  1. Here is another idea. How about you try to install ubuntu (Linux) on the laptop as a test The instructions can be found here http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-ubuntu That way if it works you know there is a windows issue. If it fails you know for sure it's a laptop issue. I wouldn't even do the entire install. I would just see if the install menu comes up when inserting the USB. I used to instructions to install my copy of linux so I know that it works
  2. I rolled Blops 3 into the last 3. A lot of people played it yes. Me included. However hardly non one here seems to play it anymore. I loaded it up today because I was feeling like something different and I put it away after 3 matches. It was also next to impossible to get match making on domination for some reason. I can only assume that the player base isn't what it use to be. I actually like AW much better than Blops. At least the connections and hit detection works for me on that game. Every Blops for me has been crap because of the technical execution. I am hoping that people wait for the game to be out before buying it. I really would like to see people wait a while and see if they can get Activision to cave on the AW availability. However I doubt that will happen
  3. Might depend if it is an upgrade that assumes you have an operating system already and therefore assumes you can run the file from USB or a bootable device. I agree with you that it should be bootable but I would still double check.
  4. Having played the last 3 it's pretty difficult to be optimistic about this one. I didn't get pass level 23 on Ghost because it was so poor. Given that IW shit the bed last time, this is a space game which CoD players don't seem to want and they are making such a big deal about packaging it with a game that was released in 2007 (almost 10 years ago), the game is probably shit. If the game was good IW and Activision probably would make a lot more money by releasing MW independently a few months later and charging $40 to everyone who wants it. Having to bundle it from the start and only making it available as a bundle is a bad sign for the new game
  5. I beleive that error is do to the computer trying to boot as an internet device. Try removing internet from the boot options if you can. Also try changing you SATA device options from AHCI to IDE in the data execution prevention menu I did a quick check for the issue and it seems like what you are seeing is a common problem with solid state drives and the Intel chip set. A USB drive would most likely look like an SSD drive https://communities.intel.com/thread/44258?start=60&tstart=0 Also is the windows USB a bootable USB or just an ISO file? When I did what you are doing with Linux I had to make my USB stick into a bootable ISO for it to work
  6. Nah, I don't see it working for me. Gearbox games tend to be too juvenile for my liking.
  7. Yep, We gamers are rather stupid about these things. If we all waited 3 months after release and none of us pre-purchased a game, we would be getting much cheaper games. Especially for games released in October and November since that's the Christmas rush and also fiscal year end for most companies I won't be getting it. I'm not paying $109 CDN to play a game I played in 2009 with 10 maps. Ghost sucked bad enough, I can't imagine what this one will be like.
  8. Tactical air support -> press, while airborne to evade increase discipline or increase strength Carry more special or carry more heavy ammo increase recovery after taking solar splash damage or increase armor when using a solar subclass
  9. Perhaps, however the pictures show the game with a box so ...
  10. I guess what is a little encouraging (if this is true) is that the MW4 seems to have it's own box which might indicate that it would be available stand alone. I do agree that the wording makes it sound fake. Activision would probably say that "MWR includes a compilation of the 10 most popular MW maps" or something like that. They would never use Only.
  11. I agree it can be great. The only issue for me was the technical execution as well which often sucked Hopefully their game engine is now sorted out
  12. My wife and I went to see it yesterday. It was awesome. I think people should not think of the original animated version and have a preconceive opinion before seeing it. Everyone in the theatre was an adult and everyone seem to have enjoyed it a lot
  13. Yep. Like I said I get that a lot for loot based games.
  14. Yep. was actually trying to get forma but seems like i get nothing worthwhile
  15. Patrick has sucky luck at loot type games and never had prime parts
  16. Maybe, maybe not. The Chinese CoD which is a web based free cod has all of the CoDs, maps and weapons as 1 and that works. They might be able to do it technically. I think that the marketing of it however might prove to be unacceptable to people. I don't want to have to pay for "space halo CoD" to get MW
  17. Pretty good scam when you think about it. Lets charge for a game no one wants and make an edition with a game that people want and charge more money. I wonder what legacy edition will cost. Maybe we should all wait a year until the next cod comes out and the price for this one goes down
  18. If that were true Micro soft would get a lot of help to re-energize the XBOX1. A lot of people have said they would be a re-imaged MW and MW2.
  19. Apparently he was a Jehova's witness and serious about it. So drugs would be unlikely. He also had epilepsy and had been sick for a while. If he refused drugs because of his sickness, that could be why he passed away. He turned down blood transfusions during operations because of his religion. That doesn't sound like the kind of guy who dies because of drugs but you never know.
  20. Yea, he was only 57 which is not that old. Apparently he had a number of health issues lately and had cancelled some shows so it might not have been all that sudden. It's quite unfortunate. RIP Prince
  21. Pretty much the same. This is a game who's novelty wore out pretty quick. The "raid" is a cluster fuck as far as I am concern. Most people just exploit it. If you actually do it, it's just repeating the same thing again and again for 15 waves. Doing the mission on challenging is touch and go. Some of them are pretty difficult because you are in another confined space with grenade spam. I also think it's bullshit to shoot a "human" criminal in the face with a sniper rifle that does 300K of damage 5-6 times and fucker still isn't dead The dark zone has just been running the exact same route a number of time with 3 other people, shoot the same guys, get the loot and get extracted. Makes me appreciate destiny a hell of a lot more
  22. But you were it's biggest fan I finding there also a shit load of technical problems with match making and other things I'm not sure how much I played it but it looks like it will be a trade in then My Son comes back from University Saturday. I'll see if he wants to give it a try first. If not bye bye division. Seems like all UBIsoft games I've played (and there haven't been that many) are the same. They are ok to play but have no replay value. Far cry was the same
  23. Unfortunately the video is not available in my country
  24. Pretty much what it says on the title. I hardly ever see anyone playing any more and it's getting routine and boring. I'm thinking of trading it for something else and it will make the decision easier if no one is interested in the game anymore
  25. Any of them named Microsoft
