Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024

I’ve been with NTL/Virgin since day one and always on their basic package as, I think I’m right in saying, it’s the connection that matters in gaming (ping). If it takes another 15 minutes to download, I can handle that. I stream TV sometimes and never have buffering issues. My download is 100mb/sec and the broadband/phone package is £32/month at the moment Flight sims for me? If you’ve seen me driving vehicles in games you’d laugh...I can’t even qualify to free drive in GTA! 😂😂😂2 points -

Dungeons & Deadlifts: My New Online Fitness Coaching Platform
GazzaGarratt reacted to Middle Class Caveman for a topic
Hi folks, sorry I've been a bit quiet of late, this will be addressed in my PPR! I have launched, at the request of many people in my life, an online coaching platform for the general public (not athletes). In essence, its going to put a personal trainer in your pocket - me. As most of you are aware I'm a strength and conditioning coach out of my own studio gym and a deep tissue therapist at a local clinic, I generally work with athletes and sports people to improve performance but from every avenue of my life I'm often asked LOTS of questions about how to drop body fat, increase muscle, get stronger, improve general health from the general public. I'm always happy to answer these questions but the problem with free advice is it is worth exactly that, nothing. It's not accountable and is rarely specific for the individual. So here we are now. I am going to be taking on 5 new clients to begin with because I feel this will not increase my work load too the extent that the quality of my work will drop (I have to think about my existing clients too). What do you get? Custom workout plans sent straight to your phone (I will use the app I currently use with my athletes which allows me to create custom workouts with videos showing form) based on how YOU want to train. Want to do home workouts? Great. Want to use your bike/run? Awesome. Want to start at the gym? Lets do it. Want to improve on what you already know in the gym? Simples. Flexible or rigid nutrition protocols dependant on your personality. Some people like a meal plan, some people like to have flexibility so they can pick and choose what they want to eat, either way we can work together to make sure you have the protocol in place that best suites your goal. Weekly accountability check ins with me (we use the app to track your workouts and a spreadsheet to track your nutrition - I have eyes on you at all times!) 24/7 access via WhatsApp incase you need feedback on exercise or have questions that can't wait for the check in The cost of this is going to be £99 a month. This is a rather competitive price (I pay my coach £250 a month...) but there needs to be a monetary incentive for this as that is what creates the accountability. If you've paid me £25 a week you're going to make sure you hit your workouts, follow your nutrition and fill in your accountability checks, it's a as simple as that. I wish I could offer it for free but the work it creates is very time consuming. There have been many people from FG who have asked for my advice, guidance and even to write them a program - I'm under no illusion that these people will likely not want to fork out the money to actually see the results. However, if you're lurking in the wings and you know you want to make a sustained change in your lifestyle to become healthier, lighter, heavier, stronger, faster....what ever your goal is - please don't hesitate to send me a message. Much love. Elliott1 point -

Although it's quite demanding on your internet speed, the game can be played 'offline' whereby it uses captured satellite still images and then the 3D terrain is automatically rendered. It's not up to the same standard as the photo realistic live captures but it means anyone who may struggle the internet side can still enjoy the game. Some major cities are also pre-rendered for offline too and if you play online and then revert offline, live locations you've previously generated online can be cached for offline use.1 point -

Yep, for a country that likes its tech, our general internet is relatively weak. I pay around the same as you for 75mbs maximum. A lot of people don't even have half that judging by my colleagues at work when asked to provide these details a few months ago. I'm looking forward to trying this Flight Simulator out too, it looks fantastic [emoji847] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk1 point -
FG Film Club - Wk28 2020 - The Equalizer 1 & 2
GazzaGarratt reacted to Greboth for a topic
I ended up having a crazy busy weekend so watched 2 last night. A little late but shhhhh still counts - Also spoilers duh! The second film definitely isn't as enjoyable as the first and I think this is down to 2 reasons; the time it takes to get going and lack of connection to Susan. In the first film, it has to set the scene of McCalls life, relations and routine and it does this well. Yet, in the first 20 minutes, the first film still manages to the introduce the pivotal moment of Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz) ended up in the ICU as the motivational moment for McCall to after the Russian gangsters. The second film though takes twice that for Susan to be killed which is where the film really starts. I appreciate it needed to introduce Miles (Ashton Sanders) as someone for McCall to protect as well as set up the revenge story arc but it didn't need 40 mins of it. To follow on from that, Teri and Miles serve the purpose of a younger character McCall feels the need to protect. In the short 20 minute build up of the first, they establish an odd but close friendship between the two; Teri asking and McCall opening up a little about his dead wife, Teri giving McCall her demo CD for his opinion. It quickly establishes a level of intamacy and trust between them. Teri gets beaten up leading to McCall to seek revenge on the Russian gangsters but also, in killing them, protecting Teri, and by extension the other girls, from it from happening again. With the second film however, Miles tries to fulfill that role but it doesn't work as well in my opinion. They never share those intimate moments that the first film does so well and it comes across as McCall protecting Miles simply because that's what McCall does and not because of any emotional reason. Which leads on the revenge part of the plot, the friendship between McCall and Susan is better defined than with Miles which helps prop up the revenge angle. Though where this falls down is it causes the second film to lack focus - the first is protect and revenge for Teri which allows McCalls actions to be cohesive and singular in their goal - everything he does is for Teri. The second though splits this to protecting Miles and revenge for Susan. This causes part of the film to only be about Miles (saving him from the gangsters) or Susan (originally going after his old team) - it isn't until the gunfight in the storm at the end of the film do these threads really come together. Films with twists can have multiple threads that only come together right at the end of a film. When done right (Shutter Island, Coherence etc.) the twist makes the first 90% of the film make more sense. Characters actions that may have been disjointed have more impact now you know why, the twist brings an order to the chaos. Maybe the second was going for the twist of it was his old crew all along but it was so obvious and predictable it just ended up being a cliche.1 point
