  1. Enjoyed that game, managed to catch the second half. Utd's defence has become like Arsenal's last year. Going for an Arsenal v Villa final, just got a feeling Tim Sherwood may just get it right in this competition. That's assuming their fans don't get them kicked out.
  2. So do I. Being from the Nottingham area nothing would be more pleasing than to see the sheep shaggers fail!
  3. Lucky result for Spurs imo. QPR hit the woodwork and had a stone wall penalty turned down! Forest beat Boro and help the sheep shaggers (Derby) keep the lead in the Championship, double edged sword in way, get a win and help their fiercest local rivals. Are Forest on a late push for the play off's, they're certainly gaining momentum. Unrecognisable from when Stuart Pearce was in charge. Scrap that Birmingham have just leveled against Derby, 7 minutes added time.........shit. Top 4 all on 66 points don't think I've ever seen that before.
  4. Now you've done it, that is just wrong!!
  5. Not sure if this is good or just plain scary!
  6. No definitely not during the game, on one channel in particular they cram them all in just before, at half time and straight afterwards. Putting on commercials during a a game would lead to someone's head on a platter.
  7. He certainly didn't take the wagon option
  8. Completely agree with this Rich, great see him comeback after that scare. Role model in the making right there. The ref got some grief when he booked him also
  9. That's funny, some people just don't give a toss what anyone thinks no matter how stupid they sound. Not always a bad thing but in this case that guy really didn't have a clue.
  10. Well tonight's results have gone as expected although there were squeeky bum moments for all of the top teams, Man Yoo left it really late but that's what they did so well under Fergie. They aren't playing as well as would expect but they keep getting results Van Gaal has at least given them the belief that Moyes couldn't. Chelsea were made to fight by West Ham, and Man City were lucky to get away with a stone wall penalty against them. Drama at Spurs with Gomis collapsing and Swansea nearly stealing a draw late on. How long before Martinez starts getting flack for Everton's slide the wrong way?
  11. Millwall fans at their best again I'm guessing! Just watched the Gooners grind out a result against Everton, not too pretty from Arsenal but a result. I feel sort of sorry for Everton they just haven't got going this season at all. Liverpool have done Chelski a huge favour in the league today, we'll see how the League Cup final goes now. I'm predicting a Chelsea win, just can't see Spurs winning this one tbh.
  12. Thanks Steve, it's simply been a case of finding the time to spend on here and be active, my workload has been extreme to say the least over recent times. Right now I have the luxury of having some spare time outside of my usual work hours when stuck in my hotel.
  13. I know scary isn't it! @Sebba, no the Kia ad's don't seem to be as regular these days, but the viagra commercials are a laugh. The other ones that I find really funny are for pharmaceutical products, more time is spent telling you of the side effects than selling the actual product, talk about cover your arse. Anyway, the best thing is that I have found a channel that shows live PL games, watched 3 back to back last weekend, never get to do that at home. Just watching West Ham v Palace right now, Man U v Sunderland next.........saves me sitting here working instead.
  14. What, that you're going to Silverstone or that I'll buy you a beer? Thanks Dids good to be back!
  15. Didn't know that, I thought it was good, but he gets paid for doing that sort of thing so if he's that self critical I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing.
  16. I'm sort of restricted to what's on offer at the hotel in a way, it's not a big deal as such just found it a bit frustrating at times.
  17. I know what you're saying Kyle and I understand that these channels need commercials it's just that I'm used to the frequency and length of the commercial breaks. Typically, for the main commercial channels in the UK you get the best part of 15 minutes of actual programme to watch before you get a break, which is fine with me, allows us Brits to go and make a cuppa I'm in West Michigan my friend, not a short trip for either of us I think. I've got another 2 weeks before I leave out for the relative warmth of home
  18. Yeah I know Dave, they don't break up the actual game with commercials, more then their lives are worth, but the build up, half time and directly after just gets on my wick! Basically I never enjoy football coverage on ITV not just for the amount of adverts but some of the idiots they have on there as presenters pundits etc.......
  19. Is basically a complete ball ache. You get 5 minutes of actual programme and the same again with commercials. It's even worse than watching Champions League coverage on ITV in the UK. Don't get me wrong, it's great that I can watch the shows I like but just as you're getting into the programme you have a commercial break that just seems to go on forever. I guess the guys who live here are used to it, but still wouldn't mind getting opinions on it.
  20. I have high hope for this seeing who the director is, I thought District 9 was great as well as Elysium. Like you I have really enjoyed the Alien series excluding Resurrection plus the ultimate money grab Alien vs Predator. That was just awful.
  21. Sorry for the name faux pas Joe, thanks for all the advice above. I only have a ticket for race day unfortunately or fortunately dependent on how you look at it. Should be a great atmosphere though seeing as Lewis is world champion and it being his home grand prix, really looking forwards to the whole experience
  22. True that Sebba, not through choice workload means I don't get as much time as I used to, the joys of moving up the food chain eh!
  23. I bet Steve hasn't caught one like this though. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/enormous-20-stone-catfish-caught-with-fishing-rod-in-italy-after-40-minute-boat-battle/ar-BBhXzGE
  24. That would be awesome, see Drifter and Doc 2 of the forums stalwarts. Thanks for the belated birthday wishes Rich, I got got bought tickets for this years F1 GP at Silverstone this summer, up there as one of the best gifts I've ever been given. Copse Corner here I come!!
