EU have done a humiliating u-turn after widespread condemnation but the damage is done. They've essentially shown their true colours as malicious dictators to the world. Not only were they so triggered by a comment made by the health secretary regarding the speed of our approval process thanks to Brexit, I'm willing to bet they didn't want to buy into the AstraZeneca vaccine purely on the basis it was of British origin. It's the only reason as to why their approval process would be 3 months late which also coincided with the release of other non-UK vaccine variants. UK might be better off out of that toxic shithole after all. I just feel bad for the people of Europe having to suffer because of incompetence and childishness by fully grown politicians.2 points -

Phil would love to play with everyone or atleast have everyone give it a go. I know it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea but it's been awhile since I have actually been excited for a game and I think this one could actually turn out really well done. I think 3rd person shooters are great if done right and people can fly definitely know how to do that. They helped make gears of War and I understand some people don't like that style of game but maybe just maybe this game that throws a lot of good ideas into one pot that has taken from some other games and makes it amazing. But I'll definitely be on the demo for sure, they also have a pc video up for just basic knowledge of how the game will operate and run on most people's systems which is actually really nice information that many companies don't even care to do anymore.2 points -

EU's conduct today has been absolutely disgraceful - First they threw a tantrum a few weeks ago because the UK approved the AstraZeneca very quickly and now they are trying to steal 3.5m doses of the vaccine by using a fake German news article saying that it's only 10% successful against Covid in the over 65's in a shameful bid to divert supply and put many vulnerable lives at risk here. They only approved the vaccine themselves today and have further thrown Northern Ireland under the bus in some outrageous revenge bid to cause the utmost friction. Maybe if they moved their arses as a matter of urgency instead of picking and choosing at the 11th hour, they wouldn't have a supply issue with prospective orders going unfulfilled to paying countries instead. Those bureaucratic bastards have let down their own member states and are childishly passing the buck in the most despicable way possible. If they provisionally adopted the AstraZeneca vaccine and started the approval process last year; not only would they have stock, there could've also been extra temporary supply depots created within the EU. Instead they've left it to the last minute and are now scrambling in the most desperate way possible. We saw them confiscate ham from sandwiches the other week which was hilarious but this is far more serious. The people are the ones suffering whilst the suits just want to squabble - the vaccine being made political is what everyone feared.2 points -

So here of latley only some of you know I have just completed my fully built monster of a pc, well I myself have been gaming on console for a long time but used to game on pc. Well as of late I have been none stop playing Destiny 2. As of some of the veterans and even some of the old school guys know beyond light just dropped, but if your like me the game is dull and there is nothing to do. So this is where we come to this topic. Myself and Lee have been discussing this for awhile and I wanted some feedback. So let's jump into this dirty beast. So outriders is a new looters shooter coming to all platforms. Some of you have heard about the game some of you haven't. The game was published by Square Enix and developed by People who fly. Some of you almost know about Square Enix little disaster several moths ago with Avengers, but im having high hopes for the game. So let me go into detail on why I have high hopes for this game ( also will leave links at the end of gameplay and more in depth info if wanted): This looter shooter is not your typical looters shooter, there are several reasons for that one being there is no pvp, there is no extra add seasonal content what you buy is the hole game and fully loaded game with a bunch of story missions and no recycled endgame content. The modification system and crafting system is complex but simple at the same time and what I mean by that is you have over 300 mods to collect in the game that allow you to do crazy things to your guns and armor. I could go into deeper detail of that but we will save that for latter. The game has crossplay which is amazing for someone like me who obviously wants to play on my monster of a pc but still play with my ps4 friends as well, but it doesn't stop there in game there are stations where you just stop at load in with your friends game help them progress on there story or vise versa and you can jump in and out as you want. There are four unique classes that will fit everyone's play style. Each class has a 3 skill tree's that you can invest skill points 30 points into ming and maxing your builds where and it is free to respect at any time and anywhere you please. Did I mention endgame content is going to be one packaged deal no payed services or add on dlc with hard activities for soloing junkies like myself or 3 people to go in a face off in the endgame content. Also endgame content has NO recycled story missions, so no regrinding the same mission over and over again to get a god roll loot. The story campaign alone is netted to take around 25 to 60 hours to complete and 40 to 80 if you do all side missions in the campaign which is crazy for just a campaign anymore in a looter shooter. I know I have said a lot but there is so much more to go into. I'm only really scratching the surface of this game. I think Square Enix learned from Avengers and they are letting everyone demo out there new game for almost 2 months before the launch of the actual game to see how the community reacts and yes all progress in the demo made will carry forward if you'd like. So ill stop rambling on about this game let me know if maybe this is something as FG we could maybe start an actual page for or discuss our feelings on as well if the game actually turns out to be as good as it looks and im hoping it to be. Would love to hear from all of you and your thoughts ether here or on discord much love FallenDark200. Psn- FallenDark200 Steam- FallenDark2001 point -

1/30/2021 Workout Squat Workshop Movement: Front Squats --> 3 seconds down, 3 seconds hold "in the hole", up as quickly as you can. Sets of 3. Add weight until it becomes a set of 1. Thoughts: So, I haven't really front squatted in years... and when I have, it was just doing the movement and not doing anything at a certain tempo. I knew that hold at the bottom was going to kill me lol. It did. My 1 rep weight for this was 185lbs. Surprisingly for me, it wasn't the weight that killed me. It was my wrists being fatigued! I couldn't hold the bar in rack position any longer. This is a very new thing for me. So, I guess I really need to work on my wrist strength? Looks like as I put in my squats at home with dead hangs to finish is a good idea. Both coaches were there today. Plus a different set of people aside from Sally, who I guess is now becoming a gym buddy as we suffer together lol. Other people wanted to see me squat? I didn't think it was that odd for a woman to be squatting the amount I can. But, then again, the HIIT community in my region is weird an atypical of the rest of the US. Not bad for today's workout. I only did 3 workouts this week because I wanted to rest my body for recovery and see how it will affect the scale when I do my official weigh-in on Monday or Tuesday. Aside from the few bites of cinnamon roll French toast off of husband's plate and basically half a naan with my Indian food last night, I think I should be okay. But, you never know. And, I'm not going to stress it. Woo-sa... I might do a quick 1000m row tonight and some deadlifts to balance out the sugar and extra carbs that put me out of "keto". Easier to slip back into keto if I workout in the evening before dinner.1 point -
Garmin also shows you your training load which helps you see if you're pushing too hard, not hard enough, etc. I've been "productive" but we had snow/ice and I didn't run for two days, only walked. Yesterday I went to "peaking" which means you're recovered from previous loads but aren't detraining yet. I ran a 27:45 5k today, a new personal best by 45 seconds.1 point

@GazzaGarratt so I have a perfect video for anyone that is looking to endgame content. At this moment there is no plan of adding any Dlc. Also it's a 3 player co-op style game, it doesn't allow a bunch of people go in to one activity but allowing people in a group of 3 to build plan and stratgize between everyone but here is an amazing video anyone wanting to look really deep into deep into endgame content. Also ment to mention your character level ups to 30 but your weapons and armor will go up to 50.1 point -

I've kept one eye on it on Twitter for the past few months after Justin mentioned it to me some time ago. Its interesting in itself that this is the first post on FG about it because it looks like a game I would probably expect some folk will get into it. Looks like Square Enix are following the Borderlands method as you can play the game online AND offline, so i'd argue its not a direct comparison to Destiny in that manner because its not really a live service game. The key for me will be the diversity in what available game modes and variety in missions there are. For me personally I'd go one further too as it depends on the size of the group that can play it. Don't blame them not to do PvP as well as too many have tried and failed at mixing them both with Destiny still struggling to keep everyone happy on both sides. The builds and idea of classes look like they gel well. I'm similar to @phil bottle that i'm not too keen on 3rd person looters because for me it doesn't become as intense as FPS ones but that doesn't mean it can't still be good. Division 1 and 2 had some great spells for most of us here actually but they link to one section this game must get right if they want to be successful and a large playerbase - endgame. I don't doubt the content to be there on Day 1 but many people enjoy regular updates to games rather than chunky DLCs - are the DLCs planned free by the way? Once you get past the main campaign there has to be stuff to keep you ticking over. The Division has suffered from that and tried to go into creating raids and the DZ (PvP) which helped somewhat but you cansee how much it dropped off as soon as people finished the main campaign or got close to it. Always welcome new games to the fray. It would be nice to see who else is interested in this at FG as I will be giving it a go - I know many of us buy games because of each other so I think theres some legs in it, just depends how long. Glad there is a free demo (not beta) on 25th Feb which will help most here decide what to do. Whats everyone else's thoughts on it?1 point -

A couple of things to add. 1. The tyres you're using - from hard to super soft - will all have different fastest times. 2. Do your laps in the lobby if you haven't been. For some reason doing them in the Arcade mode the tracks have been given more grip, so the times aren't realistic.1 point -

If you're going to take your phone with you, you don't really need the music aspect, IMO. I guess if you don't want to have your phone with you then it makes more sense. I always have my phone with me, though, and I let my music play through the phone speakers since I don't want headphones blocking out the world around me.1 point -

I don’t know about Tsukuba as never done it in Gr4. For Mount Panorama, the worlds fastest times will be low 2mins but I think anything under 2:10’s is doing well. It’s really over the mountain that can gain or lose so much time. Basically after turn 3, the uphill left hander, you can run full throttle (or with some small lifts) until you need to brake for the downhill chicane (Skyline chicane).1 point -

It's in the settings in the account info etc the screen where you enable/disable crossplay. You push square or something and it hides and shows email and I'd numbers. But @anticonscience genuinely doesn't have an Activision ID. I managed to add him with the gamertag. I'm assuming he has no Virtual imprint from previous cod's online.1 point -
GT Sport - FG Races
GazzaGarratt reacted to Greboth for a topic
I think it's safe to say that the races this week were mostly disliked due to Brands Hatch and Laguna Seca which are both tricky circuits with little room for error. Race 1 - Brands Hatch Gr.3 4 laps A tricky track with Paddock Hill (T1) catching out a lot of people throughout practice, qualifying and the race not to mention the fast right handers of Hawthorne, Westfield and Dingle Dell. Qualifying for me started disastrously, I got out the pits second with, I think, Phil in front of me who kindly let me past for my flying lap which I then spun on. No worries, I'll nail the next lap until I ran wide out the last corner which ruined the start of my second lap. With only 10 minutes of qualifying and half of it gone by this point I managed to get a good lap in to grab second before setting a faster lap to get pole. Judging by the rage and swearing going on in chat, I think most people were fairing similarly to me on their quali lap. On to the start of the race, with how many mistakes I had made throughout my qualifying I tentative about pushing too much as 4 laps would not be enough to recover from a mistake. The start was pretty clean though with the exception of Matt @Misneach_ who was straight off at T1 which he never really recovered from. Lurch and Phil were looking like they could be a challenge too until at T3 Lurch ran wide and spinning back on to the track right in to the path of Phil. This gave Kiwi and I a gap but Kiwi was pushing hard in second meaning I couldn't let off too much else he'd be passed. I managed to keep it clean albeit relatively slow with Kiwi making a mistake at T1 of lap 3 giving me a little breathing room of a little over 2 seconds. Kiwi was obviously hungry for the win though as he pushed getting the fastest lap on the last lap and closing the gap to just over 1 second by the finish line. Race 2 - Laguna Seca Gr.4 13 laps A few of us had done some practise over the weekend for this race and from this it was obvious the Audi TT was by far the fastest car round the track over a lap. Though with tyre wear on and 13 laps, the choice was to not pit and have some horrible front tyres by the end or pit and lose however long that takes. In practising, I tried out the Toyota GT86 which not being FWD was much kinder on it's front tyres than the Audi TT but at the cost of being 1-1.3 second a lap slower on ultimate pace. The gamble was could I stay close enough to the front that if people pitted I'd have enough of a lead that I couldn't be caught or that I'd be close enough to take advantage of better tyres towards to the end of the race. Ultimately I decided to stick with the GT86 for the practise leading up qualifying, if it was looking like I'd be too slow then it would give me time to switch back to the Audi TT. Over the practise, I felt I was quick enough that the GT86 could work so I stuck with it. So we started qualifying and, similar to Brands Hatch, I binned it and unfortunately due to the pack being pretty close I had to let everyone through costing me precious qualifying time. I managed to get a quick lap in though so stick it on provisional pole but unfortunately caught up to the pack meaning I had to waste a lap to drop back. Still I managed to get a better lap in to extend the gap back to second then Kiwi absolutely smashed it setting a pole time 1 second faster. At that pace, I suddenly wasn't so certain I'd made the right car and strategy choice but too late to change now. So on to the race, right from the start I was managing to keep Kiwi honest and only following a small mistake did I drop more than 1 second behind. At the end of lap 3 or 4, I tried a pass at the last corner but missed my braking point by a couple metres causing me to run wide and allowing Kiwi the switch back. The next lap I tried again and this time sticking the pass and then tried to pull away. Around lap 7 and 8, I think most people pitted leaving me to just need to keep it on the black stuff to take the win. Race 3 - Tskuba N100 9 laps I think most of us went in to this race pretty blind though we have done this combo before. The highlight of this had to be Stretch choosing a classic VW camper van and managing to hold up a good number of people during practise. It was also fun to annoy Mike by cruising up behind and easily passing him as he was stuck behind Stretch in his campervan - that 100 shot of NOS I've got hidden in my car comes in useful at times. I'm just thankful I didn't blow the welds on my intake manifold. At the start of qualifying Stretch got out first and unofficially we decided that he deserved pole at least for a short while until we all went faster. That was until, I believe, Mike tried to overtake on the first qualifying lap so putting Wreckfast and GTA driving in to practise he was soon knocked off track allowing Stretch to get pole for whole second. After that qualifying was pretty uneventful from my perspective and I managed to take pole. On to the race, I don't know what I did different but I seriously bogged down the launch costing me a few places which due to a bit of luck I made up a couple following Mike's kamikaze dive in to the middle hairpin. This left me chasing Kiwi for the lead and over the course of the remaining laps I caught up and after a few nudges, a bit of rubbing and a BTCC inspired pass I took the lead where that 100 shot of NOS came in useful as it allowed me to pull away out the last hairpin rather than allow Kiwi to get the benefit of the tow.1 point -

100,000 is an horrific milestone - we were just too slow off the mark to take strong preventative action. The Cheltenham festival should have been postponed along with the Liverpool v Athletico Madrid game. Both those events were responsible for an early surge and a window of action was there to be taken. The most significant one was the amount of overseas people returning to the UK from high-risk places such as Milan and Madrid who weren't tested at either end and nor were they told to isolate. We did get a grip on it through the summer but people became far too relaxed whilst others, especially in the East of England persistently violated any restrictions in place. BLM protests did not help along with the insane numbers at beaches down south. Several politicians have also violated the guidelines they supported which was a huge kick in the teeth. That Scottish SNP one who berated Cummings yet she went up and down the country having taken a test, neglected to isolate and was found to have Covid potentially infected tens. She then claimed Covid impaired her decision making which was the ultimate insult. Thank fuck she has been charged criminally. Labour have been vocal but have offered fuck all in strategic terms - their entire purpose is sit on the fence, point out mistakes after they've happened and then play the hindsight card to make themselves look good. The amount of political point scoring attempts by them through this process has been disgusting and now even the vaccine has gone political with the EU who are clearly still bitter after Brexit. The political landscape in this country is beyond fucked so matter who you follow - they are all a bunch of clueless, dishonest clowns. I've lost count of how many said a second lockdown was an overreaction and not needed and now the same ones area saying we cannot lift the third one anytime soon! The only way out of this would be to take the number of cases down, get everyone vaccinated and then employ strict control and trace methods with enforcement on par with Australia, New Zealand and China. This will no doubt trigger the Piers Corbyn crew of conspiracy theorists and other nutters but it's the only way forward to normality. Thankfully the vaccine roll-out is off to a strong start and the UK currently sits behind Israel in leading the way so whilst other countries in Europe deal with bureaucratic red tape, we can at least set an example in this respect. The good news is the rich continue to get richer especially the mega corporations. Cannot wait to buy my fruit and veg from Amazon and my Newspaper from Facebook in the future.1 point
