We probably will play it longer because the new one this year 🤣 will be made by sledgehammer games 🤣 so I'm still seeing mw2 as a 2 year release. Definitely won't buy a cod for campaign.

In MW2019 it was Kill Chain.

They were cleaver about the campaign. You could get a reward for each chapter you completed which would help with MP. Double XP, blue prints, operators.

What perk is that? I do the score. I see no reason to do kills as things like assists, DDOS, ammo crates would also count even in tdm. To make KS worth it, the should also the KS to stack for your next streak which is what I think you are talking about. It shouldn't count for Points as those are so easy to get.

Scorestreaks FTW. You get score for everything - kills, assists, using streaks, if you have a UAV or CUAV up then you'll get assist points if team mates get a kill. Scorestreaks just make more sense.

Scorestreaks are definitely the way to go. It’s less important if you just play tdm but objective games modes scorestreaks are the only way. Though given the score is basically the same as kills in TDM it makes you wonder why it’s not scorestreaks as default. I just wish they’d have brought back the perk that allows streaks to count to other streaks.

I used Killstreaks when the game first launched. Then I realised how good scorestreaks were. Scorestreaks FTW!

That's just corporate waffle. The leak surrounds them potentially doing a u-turn on the planned Year 2 MW2 DLC and instead releasing it as MW3. That's a huge difference if so.

Score streaks = easy streaks. Everything you do gives you score.

In MWII scorestreaks everytime. You get points from objectives, assists and field upgrades. I'm also pretty sure that assists also includes UAV and CUAV assists,

Used to do Killstreak all the time but let's face it - now that we have a choice and I am an absolute objective scoring whore then there was only one answer.

Based off the last 4-5 CoDs, we ended up playing MW2019 because it was pretty solid for a number of years and Cold War and Vanguard didn't cut it at all. If MW2 can stay supported and not get too many rubbish balance patches that screws it up then I see us playing MW2 for much longer than usual. May get the new one for the Campaign though as MW2 was the first CoD campaign i've done for ages.

Sort of but it all ties in and the source information and circumstances fit perfectly. Activision have been fairly indirect and vague about it but if you tie in each studio announcement and report, it becomes clearer. They loosely confirmed back in August that for the first time in 20 years, there would be no mainline COD game in 2023 and instead it would be of ‘premium DLC content’ origin after an initial Jason Schrierer report. In November, Sledgehammer confirmed their involvement as lead developers for this alleged ‘premium content’ and further confirmed in December it would be of an expansion package-type release. Activision will only confirm when it’s all set in stone but from the reports, sources and studio announcements under the table, it’s all pretty much credible and now being widely reported in the gaming media.

Wasn’t MW2 having a two year cycle just leaks and rumours anyway?

We're talking about the leak and the content of COD's premium offering this year, not the generic context spiel of some financial report which states there will be a premium release this year. We already know this and have done since November last year. What you seem to be missing is that it may be MW3 as a standalone game rather than MW2 DLC as originally planned and nowhere in the irrelevant financial report does it mention this.

Am 8-k filling is not just corporate waffle. It's a legally binding announcement.

Xenia Canary *cough cough🤣 I have all 3 on the 360 and the Ultimate Edition on Windows but it runs like absolute ass. If they are available on Game Pass, I'd recommend giving them a shot although only the first can be played on PC along with 4 and 5.

I keep meaning to play these Gears games. I have them for my 360, but always end up finding something else to play. Are you playing these on GamePass or Xbox One?

This game is dope as shit.

I had to really fight for the Robin Hood mission, destroy supplies was giving me 1 safe and at times none, in the end I did it with a deckhands tool box key (24k always inside it), a loot of saweh hotel on this run it had like 45k of loot and a couple of nuclear material contracts. it’s mostly massive RNG sometimes the hotel can have less than 5k loot and others it can have 50k plus unfortunately we didn’t @GazzaGarratt

I have had it happen of times. I might have noticed it more when I was with squads doing the RobinHood mission. Seems like the all appear pretty close when that happens. You can get your 100K pretty quick that way

Great review @Luseth it seems like a game to keep the fans happy. I've avoided the drama around JKR, I don't like being told what to do, and I don't like being judged...but the more I know the less I like, and so for me, its not a game I'll ever play.

Its a real shame thats the case. Its like the game has really set sail into oblivion (not a bad pun I must say 😄). I do miss that mobile game you could play to ship and ferry resources around through the day whilst the game was off. I'd probably would've just taken a Pirate Simulator game by now.

I play tested it, i lasted maybe 30 minutes before uninstalling 👍

Sledgehammer make decent campaigns so I'll be looking forward to that. I definitely won't be rushing to buy this game as until I see how they treat 6v6 this time around.

This turned up a day early for me yesterday so I managed to get a few hours on it so just giving my initial thoughts on it and I will begin with the negatives, the introduction section seemed a bit all over the place if I am being honest, it was trying to set up the story but did so badly I felt. The combat did not really feel too taxing, in fact I was carrying out the combat with one hand at one point just pressing the same buttons repeatedly and switching between a couple. The voice acting is very mixed in terms of quality, some of it is brilliant and you can tell have been done by some great actors / actresses, some of the students however have not been and it is really noticeable. The visuals are as you would expect, it all looks brilliant and the way they have done Hogwarts, Hogsmeade etc look brilliant. I think they have nailed it. Once the introduction is out of the way and you reach Hogwarts then the game blossoms. That said the game itself is exactly what it needed to be, it's a magical world where you can explore Hogwarts. It is all about the setting, little things like a watering can watering plants all on it's own or owls flying ahead or the way you might come across some magical creature. It is just brilliant and genuinely I have a big grin on my face playing it. Just like living out a part of my childhood again. I can see why it has reviewed well and it is down to it being Harry Potter, if it wasn't it would have scored around 7's out of 10 I reckon at first glance ^_^

No weapons case progress isn't being reset I'll edited the list! Although I literally just 2 minutes ago extracted case 7 from Al Mazrah! I've had some interesting runs with the weapons case!

wonder if that means they are wiping the weapon case progress. Seems like not which means that the bioharzard skin is still within reach

Presumably this is the same method as the other cases, kill the boss, extract with the weapon case Al Mazrah and Building 21 Weapons Case rewards remain the same and progress is retained Plane crash added to Sattiq caves area AI Tuning Improved Spawn Points I'm really excited about the change in Sattiq caves point I think this is a really interesting development and basically converts this area of sattiq to be just like Afghan from the OG MW2 If there are any rewards from faction missions that you want then now is the time to complete those missions and don't be sentimental about that Contraband or any of your Keys they are all disappearing on the 15th so just use them! No rush on weapons cases.

Just completed Gears of War after revisiting it for the first time in 16 or so years. Now started on the 2008 sequel. Hoping to get in Metal Gear Rising in a couple of weeks for its 10th year anniversary and somehow gotta find time to squeeze in Hogwarts Legacy if I pick it up this month!

It sucks when a game is delayed, however I would rather more time given to hopefully sort things rather than the half baked release. Especially these days with the likes of Cod, BF, Cyberpunk etc.

Most places these days have a 'pass' for this kind of message due to so many developers not being able to accurately predict when they are ready. Always seems the right thing to do, to have a more finished product out there. Although, it does make you slightly concerned as not all delayed releases still launch well *cough Anthem cough* 😄Fingers crossed they can use the time to launch really well.
