Since the game has finally been released and I'm about as excited as an 8 year old for christmas eve about finally booting it up in an hour or so, I saw we were missing this thread. Feel free to post your thoughts on the game, any tips and advice wouldn't be amiss either. And hopefully those of you who have picked it up will have tons of fun playing it! (P.s. Once the online mode is released, we all need to find out who's got the fastest draw in the west! )

Excellent so far! Admittedly the prologue part of the game is a bit slow as it's essentially a tutorial showcasing a lot of the mechanics designed as basic missions but once those are out of the way, the proper Rockstar-style ones come in with the usual humour and entertainment. The train robbery one is pretty much when the game starts properly. Graphics look amazing even on a ageing PS4 standard and the level of polish is phenomenal.

Yeah manual gears are a step to far for me I have enough to concentrate on😁

Time - 2:22.060 Car - 458 Italia GT3 '13 Much better track and on my 5th lap I've got this. I know with some more time I can easily get this down, just managed to squeeze this out whilst I have the kids on a day off. Good shout Gary to go back and do my driving lessons I hadn't finished, finally dropped a Gr.3 car!

If you harvest the kelp, smelt in a furance and craft it in to dried kelp blocks it can be used for fuel. Where it gets good is coal smelts 8 items, a kelp block smelts 20. So 8 coal smelt 64 kelp for 7 kelp blocks. Those 7 blocks smelt 140 kelp to make 15 kelp blocks. 15 blocks smelts 300 kelp which makes 33 blocks. So basicaly free fuel The farm is slow at the moment as it’s only based on 30 kelp plants. More mining for resources the redstone could be compacted and I think you could probably get 90 kelp maybe more in the same size build.

You don’t want to try manual gears, Automatic gears are faster ...... honest ..... would this face lie to you? I think a low 2:18 is possible, maybe even a 2:17 on a perfrct lap but I’m someways off of that. Edit: For Lee, I’ve done a high 2:18. I think 2:18.7 but need to check to confirm.

Nice Phil. Greebs, not seeing your time anywhere? Now I've realised I didn't turn on BoP for the first race but now I have, I'll have a look where to find ABS settings aswell. Not gonna try manual gears Phil, I'd love to say maybe in the bear future but it's probably easier for me to just concentrate on getting corners right and having a full clean lap.

So far for me: Time - 2:20.150 I can still shave possibly a second off that, so game on My next plan is to master manual gear shifting as I suspect automatic costs a bit of time.

We have our priorities right eh, can't play or watch football there, but boy can you buy our crap You're spot on @J4MES OX4D the old shops were murder space-wise.

Bit of a weird one for Ipswich because they were sitting comfortably mid-table for years and when they do try and make a positive change with a promising manager and a bit of money injected; they find themselves bottom. I think the league has also got much harder this year as well and when you see teams like Aston Villa sliding along with Stoke plus the amount of big teams that have been in League One last few years, it's a tough league to stay in unless you have parachute payments on tap or have a huge budget with a squad of quality and depth. Still very early days and much can change at either end of the table.

This. I don’t have a problem with this as no team has a divine right to a certain level of football. We’ve enjoyed the good times in the past as well as enduring bad times for a variety of reasons, so let’s get over it and get on with it

I think building as a community, or atleast near each other would be nice. The spawn location is actually near a nice river, I'll probably build along there too begin with. Even if we don't build to close, I'm sure we can lay down paths to connect everything and build other community type buildings between us.

Sounds good to me, I logged on to check it works the other day. I’ll try to get on in the next few days to give it a proper go. Probably when I rage quit from the other server by being killed by a guardian for the 472nd time 😡 Also, are we planning any sort of community build / area or just going our own seperate ways.
