  1. @Rumelyladystarted playing the other day. She's been enjoying it, but it hasn't been really sucking her in. We'll see if she sticks with it. I'm gonna start soon, honest, I swear!!!
  2. Yeah, it didn't hold my interest for long. I suppose that also has much to do with BG3, Sea of Stars, and Starfield. It felt very basic. Maybe I'll get back to it at some point, but if not, oh well.
  3. I'm gonna get to this eventually. Once I'm finished with Sea of Stars, I'll dive in. I've heard a lot of mixed things about it, but reviews seem to be ok.
  4. At long friggin last!!! I have been waiting for Sea of Stars since it’s announcement, and now that I’ve got it in front of me, hot damn, this is far better then I expected!! This game is a masterpiece!! The graphics, sound, music, and gameplay are spot on! It reminds me of Chrono Trigger and super Mario rpg from the SNES days. Timing a button press when your attack hits gives a boost to damage. Same goes for defending when an enemy attack’s about to hit. A lot of the special moves have contextual button presses to either keep them going or power them up. I won’t spoil the story, but this is a prequel to Sabotage Studios other game, The Messenger. Easily my game of the year so far. If you’re a fan of classic Jrpgs, check this one out.
  5. This little beauty dropped last week, and if you're a wrestling fan, you really need to check it out! There are many wrestler cameos from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. The gameplay is a classic RPG style closer to that of super Mario RPG from the SNES. As you attack, you can time button presses to do more damage or negate it on the defensive side. It's been great so far, holding me over until Sea of Stars drops. Only $30 too. It's on everything.
  6. I've been slow-rolling the hell out of this one, mostly due to other games coming out and/or life stuff. I'm just before the final encounter, and I'm polishing up on some side quests before I finish the story.
  7. I noticed this one was in early access with the purchase of the base bundle. It looks like an action/hack-and-slash RPG with a WoW or Darksiders look to it. It's received a lot of negative reviews due to some server issues and all that fun usually associated with MMOs. I may end up checking it out. @Rumelylady even wants to give it a go.
  8. I whistle these tunes at work most days. You could use these tunes as the soundtrack for my life. Lol
  9. Yup, I agree with everything @Luseth said. I'm also really enjoying the game. The story has some really dark, Game of Thrones-ish story that's clearly aimed at a mature audience. The big, epic boss battles are really cool to roll through. My only gripe is just how linear the whole thing is. I never really feel like I can go out and explore the world outside of a story or side mission. You'll be disappointed if you're expecting a typical Final Fantasy experience.
  10. ONE YEAR!!!!!!!! Episode 52 is LIVE!! We talk about Baldurs Gate 3, FF 16 and do the Hot Ones Challenge for our 1 year.
  11. Episode 51 is LIVE!! I've been sick as a dog this week, so Sarah and Adrian are doing all the work this week.
  12. Each system has its own thing in this gen. So far at least. Xbox with game pass is too good of a value for any gamer. In Canada, they also have a deal with a payment plan that let's you grab a series x, 2 years of ultimate game pass, and it's $45 CDN a month for 2 years. That instantly saves people from burning a massive hole in their wallets so yay! PS5 has had some huge, first-party epics that have been memorable but I haven't gone back to replay any of them save for starting a new game plus on Ghost of Tsushima. Nintendo has their first-party stuff that almost always ranks well. PC has been fairly consistent with a lot of options for new experiences, and the old reliable ones. The steam deck makes it a great portable option now. I've honestly been all over the place with gaming as of late. I just kind of go where the next one takes me. Currently, PS5 and FF 16, but come next week, that could change.
  13. I also finished the demo this morning and pre-ordered. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I really enjoyed the free movement combat. The DMC similarities are apparent, but it also reminded me of the FF7 remake combat a tad too. Im looking forward to diving into this one Thursday.
  14. I don't think I'll be playing this. I wasn't impressed with cyberpunk at all. Other games just did the formula better. Also, did anyone else think Keanu sounded a bit rough with the reveal trailer?
  15. Damn... some of these shares bring back all the memories of playing them. I can picture exactly where I was while playing them for the first time.
  16. 3 episode update with the big 5-0 hitting this week!! Life has been busy as hell, my apologies. I'll try to be more quick with updates.
  17. Yea, this.
  18. Putting it on my “To play” list. Excellent review @Luseth
  19. There is. @Zaxzarset one up. Forever Gaming
  20. Ok, early access dropped for this on June 1st, so many of us have been playing the shit out of it. curious to hear what everyone's thoughts are. Me? It looks great. I prefer this visual style to the more toon-ish look D3 had. It plays awfully similar too, so that's a plus. However, the constant enemy scaling to your current level always makes it feel like you're underpowered. Simply walking from one destination to another often feels like a slog due to the constant encounters you run into. I'm currently playing on tier 2, and there were a few times my A7F backup singing Necromancer nearly met his end to a group of shambling corpses or some bottom-end skeletons. I've seen similar complaints across multiple sites so I'm glad I'm not alone. Also, and maybe this has something to do with it, but after hitting Level 35, the difficulty seemed to spike. I'm not sure if it was just me, but most of the time spent running around felt more like endgame stuff rather then the main quest/story. I also think they buffed the enemies based on data from the previous betas as the game does seem a tad more difficult. The class nerfs probably helped that as well. My little skeletal army gets wasted pretty quickly now as opposed to the first closed beta. I'm almost positive there will be a "day 1" patch coming on Tuesday addressing some player issues and complaints. Diablo 3 was pretty awful when it first dropped and didn't really hit its stride until Reaper of Souls. Let's hear it FG. What are your thoughts?
  21. I can't even say I was drunk when I created it. I was just fucking stupid. Lol!
  22. This was one announced at the PlayStation Showcase. Hot damn, am I looking forward to this one. Looks like something any souls-like fan would dig. Hopefully, we'll get some more info about it in the coming months.
  23. I picked this one up only due to someone in a review saying, "If you liked Mega Man X, you'll like this." And yea, I do. It's a beautiful game graphically and the gameplay is pretty tight too. It's a side-scrolling hack-and-slash action-adventure along the lines of the Mega Man X series or any Metroidvania for that matter. I never touched League of Legends, so a lot of the character references I don't get, but this one has been fun. There are some annoying little things like the time delay clone that follows you sometimes messes me up when platforming, but at least you can rewind time when you make a mistake here and there. Not a bad one and kind of on the cheap side. Worth checking out IMO. It's on PS5/Xbox/Steam and Switch.
  24. For the whole game, my favorite has to be Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. The score in that one was just perfect for the game and really complimented the perfection that is SoTN. A close second would be The Messenger. Its catchy, mesh of 8-bit and 16-bit music really sticks in your head after a while, much like the classic NES games of old did. Honorable mention goes to the Octopath Traveler series too. Only because I'm currently playing the second one LOL!
  25. I'm interested, but I agree with you @Luseth It's one of those games that has a big "WAIT AND SEE" sign right outside the construction zone. Looking pretty can only get a game so far if the gameplay sucks ass or doesn't hold your interest.
