    Mafia II [2010]

I've only just got round to playing this game after almost a decade and it's one of the best I have ever experienced in a long time. Not sure if anyone else has played it as it's a bit of a hidden gem at a time when COD was dominating gaming and GTA 4 was the biggest game of its kind. The story is incredibly well-written as is the character dialogue. The visuals still hold up today and the gameplay is excellent with some highly immersive combat and scenery destruction. The fictional city is beautiful and driving is decent too. Unlike GTA which is an open-ended sandbox, this is a chapter-based game with fixed missions. It's more linear and shorter but equally it keeps you glued into the story and the missions flowing rather than simply parading around a map of icons at your own pace. It is still open world and you can do where you want and how you want but it's not free roam in the typical sense. I'd definitely recommend picking it up in the Steam Sale on PC as it's tremendous fun that a lot of people may have overlooked due to a wealth of other big games at the time. Here's some screenshots I took

  3. This is a seriously impressive trailer. Makes you wanna jump straight in. The next open world for this game is called the Duviri Paradox. God, I wish this game had a manual.

  4. The new player experience is seriously an issue. DE, the developers, plan on reworking it soon as to be more appealing and not as complicated for new players. At the moment, you sort of have to play with the wiki open. Or be playing with an expert and not afraid to ask questions. -- But these trailers are gorgeous. The introduction trailer specifically. They do a great job of showing off the three starter frames and making them look.. cool. The Duviri Paradox is indeed the new open world, but the things they are doing are amazing. A huge new lore heavy cinematic quest, this open world, a new expansion with spaceship battles. To top that off, consistent new Warframes, awesome guns, and awesome events. It's F2P done right. I've never spent a dollar thanks to in-game trading, but I definitely will purely to support the developers.

  5. One of the reasons I love this game. Free to play and still they add awesome big stuff to the game. I'll admit I have spent some dough on this but have no problem with that.

  6. Beautiful. I've never been able to put my finger on the reason I haven't been into this game more. I've always enjoyed it. I've always thought it was cool. But, I could never really get that deep into it and I'm not sure why. Amazing trailer though!

He cracks me up, he was calling someone a prick during the game and the commentators didn't know how to get a handle on him. A tennis player for the modern age[emoji28] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

Shame Dan Evans went out on Saturday but that was a brilliant 5 set thriller. Konta v Kvitova today which will be an exceptionally tough match for Jo.

Aw man, I loved good old Greg 😢 miss that huge serve he had. Kyle Edmund really screwed it up didn't he. He also seems very temperamental; needs to get his head into a more disciplined state. I'm looking forward to watching the second week. Added bonus that we get to see Andy Murray with Serena Williams in the mixed doubles. I think the game would benefit from more top singles players doing both formats.

Good to know James, enjoyed reading you quick review. I didn't think the graphics would be that good to be honest, very LA Noire styled I see.

  13. Yeah, I'll definitely be giving this a shot. Just need to drop Jotuun, as unfortunately it just seems like a requirement. Great capacity and damage as a special slot.

Not just that but British Tennis as a whole for decades practically. Pretty insane considering the amount of investment that's gone into the sport and the facilities available in this country. I think one of the big factors is that it's quite a 'snobby' and elitist sport which alienates many and prices young people out of the game with the financial barriers to entry. I was coached by Tim Henman's brother Richard when I was a kid and it was about £50 for a week which was pretty reasonable during the summer holidays but if you wanted regular coaching throughout the season, it was something like £3,000. I just went back to playing casually at the local courts with a few friends now and then. Kyle Edmund also bowed out after being 2-0 up in sets and 3-0 up in games which gave me Greg Rudsedski PTSD flashbacks.

Let me just add this, it's not very classy to mock beaten opponents. You need to show good grace in victory as well as defeat. The US team let themselves down on that count. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
