J4MES OX4D 10,054
Shocking result from Spurs and another hugely missed opportunity to close in on the teams above and apply pressure. This on top of a bad defeat in Europe during the week too. Rest your players to lose to a team near the bottom and lose is not very good at all. Full credit to Ipswich though - last time they won in the Premier League I think The Office was on TV in its first series🤣 IRaMPaGe 1 Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/52-football-played-with-feet/page/169/#findComment-160077 Share on other sites
IRaMPaGe 3,257
Tottenham are very hot and cold, I mean when they are on it they are great to watch. But too many games they could/should be winning. Not taking any credit away from the opposing teams. Look at city at the moment, they are on a shocking run of results. Man u managed a 3-0 win today, which is another surprise. GazzaGarratt 11,066
Felt perplexed a minute ago. Saw someone interview Kane about whether 2026 will be his last tournament. Rightly, he said he doesn't believe it will be. Now I get it in one sense, as we all think when you get over 30 its time for some youth to come onboard and take the helm....but to just put into persoective, he has been the first English player to the Gerd Muller trophy and the European Golden Boot trophy. We are always quick to say we need a change when we don't get what we want - however Kane is on 69 goals for England and we'd be stupid not to back him to reach 80 and beyond in future competitive games. J4MES OX4D 10,054
Crazy to think that Harry Kane has competed in the Premiser League, German Bundesleige, German Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, World Cup, European Cup, Champions League and Europa League yet his first career success is getting England promoted in the Nations League - not that even counts🤣 I think he has possibly two more tournaments in him at international level. Most games we've lost we've actually dominated but just not had our shooting boots on. Arsenal had to park the bus for example. We leak too many goals and allow too many chances/shots. J4MES OX4D 10,054
Spurs throw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-4 to Chelsea. Really isn't looking good for Ange especially bringing back defenders too soon and then still conceding four. Chelsea look a strong outfit this year but you can't be bottling such a commanding lead in such tragic fashion especially off the back of two poor recent defeats. phil bottle and IRaMPaGe 2 Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/52-football-played-with-feet/page/169/#findComment-160265 Share on other sites

IRaMPaGe 3,257
I do feel for Spurs and Ange. At times they play great attacking football and score goals. But leaking goals, giving away leads and losing to lower opposition far too often. And the most unluckiest injuries, I mean losing the main goalie and vital key defenders. Richarlison doesn't count, but he is injured more often than fit. Not exactly missing much when he is available either. Things don't look good for Ange, but I mean who ELSE are they able to get? Spurs need to win a cup, even if it's FA or carabao. Then start again next season for top 4. Spurs don't have the budget of city, Chelsea, Utd, Liverpool etc. The season is a bit of a right off, but a trophy of any sort would lift spirits and keep the wolves at bay so to speak. I agree, I don’t want to see Ange leave. I just think we’ve been unfortunate with injuries. Every other team uses the excuse when they’re missing one player. J4MES OX4D 10,054
Ange's game management is a bit questionable at this level which was evident mostly against Brighton and Chelsea. You can get away with it in the SPL against the likes of St Mirren and Dundee but not here. Spurs need a change at the top though as Daniel Levy for all his work cannot take the club further. Something like 14 managers in 23 years including many proven ones and only one trophy to show from it and that was from one of the worst. A big injection of money is needed and for all Spurs's impressive results here and there notably against Villa, United and City, the inconsistency is unacceptable and totally negates any big results. Only way to bounce back would be to win the League Cup and then try and go for the Europa League. phil bottle 9,812
It's such a weird season but so massively entertaining so far. I almost think Pep has been paid off to let another team win the league this year 🤣 Who will win? Impossible to know at this stage. There was a possibility for Liverpool to forge ahead but they didn't take advantage and now Chelscum have spent their way into being a challenger again. Its looking though like a top 3 of LFC, CFC and AFC with half a dozen teams fighting for 4th. But everyone is beating everyone so can all change still. I wonder how the Liverpool v Spurs game will go...anything is possible 🤪 Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/52-football-played-with-feet/page/169/#findComment-160336 Share on other sites
