  1. In my hunt for a bargain, I accidentally bought PlayStation Now and not PlayStation Plus. CD keys are usually pretty good. have you redeemed your key?

  2. Unfortunately we get that Vermont non sense and the the beer is like making love in a Canoe (fucking close to water), so it's not so Canadian. We are good thanks. My son has all of his CPA testing done and just needs the hours now. He's at a big 4 accounting firm. My daughter is finishing her last term to graduate as a BioChemist (might be a real good time to have that degree). My wife is retired. Adapting to living in Cali as opposed to Canada I changes roles at Intel. I am now a lead Architect on the coms stuff rather than a people manager. Looking forward to this Covid/Election craziness to be over. How about you? All good. I see you hang out with little dogs at work

  3. Gabe picked up one of the new Xbox series X's this week out of his own money and hes really happy with it. However, he really wants to play Overwatch on it and the xbox store has it listed at £50 still. So I'm not paying that. However, I've found the game on CDkeys for £20 but it's an Xbox One code. So a couple of questions...... 1) Is CDkeys reliable? 2) Will a specific Xbox One download code work for a new generation Xbox? Thank you hive mind in advance!!

  4. Well having not unlocked it yet my initial thoughts are bungie had a meeting Dev1 : how can we make crucible more aids Dev2 : I have this idea for a subclass that freezes you to the spot so it's easier for invisible hunters to shotgun you before you can break free. Dec 1 : yep that will do, I'm sold 🤦

    Cold War Pre-load

Shipment is and always has been shite. Getting spawn killed or spawn killing is both not fun and dumb. What's also dumb are people that ask to play shipment then moan " oh not nuketown again" 🙄

    Your first PS5 game

To be honest, I've been quite underwhelmed at the amount of proper PS5 titles available at launch. Most things are remasters rather than true next gen games. Thata With that said Demon's Souls does look amazing

  8. I'm with Rich on this @Stretch616 , cdkeys are really relaible for me too in the past. Its usually the place where @crispymorgan finds a bargain when we are trying to find one! I also would've expected that it works for the new Xbox as pretty much all games are compatble with the new xbox console and the UI and xbox code/shop thingy should in theory be the same. Btw, before you go buying lots of games you might want to consider the Xbox Game Pass. I think its the one big thing that rivals PlayStation as its access to pretty much most games for a regular monthly fee. It includes the Xbox Live subscription and if you have that already I think you can just upgrade it for a £1 I believe still to try it out. Even Destiny 2 with all its expansions are available on it. Maybe someone that has it or knows more can let you know if the games ever get removed?

  9. Hi, Microsoft has stated that Xbox Series X and Series S will support all games playable on Xbox One (excluding those that require the Kinect sensor), including Xbox 360 and original Xbox console games currently supported through backward compatibility on the Xbox One, thus allowing the console to support four generations of games. However i request you to check the description carefully on our product page about the compatibility with series X as we have mentioned already if they are compatible or not. But we highly recommend you to confirm this with Microsoft support directly to assist you further on this. Thank you for contacting CDKeys.

    Cold War Pre-load

Haha, I do love Shipment. There is no spawn logic. It's easily the best map on MW. It's fun and easy to level guns. If the original maps were better on MW I would play them more often. Or at least not whinge about them as much.

    Namalsk

Back in the old DayZ mod there were a number of modded maps. I understood my two favourite maps were being worked on for the new DayZ, Origins (Taviana) and Namalsk, a winter map with touches of STALKER... ...and it looks like Namalsk is dropping first🤗 Its actually been modded by one of the DayZ devs in his spare time and comes out 3 December.

  12. How odd! So the code didnt work at all on his Xbox. But I went into his Xbox account on the laptop and redeemed the code and all of a sudden it was available for him to download in the store. Really weird but at least he's happy now!

  13. Haven't got the expansion yet but I've done the introductory mission and had a mooch around the land. Seems decent from what I've seen although I'm rusty as hell! Enemies seem to be more challenging and the world looks great. Not sure if it's varied or grand enough in relation to the content that has been removed but it's too early for me to judge after my brief experience with it. Very tough decision I'll have to make in the next couple of days because it's a toss up between this, Cold War and Valhalla. I'll definitely have a deeper look tomorrow though. Game looks stunning right off the bat Anyone else been on yet? Took a good 3 hours to get into the game because of the server issues and then queue!

    Cold War Pre-load

I find it a lot easier to level up with shipment that nuketown and kind of like the chaos and nonsense. Nuketown is bigger and better structured for a real game. I maxed out the Grau and AMAX using shipment in one day. I don't think I would have gotten to 3 gunbutt kills in 10 matches if I hadn't used shipment. Same with the FINN although that was a lot easier since it required only 1 melee kill. People did the same for dragon breath ammo. You can't do that as easily with Nuketown

    Outdoor cooking

You definitely have drink-outs here as well. It's usually with burgers and hot dogs on a grill. I'm not sure what you mean by flavouring the wood. Different wood already gives a different flavor. I'm using mostly apple wood, but experimenting with mesquite as well. Cherry and pecan are very popular as well. Lowe's has an 18" Basso Bullet smoker on sale right now for under $100. Research bullet smokers to see if it's right for you, but basically it's a smaller smoker that can also be used as a grill or steamer and is in a very small form footprint. I am using an offset firebox smoker, which is much larger: Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM It's a decent one, but you'll want to do a little bit of modification to really improve it. I added a high temperature gasket around both doors and sealed up some smoke leaks with high temp silicon. That helps regulate the temperature better since you can control air flow more. It's a pretty easy smoker to keep in the 215-225 range. You'll also want a remote thermometer, as the one in the door only shows the temp in that area, which is much cooler then the bottom racks. The racks are removeable and you can install them at multiple heights. What you can't do with this is sear, since it's indirect heat only. Since you have a grill, you can reverse sear where you smoke to almost done then transfer to the grill just long enough to sear the outside. My next purchase will be a pellet grill, which is sort of an automated version. You set the temperature you want and an auger feeds wooden pellets in at the correct rate to maintain that temperature. That will allow me to do long slow cooks like brisket over night or on work days. Traeger is probably the most common, but I hear good things about the similarly priced Green Mountain Grills.

So this fell off my radar for a bit but it's back on it now, George (work mate) and i were looking to pick it up at some point shortly. I was wondering if anyone else is interested in it?

  21. Another sad release. Apparently the campaign is still pretty darn amazing, its more the replayability factor of the live service game after that which isn't in a good space at all. If it wasn't still full price then I would've looked at it for me and/or my son but there's no way its worth £50 after what we've heard whats happened to it. Are there plans to support and improve the live service experience at all?

    Only 8 Maps at Launch!?

I hate to admit it, but James is pretty spot on. Now I have a lot of respect for J. You always have valid and logical explanations to your concerns. But as you touched on, 8 maps for a premium triple A rated publisher/developer online multiplayer FPS is a disgrace. That's the problem, it's not MP anymore, it's everything else. BR/Warzone etc. Zombies and campaign sure they have been about for years and that's fine. But the main gripe here is they can't psychically produce all of it year in year out. It will never happen, but if it was up to me BR/Warzone should be a separate entity. A different disc, a separate price. Make the base game 10-20 quid cheaper and charge like 20-30 for a separate Warzone game. That way shitty warzone ain't filling my storage with it's obscene pointless Gigabytes. It took MW how long for Warzone? Can't remember, but ever since it's existence the game in general lags more. Ribbon challenges have more warzone challenges in it each season and more attention thrown on to it. I would happy pay 50-60 quid for a "True" multiplayer experience with plenty maps and good support/content. The game lasts a year, it's not overpriced if it's fucking fantastic. Like those old BO 1/2 and MW2 days. The microtransactions in BO4 were disgusting. But they left MP fizzle as they built BR up more. I truly think the Warzone/BR aspect has ruined the MP experience for us old vets. Don't get me wrong if you enjoy warzone/br etc that's fair enough, I'm not going to play it because it's there or it's cool or all the updates and features are there. Fuck that! All it is to me is a giant FFA, and FFA is the most boring game mode to me. I remember playing a game of sabotage on wasteland on MW2 that lasted about 20-30 mins into triple overtime. Was ridiculous but fun thinking back. I played demo on firing range and have been on both ends of spawn trapping. Activision are promoting and promising too much, but providing very little if you scroutinise a recent cod in detail. It's a shit show at launch. Lack of maps, remakes. The same old guns usually. Terrible lag etc. I swear there is an AK and an MP5 in the last 8 cod's or something. Kinda going off on a tangent here as I ramble. Oh yeah I preordered and I love Moscow the map on CW 😂

    Outdoor cooking

Do it all the time in California due to the nice weather I measure cooking time based on number of Beers. I have 1, 2 and 3 beer meals. I own a gas grill (on our Balcony), the Condo association has Charcoal/smokers in common areas. I quite like it. My wife seems to like it because I end up doing the cooking. I do meat, fish, veggies, bread on the grill. Everything is done from scratch Cedar plank Salmon with a Maple glaze is one of our favorites.

  30. I’ll be getting Grounded on steam on the PC 😁 In all seriousness, I can’t see myself getting one for a long while. I currently have limited time on my hands and the idea of spending a few hundred pounds on something that’ll just sit there, makes me feel like I won’t get one.

Absolutely gutted. If the original was already out, then why they didn't do a proper remaster is beyond me. I know people that enjoy a good single player RPG would've loved this game too. Better to get the PC original version at 2 squids atm.

It's a mod and it's free. It's an epic map with mountains and underground bases, plus the original version had EMP storms and aliens which I'm hoping are in the new version too, along with the Gauss gun.

  37. Square Enix reports $48M loss following release of underperforming Marvel's Avengers | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Square Enix has declined to report sales numbers. Pretty funny really. This is now being touted as an equivalent to Anthem in terms of its success, business model and quality. To make a loss like that on a game that is supposed to milk people is quite embarrassing. Even a shitshow EA or Ubisoft game can still rake in an eight-figure profit.
