Let's be honest, this is going to be great, the question is how great? Does it live up to the Witcher 3 which is to be fair still my number 1 game. I put a lot of hours into that and intend to go back in the new year!

 

Ciri as the protagonist is not surprising, what is though is that she is using witcher spells and drinking witcher potions, the lore has always said that a witcher can only ever be male so they are going to have to go into that a little bit. I imagine it will be down to her blood I suppose.

 

New voice actress? And it looks great but you always have to take cinematic trailers with a pinch of salt as so often we have been burnt by them in the past.

The Witcher 3 remains my favourite game of all time but I doubt they'll be able to topple that. About 75% of the people that worked on that game plus the expansions have left the studio and they've also ditched the RED Engine in favour of Unreal 5 which is also massively disappointing. Glad they are doing a Ciri game especially after her part in 3 was a nice change of pace but Geralt is going to be making an appearance too which is good.

All of the Gamerbro's are having a meltdown because Siri is the main character. The game is "woke" (I absolutely hate that term) now 🤣 They clearly know fuck all about the series.

It has become pretty tiring, if the game isn't a halo/cod manly men circlejerk then it's woke and DEI, how are we regressing that much as a society? This Ciri is older and has gone through hell to become a Witcher, of course she won't look like a perky teenager like in Witcher 3, that doesn't make her ugly as some call her and with the way the Witcher 3 ended it makes sense for Geralt to live out the rest of his life in peace while Ciri becomes what she always wanted to be

Great trailer, and rightly deserves some praise. Hopefully they'll deliver. I'm sure they will as they won't deviate too far away from a game that is wildly received as one of the best of all time. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
