(Or some pussy ass recon is on a rooftop watching you) Avoid the LOS of all rooftops Underground, swimming, and tunnels are king for moving around. (Unless its Footlocker, in which case go outside, its nice, and lonely there) If only one path can be taken to a capture point, then its a stupid path to take. Turn off your accessories when you are flanking Open all doors when you are capturing Close all doors when you are camping The bursting radius of a hand grenade is always one foot greater than your jumping range If you are in an Aircraft, then clear the goddamned rooftops of the pussy assed recons camping up there. (If all you do is hunt recons all game, and keep the roof's clear, you will be helping your team more than any other player) If you play a pussy assed recon, then you need to drop spawn points, work the objectives and help your team by being mobile and stealthy. Your K/D means dick, stop trying to "pad" it, Play the Objective, take the death if you have to, but win the map.

Double post, That is Operation Locker, good for TDM, but a complete clusterfuck for Conquest, not played DOM or Rush on in yet.

Further to what's already been said, engineer class is by far the most fun for me, followed by recon. Here are a few tips. Apologies if some of this has been mentioned, I haven't read through everything. Engineer: Tank mines and the anti air launcher. MX4 or whatever it's called. Stick to close range, that default gun is a monster. Tank mines in choke points, and shoot anything that flies (choppers preferred). Be warned of scout choppers with repairbitches, you won't be able to get them down yourself. If a chopper has repairbitches in it and you get a hit on it, it'll be back at 100% health before you can blink. Unless you co-ordinate a proper attack with some others, forget abot them and ignore them. They're a known pain in the ass and it a constant point of contention on the BF4 forums as they're frustrating as fuck to deal with. The launchers come ina a few different flavours. The first one has a small bit of lock on, but this is more of a guide than an actual lock. Great against ground vehicles, forget about trying to hit anything that flies with them. The next two launchers are much more powerful, each has a bit of a different perk though. They both only fire at flying targets unless a recon has a lock on a tank or whatever. The first will lock on, you fire, and that's that. It has a lock on range of 300m. The second one you have to maintain lock. So lock on, fire, and stay locked on until you hit, or the missile will stray off. The advantage of this one is either 50 or 100 mtrs more range, can't remember. I prefer the fire & forget one as I prefer not to stand in the heat of battle like a tit whilst I nurse a rocket to a chopper. Vehicles have ridiculously long flare reload times now, I think it's 15 seconds or something stupid like that. Use this to your advantage. Even if you don't have ammo as an engineer, forcing vehicles to pop their flares helps your team out, as someone else can lock on and pop their rockets. I can't remember the name of the rocket launchers, I'm sure someone will add them. I never really bother with repairing as an engineer unless working with someone. Odds are you'll start repairing a tank or whatever and the driver will bugger off halfway through, or if your'e repairing your own tank, it's not uncommon to have some prat jump in it and nick it. I prefer to play in a way that makes me as effective as I can be whilst being solo. Relying on team mates in this game will make you want to claw your eyeballs out. Recon: Recon is also great fun. Make sure you spot everything that you see, and also lock on using the zoomynightvisiony thing. Even if you're on a team that is all over the place, lock on a few times and see if any rockets appear. If they do, you know you've got an engineer somewhere on the team who's willing to fire at locks so keep locking. If not, then forget about it. I personally don't bother centering my scope. I am fairly good at adjusting for bullet drop, especially at medium ranges. A bit of practice here. I find zeroing my scope a fiddly process which leaves me vulnerable to attack whilst I'm sorting it all out, and I have to keep adjusting for encounters at different distances. I just aim a bit above their head an shoot. With enough practice, you will get better at this. One line of sight I will share which is simply awesome is on Flood Zone. Odds are you've always got those idiots who sit on the roof tops and try snipe people. If you hold down D (the petrol station) then you can face the buildings from the station and hide fairly well. Nothing beats shooting those dumbasses off those buildings and watching their corpses fall 50 floors to the ground. NEVER CAMP ON ROOFTOPS / CRANES / SATELLITES / WHATEVER. Seriously. This is one thing I have never understood with these people. They're either extremely hopeful or just plain fucking stupid because every match they end up there as if to say "AMAGAD LOOK GUISE I FINDED THIS OSSUM PLACE WHERE WE CN SHOOT PPL LOL". Yeah, and the whole fucking battlefield can shoot you too, dumbass. You're not the first person to go up there, you're not discovering anything new, you're just being an idiot and your KDR usually reflects this. Personally, I get a huge kick out of shooting them. More often than not, you can set your watch to them being up there. Time and time again. The rage I've gotten from shooting the same people off the same spot over and over again is bliss. Of course recon now have C4 too. giggle giggle. This is great fun. Most tank drivers are aware of this though so you need to be extra careful when trying to blow them up. My approach is to take them out when they're pre-occupied with something else. If a tank is busy shooting at something, odds are he's in first person mode and focussed on whatever it is he's shooting at. This is when you strike. Also, NEVER shoot anything that's not silenced when near a tank as odds are they'll notice you and kill you, or at least move away so you can't C4 them. Basically, if you want to C4 a tank, you need to put on your stealth hat and only strike when he appears to be preoccupied with something else. It's risky but oh so fun. I'll leave it at that for now, will return later.

I'm thinking of buying it as well. This game has brought my enthusiasm for gaming back. This is a good thread. I've only really played TDM so a lot hasn't been relevant to me, yet. When I need ammo, I press R1 and move to the Need Ammo request, does it just flash the ammo thing about my head and make a call out?

Like being the bucket at an orgy, this is all a lot to take in. I'm downloading the balttelog to see if that can help me in any way. Playing the game isn't an issue, i feel i've got to grips with it pretty quickly. It's just the setting up of classes and the other behind the scenes stuff. Ok i've had a look through this battlelog thing and i'm starting to understand it more but how do you earn battlepacks and what are in battlepacks? Also check me out with my 2k/d! Really enjoying this game, can't wait to get home and play!!

This is your worst idea yet, i'd say find something that no one has a world record for a do that, or beat something else. I'd honestly not even risk doing this dude!

Can't wait to get a PS4 and squad up with you guys that have it. Conquest is the KIng of gamemodes for me, but you can get a serious hammering from an organised team. One full squad working together using all classes can rule a 12 v 12 match on the PS3, bu this may not be the case on the PS4. I've played a lot of TDM and a fair bit of DOM to level weapons up, but need to give Obliteration more a go, what put me off was a timer being added to the matches, not sure if this is still the case, and I need to play more Rush as this game mode can be awesome if the battles are tight and don't end up in spawn trap killfest. Most have already stated the obvious one's and tbh Gary, everything I told you for BF3 runs true for this game. Yes, it's a tough leaning curve, yes it can be seriously frustrating as a beginner (not going to call you a noob because I know you're pretty handy in CoD). My favourite vehicles though have to be the armoured jeeps, with a decent driver and gunner those things can totally wreck a team. Level guns up as quickly as possible to get the best set up's for you! Don't bother too much with LMG's for Support class they seem way weaker than in BF3 and the suppression system has changed to them even more. Carbines or shotties seem to be the way to go with this class now for me as I've pretty much given up with the LMG's. AR's are still the best primaries imo, I particularly love the SAR21, slower fire rate, but offers more control (this is Hardcore though) higher fire rate weapons seem to give you more advantage in Normal mode. I've yet to start using the DMR's or Shotties so can't comment on those, but the Carbines are good and once unlocked via the Engie class can be used for all classes. Bolt action rifles are god like in HC, one hit kill anywhere on the body as long as you're not too far away or else you'll need a headshot. Ryan swears by the Shorty 12G as a secondary, but I've yet to use it as I'm trying to master the default pistol before moving on. Impact nades are brilliant Nade launchers are great when running assault class, but means you have to give either defibs or med packs. C4/Claymore's for both Support and Recon was a good move imo. I hope you learn to like this game as it can be very rewarding!

They ruin everything. I don't blame developers. They really try to listen to the community as a whole. The problem is the dick weeds that play the game. Don't get me wrong Battlefield has issues with players too but they don't get rewarded for plating like faggots. They are at the bottom of the leader boards. I've been saying it for a few years but now I mean it. I'm done with CoD unless they make some serious changes. Battlefield is such a great change of pace. I will play CoD when others want to play but as solo it won't happen anymore.

Blitz is being ruined by spawn camping at the moment. Good game mode in theory, works surprisingly well in competitive. COD community ruin something else.

My father in law bought this thing for my son, its about 6ft tall, and HUGE as shit. I literally just put it together yesterday. This was our first time using it, and that was the first object we were able to see. I wish the pic had come out better, I will try a different lens tonight, if the clouds are willing to help me. We are also trying for Andromeda as it should be visible right now to us. The whole ting is surreal to me though. Jupiter is roughly 5 AU away from us right now, and we could actually see the largest cloud bands on the surface of it. Granted because of the distance it was Black and White, but you could see them plain as day. Venus will appear blue to us, so I can't wait for that. but I dont really have a favorite right now, just way to new for this.

I would NOT advise this purely for the huge health risks that many gamers are oblivious to. Around 25,000 people in the UK die annually of Deep Vein Thrombosis and more and more of those are actually young people who have died as a result of inactivity caused by long gaming sessions. Some of these incidents have occurred from just a long weekend of gaming time. If I was attempting a world record gaming session; my first port of call would not be some Guinness rep but insuring a full medical team is in place. This may seem like a harmless marathon of a hobby but I'd be extremely vigilant of the risks unlike some of the people who have attempted this already. Good luck but don't rush into rash decisions.

I'll chip in a few,to unlock shotguns you must use the support class until they unlock. Same goes for DMR rifles,you unlock them by using recon. Carbines are unlocked by using engineer class. Use Battlelog on the PC/phone/tablet to track unlocks easier for assignments and battle packs When you unlock XP bonuses in battle packs you must activate them in the options menu. Attachments make a huge difference on guns. Stability vs accuracy. I prefer stability. Throw down medic and ammo packs often. It's easy and free XP Use the spot feature. Right bumper on PS4. Helps your team and gives you easy XP.
