  1. Whilst I made it work by running long on super softs until lap 9 at Autopolis before switching to hards plus a quick splash of fuel, it did require me to pretty much run quali pace almost all the way through in order to build a 22sec lead over @Greboth in those laps, and I think when I left the pit I only had a 0.4 sec lead over him so the hard strategy was definitely the better one to use. I think potentially in the Gr4 class, hard tyres are not as much a penalty as in Gr3 so maybe like @GazzaGarratt says, maybe we make the lower class have a mandatory pit stop coupled with higher fuel usage/tyre wear?
  2. Is this what we are now referring to as the @Greboth rule? ๐Ÿ˜‚
  3. Good races last night guys. Seemed like most people had very similar strategies for the league race so was a very good indication of peopleโ€™s raw pace. Monza is going to be a very interesting race especially with the potential of lots of drafting. Obviously this assumes everyone gets through the chicanes safely ๐Ÿ˜‚
  4. @Mikepjbell brilliant drive in that third race mate. Strong consistent laps which was exactly what was needed in those tough conditions
  5. I currently dart around the A roads of Northamptonshire in a 2017 VW Polo Gti 6C Bought a couple of years ago as I was missing the feeling of racing on a regular basis thanks to various injuries, and just wanted something that made my drive to work a bit more interesting. Was torn at the time between a couple of different cars like the Golf GTi/R and a BMW 125i/330, but saving for a wedding at the time and remortgaging the house made me consider finances and thought I needed to be a bit more sensible. Itโ€™s a great little car for me and the wife, with plenty of power and great handling and regularly makes me laugh. Definitely surprises a number of more powerful cars in the twisty bits. Only downside is that itโ€™s not got much space in the back and pre Covid I was spending every week at the fuel pump spaffing away 50quid a time on Mr Shells finest ๐Ÿ˜‚
  6. @Shucker not sure if you can do this with the setup that you have mate, but I know a few of my racing friends swapped out the springs on their pedal setup for a harder spring which stopped the issue of it being too light and giving them more control on the accelerator. I know when racing Iโ€™m the wet we used to do that for some of the younger drivers to stop them from spinning out on low speed corners when it was wet or greasy
  7. Maybe it would be worth suggesting implementing drop scores, to help people who canโ€™t make it to every race. if you say that only your top 9 or 10 scores will count towards the final total then that allows anybody to still be in contention if they have to work or have internet issues etc. only a suggestion though but I really like the idea of this @phil bottle so well done mate. Think there will be some really close racing and itโ€™s an extra incentive to not stop pushing in a race even if it was a poor start
  8. I must have been the only person to actually enjoy Fuji!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Really good close races all evening with everybody and itโ€™s showing just far everybody has come as now there is close racing all the way through the grid and lap times are relatively close
  9. cheers mate! ๐Ÿ˜„
  10. Having played almost all of them, I would highly recommend Black Flag simply for the ship battles alone! Main character is possibly one of the most likeable in the series after Ezio. If you would enjoy being more of a pirate then an assassin then youโ€™ll definitely enjoy Black Flag and from what I remember there was plenty to do with plenty of side quests and activities like Fort taking and fighting other ships in a storm amongst lots of other things. Really good graphics for the time (some of the views are pretty spectacular if you get through the island jungles) and itโ€™s a good storyline if you enjoy that side of the game as well
  11. Yes I think that was my request for the wet race. Would be good to see what sort of effect it has for everybody ๐Ÿ™‚ I enjoyed the races on Tuesday with lots of close racing up and down the grid. Lots of improvement from everybody over the last couple of weeks which is good
  12. View this video Description This why you should never give up! Online daily race at Laguna Seca and had qualified P5/P6. Strong consistent pace had got me up to first and had decided to go in for tyres. Second place decided to risk it and not stop and this was me hunting him down with a great ending...

  14. I have to say mate you were very unlucky with your auto shutoff. Mine turned off as I went into that long left handed and miraculously my guess at where the track was worked out whilst I wrestled with the controller. Still not sure what was up with that last track as my optimal time was near as damn it what Greebs did, but for the life of me I just couldnโ€™t get the sectors hooked up resulting in a fastest lap that was seconds away from what I could have done. Just a disappointing race from my side unfortunately
  15. Couple of things, is anyone elses mini-map broken? Iโ€™ve played a number of games today where team mates donโ€™t appear at all on my mini-map. I can see them on the main screen but there is no arrows or anything on the mini-map. second thing is am I being stupid or does ghost not really work at all. Iโ€™ve got a number of classes that are more perk based so run ghost and ninja in perk 3. The number of times I have been moving (sometimes running sometimes walking) and not shooting, the enemy has put a uav up and suddenly players have whipped round to get me. Even when you have a counter uav up people still seem to home in on you more then seems normal. Thirdly, I know it has been mentioned in here or in another thread but the switch flip seemingly mid map to make you go from slapping people to getting arse fucked by Mandingo or vice versa is un-fucking real!!! played a game of kill confirmed and I was on a 23 kill streak and the team was dominating something like 45-12 with none of the opposite team doing at all well. All of a sudden it was like a team of Scumps and Claysters were all over the map. Some poor bugger even piped up on the mic asking if it had gone super difficult for everybody else as well. I think we scrapped a 65-61 win but man it was a proper sweat fest where you pretty much had to trip team their players otherwise you were getting one bursted.
  16. Good racing last night guys. It was good to see a large group racing again this week and even my missus says she hasnโ€™t heard me laugh so much on a race night! ๐Ÿ˜„ @Greboth3rd race was hilarious but I enjoyed the close racing on that one with you even if it did get close! Definitely think the GT needs to have another look at the penalty zones on the red bull track as there was a lot of frustration flying about!
  17. Iโ€™m definitely in ๐Ÿ˜„
  18. Thought it would be interesting to see how I do in the following games compared to the previous screenshot and weirdly enough I seem to have done better despite the lobbies getting a hell of a lot sweatier. I can only assume that the MLG wannabes bunny hopping around the map hyped up on RedBull and adderall are a little bit more predictable for me.
  19. @IRaMPaGe yeah this is going to get really sweaty now ๐Ÿ˜‚ This just shows how different that game was compared to normal games for me
  20. yeah it was the Christmas one and completely agree with you. I really seem to struggle to see anybody on this game in general so any darker maps are not my favourite. yeah got the game and instantly finished up for the night as I knew any further games were just going to be a disappointment ๐Ÿ˜‚. No idea on the SPM, but I will have a look after my next game. I already thought most of the games were a bit sweaty So this is really going to top it off ๐Ÿ˜
  21. Very proud of this considering the map and this sodding game in general. Now watch me get fucked relentlessly until the next CoD game by SBMM ๐Ÿ˜‚
  22. Was absolutely gutted to have missed the first race at Willow springs especially as I had spent a fair bit of time in the morning playing around with different cars. Of the two races I definitely thought that would be my best chance of a win as it seemed to suit my style. Fuji I didnโ€™t hold much hope for but my AMG Merc didnโ€™t miss a beat at all! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  23. Going to be slightly delayed on as I have only just got home and need to whip up some dinner first be on as soon as I can
  24. Iโ€™ll definitely be about if people would like a race ๐Ÿ™‚ keep forgetting to click the attend button
