  1. It looks like this one will be getting a QoL update in the near future.
  2. At the recent Nintendo Direct, they announced that the Game Boy online service for normal Nintendo online subs, as well as the GBA online for plus subs would be available right away. The initial games available for each are.. Game Boy Online Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare Game & Watch Gallery 3 Gargoyle's Quest Kirby's Dream Land The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX Metroid II: The Return of Samus Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Tetris Wario Land 3 Game Boy Advance Online Kuru Kuru Kururin The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Mario Kart: Super Circuit Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (including the e-Reader content) WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames I expect more games to follow. Shame they're locking the GBA behind the plus crap.
  3. There's a demo available for this right now on the switch. I'm so looking forward to this one when it releases in August.
  4. This actually surprised me. The fact it's released the same day and ISN'T $79!!!!!!!!!
  5. Episode 32 is LIVE!!!! We talk about Hogwarts Legacy, the announcemets at the latest Nintendo Direct, and we share some kickstarters we're backing.
  6. At this point, I feel this has become the new Duke Nukem forever of this generation.
  7. Sarah and I have been watching one of the streamers we sub to play it. I’ve never seen or read any of the HP stuff EVER, so I’ve no idea about most of it. As a game, it looks interesting and I may pick it up eventually. We’ll probably discuss it on the podcast this week. Adrian bought it and has been playing all day.
  8. Episode 31 is LIVE!!! Can E3 exist without the big 3, or will it change up to either be an indie showcase or go back to its roots. Plus, Sony makes some interesting moves.
  9. Sony has sent out emails to PS Plus users and have informed them that they will be bringing an end to the PS Plus collection May 9th. If you haven't claimed any of the games, I suggest you do so now, and they'll be a part of your game library as long as you have a PS Plus account. Fucking Sony. I'm honestly surprised they didn't do this when they implemented the PS+ tiers.
  10. Olli Olli world is the only one I'm interested in tbh.
  11. Respawn announced they’ll be seating this one until April. I’m glad to see them taking the extra time to make this one more polished and not hopefully tire out the people working on it in the process.
  12. I seen that @J4MES OX4Dlaughed my ass off too.
  13. I downloaded and gave this one a go thanks to game pass affiliation with EA Play, and I gotta say, I'm digging it. The story mode follows an up and coming racing team trying to make it to the championship final called "The Gauntlet." You play as the unnamed driver 22 and have tasks to fulfill throughout, culminating in a championship victory. I enjoyed the tracks, some based on real life circuits, as well as the various types of vehicles used throughout. The electric series are hell fast in this one. I thought it was neat that. the career mode connects to the stories ending as well. Your driver and an engineer leave the team to create a new one and start from the beginning. Which you do during the career mode. You can give the team a name, logo, banner, and livery based on a ton of customizable options and have at it. The driving felt a lot more arcadey compared to previous entries in the series, but I didn't mind. I've always preferred that style, but every so often, I'll feel the sim stuff creep up here and there. You can tweak the mechanics of your cars at any given time though. There's been a bunch of DLC released, with the latest one dropping just this past week called Winter Bash. There's also some added story modes as well that either continue some stories or show how certain teams got to where they were before the story mode. Pretty cool game. I can't wait to get into some more racing fun.
  14. This has been quite the fun game. It's so rare to see a triple A studio make/release a game lately that isn't a open world, MMO, microtransaction riddled slog. You're introduced to some new mechanics as you progress. Specifically when needed to break enemy shields, enemy armor, or stage traversal mechanics. Switching between each is done by pressing the LT and using the with R2. It can get a bit hectic during some enemy encounters, and one specific area for traversal, where you have to switch between them while on a timer during some platform jumping. Jumping is a bit weird. There's some moments when you'd think a normal single jump would easily clear a section, only to have you fall to your death. Yet, other times where it works fine. It got to a point where I just said "fuck it" and used the double jump for everything, and included the air-dash for good measure Boss encounters have that "wonderful" sectioned life bar that causes the boss to change up a bit each time. The only instant where that doesn't happen, is around the mid-part of the game, where you're tasked with only defending a certain boss. I actually found that encounter to be one of the better ones in the game so far. As I mentioned before, combat is all about keeping to the beat of the level. You gain a damage buff when you're perfectly in sync, and all enemies and bosses adhere to this as well. I've got one more stage to go, but I'll be doing another run through to get some missed collectibles and upgrades. Definitely worth checking out for all you game pass subscribers. As far as I know, It's only on the series X/S.
  15. Episode 30 is LIVE!!! This is hopefully the last time we discuss the OGL stuff but it looks like Wizards of the Coast may have fucked up with this one. We also talk about what we've been playing this week including my digital racing dreams.
  16. Yea, I'm with @phil bottleon this one. I'm filing this under "Been there, done that." Let me know when that sale hits phil.
  17. Right?! I suppose that's the price we must pay to have "hollywood talent" work/star in a game.
  18. So this one was announced and released during the xbox developers event yesterday. Made by the studio responsible for The Evil Within series, It's also a Day one Game Pass release too, so I downloaded it and gave it a go this evening. It's a very bright and colorful graphical style, but the gameplay is a mash-up between a DMC type action, and a rhythm based game. The whole world runs to a beat of a tune, and all attacks, dodges, jumps, and movement is in synch with the beat. Timing button presses to the beat gives a damage output bonus too, and even the enemies attacks adhere to the same rules, so predicting attacks can be fairly easy to judge. It's been a fun little game so far. Check it out if you've got game pass.
  19. Like I said previously, the demo didn't feel that great IMO. I'll wait until this either goes on a big sale, becomes a PS Plus game, is gifted to me in some form or obtained in a police auction of some minor criminals estate. I'm glad you're enjoying it though @Luseth Keep the updates coming. 🤘🏻
  20. I'm not surprised by this at all. At least there was a demo pre-release for folks interested but unwilling to fork out close to $100 for a shit game. Such a damn shame. I feel this IP could have had a really good chance had the developers gave it a main character that was more likeable as well as some extra polishing here and there. I even said the demo felt lifeless and the dialogue was just awful. Keep your eyes peeled for this one to go on sale relatively quick. Hell, maybe even a freebie. Also, this is the same developer working on FF16. What the fuck happened to Square-Enix?
  21. I'm really digging the new graphics @GazzaGarratt Happy 10 years FG!!! 🤘🏻
  22. Episode 29 is LIVE!!!!! We talk a bit more about the recent changes Wiizards of the Coast are making with the OGL (Officially) as well as some tips for DMs and newbies playing D&D for the first time.
  23. Very sad news. I'm gutted to have such a loss to the music industry, as well as guitar players world wide that looked up and was inspired to play thanks to Jeff. R.I.P.
  24. Episode 28 is LIVE!!! We talk about some amazing alternatives to the Wyrmwood game tables for our friends across the pond, as well as some of our favorite and not-so favorite boss battles.
  25. Looks like the big part of this will be the full discord integration.
