  1. Agree with you on the combat. It didn't feel great at all, but serviceable to what you had to do. I'm looking forward to the next entry. I also wouldn't mind seeing a Control sequel.
  2. Episode 85 is LIVE!! We talked about the rumored first party xbox games going multiplatform, as well as Diablo going to GP. Bonus Wednesday episode, we all about the Disney/Epic games collab.
  3. hi-fi Rush alone is a must-play. That was one of my top three games from 2023. It's a great game with, an awesome soundtrack, and wicked gameplay. Grounded had a unique premise, ad try as I might, I just can't get into the whole survival genre. Give it a few, and they'll retract on not putting Starfiled multi-platform.
  4. I'm digging it. Action is intense, with lots of baddies to deal with. I like the system involving drops from your ship. You hold a button and input commands to have special weapons, resupply creates, reinforcement, etc to drop. Good fun so far.
  5. Episode 84 is LIVE! We talk about Helldivers 2, The Skull & Bones demo, and game pricing vs value. Check it out!!
  6. Out now on PS5 and Steam. I bought it and gave it a quick go on launch day. Did Anyone else pick this up? It looks like it could be a fun one with some FGers.
  7. Episode 83 is LIVE!! We talk about a recent survey of development studios revealing they are mostly working on live service games. We also touch on the new suicide squad game among other things.
  8. Rollerdrome is actually pretty fun. I’ll give foamstars a go.
  9. *Stream dies* F 🤪
  10. Yeah, I saw that. They're really trying to prevent Metacritic and reviews before release. I can only imagine why that would be. Lol
  11. I finished this one up the other day. It was a decent run, but I encountered a side quest bug that prevented me from getting all the achievements. They claim it's been patched, but that's only for people who start a new game post-patch. Wtf? We can't just fix the fucking issue period? Oh well. I likely won't be playing through this one again. As with the typical Ubisoft games, they have way too much bloat with collectibles, lore items, and such. Plus, with the aforementioned side quest bug, I was turned off from playing the game period. I'm a completionist for Metroidvanias, and when I couldn't finish the quest, I wanted to just shut it down, delete it, and start something else. It also didn't help that the story didn't hook me in, or was interesting enough to keep me invested. If the combat had been dogshit, this would've been an easy "Don't recommend." A lot of what I said in my previous post stands too, so I'll recommend you fine folks wait either for a sale, or when this game inevitably drops on either ubisoft+, game pass, or becomes a PS plus extra game. There's no real replay value IMO, and with the story being "meh", puts this in a bargain bin.
  12. Episode 82 is live! We talk about Valve's 2023 earnings on CS2 loot cases and the Palworld/Pokemon company potential suit among other things. Plus, our bonus Wednesday "What we're playing" episode.
  13. Welcome to FG @Andy_White_07 🤘🏻
  14. My biggest issue with this game is NOT having the ability to control movement ON THE FUCKING D-PAD!!! It has been one of the more annoying parts of this so far. There have been times when some precision platforming is required but ends up failing due to the snap back of the analog stick. Maybe I'm old school, but a 2D game like this should have the option of d-pad movement. You can't even change it, as the up and down positions on the d-pad are used for potion and a stupid marker option that I never use. There are also some latency issues on the Xbox Series X that make the timing of evading and parrying a pain in the ass. Thankfully, using a headset fixes that, and it appears the issue is non-existent on PS5 and Switch. Also, just a word of warning. There's a dash move you get that's mapped to the RT/R2/R button. For some stupid reason, it makes you dash backward from whatever direction you're facing. WTF? Other than that, It's been decent between the frustrations mentioned.
  15. Couple more new ones this week. Episode 81 and our episode from last Wednesday are both LIVE. In 81, we talked about the Ubisoft execs' recent comments about consumers "getting comfortable not owning games" and the bonus episode started on why I prefer the @d Mario games over 3D ones, which evolved into a talk about platformers.
  16. YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I'm curious about this one. I was never a fan of the Pokemon series, but I've watched some streamers play this, and Sarah has shown an interest in it. Maybe I'll give it a go. Maybe? Hmm....
  18. Everyone give @GazzaGarrattsome of that good ole FG Birthday love!! 😁🤘🏻
  19. After seeing some decent reviews for this, and giving the demo a go, I pre-ordered it and can't friggin wait to dive into it.
  20. Triple post this week. We've decided to do shorter episodes, and release a Wednesday show, so here's a bunch of new ones LIVE!!
  21. I do hope they ditch the "tank" controls, and have a more modern movement style. Much like how Metroid Prime remastered added the dual stick controls, I feel this series of games would benefit from it.
  22. Well before the clock strikes 12. Nevertheless, I wish you all a safe and happy New Year, FG! Here's to tons of fun, games, laughs, and love in 2024! 🤘🏻
  23. Episode 78 is LIVE!! What; 's in store for 2024, and some last-minute discussion on GoTY selections.
  24. 1: The Boondock Saints 2: Batman (1989) 3: The Mummy
