DATE: 31st December 2020 SESSION: Week 7 Day 3 CALORIES: ???? SESSION: Squats 4x6@140kg Spotto Press 3x8@60kg FEELINGS: On paper this workout looked simple enough but it completely kicked my arse! The squats were good but that’s a lot of squat volume in one week, lest we forget on Monday we did a top set of 160kgx3 and back off sets of 2x2@150kg. I have certainly worked my quads this week. Spotto press is a lovely variation of bench press and forces me to slow down and control my press. I’ve actually bought a new bench this week because my current one is so narrow I keep falling off! I forgot to video but I did get a cute picture of Maddison in the gym with me 👌

Congrats to them! To do this for a 5th year in a row, on a game that’s still in Alpha is pretty impressive. The amount of pressure that surges to the face is unreal in those 3 seconds. I’m surprised I’ve not burst any blood cells this training cycle. But we got them going. Bench feeling super good, I put my powerlifting singlet on today. In the words of Flanders - feels like I’m wearing nothing at all! Got some Sous Vide steak cooking whilst I train. Only recent single player I've played through recently that I enjoyed so much that I've done it twice is sniper elite 4 and one of the best things about it is it was free. Nice chilled game and love the bullet trajectory kills.

Good racing last night guys. It was good to see a large group racing again this week and even my missus says she hasn’t heard me laugh so much on a race night! 😄 @Greboth3rd race was hilarious but I enjoyed the close racing on that one with you even if it did get close! Definitely think the GT needs to have another look at the penalty zones on the red bull track as there was a lot of frustration flying about!

Thats a pretty sick present, definitely would put them in a display This was the first Christmas in who knows how many years that I didn't go anywhere, and that was awesome. We usually spend the days around Christmas running around visiting family so I was actually really looking forward to this Christmas. The wine was flowing early. Aside from some gift cards from family I usually only get a present from my parents. Me and the wife stopped giving each other presents a long time ago. Usually I get something house or camper related from my folks but this year I really couldn't think of anything I didn't already have so I didn't give them any ideas. They decided to get me an Oculus Quest 2 VR set which is something I'd never even thought about honestly. It's amazing how far these things have come compared to the last time I tried one of these about 5+ years ago. I haven't played any games yet but I did watch about 3 seasons of Turn on Netflix lol. Its like being in a legit movie theater with a massive screen. Also jumped out of a few airplanes with a wingsuit on flying down mountains, rode some roller coasters, Blue Angels ride alongs, etc. The Oasis cannot come soon enough! And TIL about Lynx Africa gifts being a thing lol.
