Confirmed First game came a long way after launch so I'm fairly happy about this. Many lessons have been learned and technology has grown since so hopefully we'll get a highly ambitious and well-directed game right off the bat this time. Hopefully a fresh and original setting too. Would also like to see the Dark Zone scrapped altogether and PvP across the whole map instead to add some real tension and a bit of realism.

I like gaming for a similar reason to why I like to read. Escapism, pure and simple. I liked to get absorbed and drawn into a world. Which is why DayZ mod (for all it's faults) has still not been equalled for its immersion. Other than that I love team play. Serious team play in serious games. Plus giggles team play for less serious games (prop hunt, gta). I am only uber competitive with sports games, just like real life. Football, tennis, golf games etc bring out that streak in me. That's a great addition. I really like how it's being shared too. I suppose my only thought is how long something like this could take. They seem to have the fundamentals all there but now to flesh out and add the actual content could take some serious time. Equally wouldn't be great if they could add some voice overs as well as the subtitles?

Yes, need the Gwerh gold and the three new pistols and melee weapons although not sure I can be bothered. Got some challanges I want to get done but getting chrome done was the big one

The game was great already but having an actual back story to the whole thing, should make it even more interesting. I think we should aim to solve the back story ourselves, without the help of the internet.

Video of my last bloodthirsty to get Chrome camo challenge done. Made an extra effort to show off my fur ball pistol grips ( baabcat... fur ball grips ...get it) before the last kill. Died loads of times on 4 just to show those grips off!

I think the main reason BF5 will be set in WW2 is not for the sake of the community but what's convenient at the time for EA and DICE so they can get a game to market as quickly and as cheaply as possible. With BF1 having a shedload of premade and new assets from the base game and premium DLC that wouldn't go amiss in a WW2 setting; they may as well reuse them in a 'new' Battlefield game. Had DICE not been producing SWBF2 and working heavily on actually developing real content that was missing from BF1 in the first place; I actually think Battlefield 5 would have been a modern game as the scope and demand for such a thing has grown. With no Visceral to take the sting out of the timescales; DICE seem to be working round the clock non-stop so they probably didn't have time to produce something original from scratch. This is the pretty much AAA industry we live in now though - it's not entirely in the interest of gamers but what's best for the publishers to make money as quickly and as simply as possible. No need to remaster BF4 either as it's still perfectly playable and fairly popular 5 years later and has everything in place such as purchasable dedicated servers and a complete map/gun list. It's not the franchises style either. As long as BF5 WW2 has enough of a disparity to make it unique rather than feel like BF1 DLC in a slightly different skin; it is perfectly fine and people will no doubt buy it in droves but Frostbite titles don't really play much differently and if the new game feels anything like a rehashed BF1 then it would feel like deja vu and just like with BF1 at the start; everyone would go back to the old game for content reasons or simply move on due to burnout.

Don’t have a problem with WW2 games. WW1 sucks as an era for games. I would rather listen to Diddums talk all fucking day that another futuristic game. Leave that to stuff like Destiny. People are going to bitch and complain no matter what era they decide to set a game in. No matter what they do people aren’t going to be happy. Take the games for what they are. A game. If you don’t like it don’t buy it or play it.

Got this game yesterday and it's bloody fantastic! I was a bit weary because of the controversial save system along with many reported bugs and I fully expect to run into issues as I progress but it's incredibly impressive and looks astonishing. Hopefully the developers will get the patch out as soon as possible as it would be a shame for such a good game to get ruined in such a tragic way. Also not a fan of the interface and a few mechanics like lockpicking but hopefully that'll be worked on too. Priority is the bugs and saving system though. Got the 15 melee kills in one match challenge done today in TDM on point du hoc. Got 19 shovel kills ( including a triple) and 8 throwing knife kills. Finished top of the winning team without firing a bullet. Video in my ppr , along with the 19 streak I got a few games before.

Think my best tdm game. Also had a merciless, fury and feed greed in that game.
