. OK, yeah it's only me that plays this but it keeps me honest 😅
    1 point
  35. Yeah absolutely, the hardcore nature of it is what attracts me, and that's definitely not for everyone. You can go into a raid with nothing but a knife, they are called 'hatchet runs' and can be fun too 😁
    1 point
  36. I’ve looked at and considered Tarkov however I feel as it seems a bit more hardcore, more technical and with much more depth which honestly is a good thing but for me I like the party style nature of DMZ. Whereby you can still have a good match even if you enter with nothing.
    1 point
  37. In Tarkov, in between missions there are traders and also a flea market to buy and sell weapons etc You also start with an equipment locker to stash your stuff, which you can make bigger by expanding your hideout. But yeah, if you do badly you can lose your gear, and if you keep doing badly you can run out of money. This does cause a phenomenon known as 'gear fear' 😁 But you can also play as an AI character once an hour to go in and scavenge loot for your main character.
    1 point
  38. Yeah, it is sadly PC only. DMZ is a chill out game for me when compared with Tarkov. Tarkov is more hardcore, tactical and realistic, in theory. There's about 8 maps to choose from. It's similar in that you get dropped in a random location and have to get extracted to leave successfully. You die you lose everything you're carrying, and though you can ensure your gear, its no guarantee you'll get it back. It has RPG elements, you have missions, skills to rank up, a hideout to build among others. It gets my heart pumping like old school DayZ. A pity its only on PC.
    1 point
  39. Is it a PC only game. Looks like the only way to get it is to get the download (beta) on their site. DMZ keeps being compared to it. How does it compare?
