What time are you running it? Wondered if i'd still be up and could mooch in with you guys. Totally desperate to do this, but not sure i want to raid the Destiny forums for a PUG (pick up group)

Trev's got it spot on. I totally forgot about about buying ammo packs. Will totally save your butt in a tight spot. Other than that and upgrading armour it doesn't really do anything for you as there's no in-game economy. Also, yes, the msissions are very, very samey. It's just more about the epic feel to them when the more you progress through the later levels. You'll replay each mission more than you'll care to think about, but different modifiers can make a map feel and play very differently

Ok then guys (and gal!), we're nearly all at the right level now. So i think it's time to start the Forever Gaming raid! From what i've understood so far it saves the progress you made but only for the Fireteam leader. So i propose we have 2 "saves" of the game. One with a UK leader and one with a US leader. We tend to overlap alot with our times but ensuring we've always got that 1 person will be a pain. So hopefully one in each time zone should help. I'd like to get started on this later this week. So let me know who's interested from what time zones and what level character you have. I'll probably collate the info in another thread with progress updates so we can track where we are with each save. All other suggestions welcome but come on guys, it's time to do this thing!!

Cool dude. I think we're all at a level where we can give this a go now. The main problem is going ti be co-ordinating it so 6 of us are on at the same time!!

Anytime Mr Owl! It really was an all out war at the end. I didn't think we'd do it at some points. It was possibly the longest mission i've done so far, with the most deaths, meant i only got 4 hrs sleep and i'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! Damn i'm loving this game

It's the part that says: "Bungie also outlined two more additions set to go live in the near future, though the studio didn't go into detail." That makes me to most excited. We'll be getting 2 more new things in the very near future. Makes me wonder whether this staggered release of content is their way of enforcing a tutorial?

Pretty much sums it up.Really enjoying all the bits to do so far, with more on the way already. Still on my 1st class as well! So plenty if mileage in the game

Yeah, that was probably an easier part for us. I tend to stick to the rocks of the left hand side so you can see the incoming spawns at the bottom, get good cover fire on him and also it will spread out the wizard/knight spawn that happens on the ledge above. Also save the supers for when the cluster fuck spawning happens when you get him to 1/3 health. Stick close together at this point and reviving is the priority so you can take advantage of the 1/2 secs free extra shielding you get when you finish reviving or when you have been revived. Maybe have a run through later on the vanguard strike so i can show you want i mean?

I managed to duo the weekly heroic strike. The wizards are a bitch in the room with the 3 waves. All i can say was good timing on our supers was what got us through, also maximising the orbs of light from each one meant we could run (i think) 3 in a row from each of us. Also a sunsinger warlock and defensive titan seemed to be a good mix of killing power and defensive capabilities. Learning the spawn cycle with the doors and pre-firing grenades also gives you a bit of an upper hand. Hope we're on about the same thing otherwise all that was a bit pointless

Are you doing the Vanguard strikes? That's the route i took. So that way even if you don't get a decent drop you are still working towards legendary gear with the marks you receive

Yes, yes and yes!! Had a few now where it's given me rare gear which wasn't even as the stuff i had equipped! Saying that i wouldn't mind a few more strange coins. The sunsinger gaunlets for the Warlick look badass!!

Strange coins are the currency used for the "Agent of nine". He has exotic level gear, engrams and weapons. I think you'll need 13 to get something at the moment. This arms dealer only spawns at the weekend and will be in different places. Currently he's over by the speaker against the large circular door you can't get through
