Hi Kohken, I think I have heard of Nexgen before but can't recall where. I tend to prefer forum's still as I like a good thought out conversation, forum's tend to provide an outlet for that compared to modern day social media. That said some of the cr*p that get's spouted here can be just as bad so I will apologise in advance! There are a friendly bunch here albeit can sometimes be a little quiet as a lot of the group tend to forget the site is more than just the whatsapp groups! But yeah tell us about you and what you are into and such! And welcome!

We only really get on once a week at the moment but I am thoroughly enjoying this. It is filling the void that battlefield has left since BFV which is great. Obviously less destruction but that is sort of mitigated by the base building. You can see how many players still do not understand the logistical side of things around the supplies and such, it can be a bit frustrating when someone spawn's in and nicks off with all the supplies by bringing in vehicles, loadouts and such while you are trying to build up a base. We did take a beating last time we were on, similarly I don't think the group I play with fully appreciates a well built up base. A group joined the Soviet side and came in and took half the map rather quickly as they took out the radio beacons to prevent spawns and the bases had no ai and such to defend them. For the first time in a shooter sniping is incredibly satisfying too, but the ai leave room for improvement. Getting one shotted at sniper range by someone holding an AK is absurd. I have had one go in the chopper and for some reason it locked my camera once I took off and I could not turn it round at all which made it particularly difficult, still somehow managed to land it with only 1 guy in my squad dying (but he did jump out before I had landed so his own fault!)

I had meant to put up a post and forgot about it! It looks absolutely bonkers but sometimes the bonkers ideas can be the best! I feel it's worth a look when it comes out.

Modric had all the time in the world to take that shot, if anything that just show's how poor some of the Spanish defending is! Iwata's goal for us in the cup against Newcastle was better I think had someone closing him down at least and didn't have time to control the ball before the shot!

So, I gave it a brief go and played the first few hours. It's better than some of the reviews were suggesting I think. In fact I would go so far as to suggest reviewers are doing the common thing of picking out a game similar or made by the same dev's etc and just comparing the 2 and when a feature is not in the newer game they complain about it, with no consideration as to whether or not it is a design choice or such. I won't be playing the game fully just yet with the other games I have on (I am letting my game pass lapse this month), I need to start completing some games but I will come back to it I think at some point.

I loved this game, I am quite into my post apocalyptic games but I am getting a bit frustrated at Sony with these cheap easy to do remasters which let's be honest is probably partially being done by AI now so is costing them less and less each time to do it. This with a game that they said was not successful and there was no chance of a second game. I can not justify spending any money on these remasters and honestly find it bizarre when people do. It's just a really bad money grab and each time people spend money on them it just encourages it.

Not yet, I had contemplated it for this evening but I have opted for KCD instead 😄 I have a few too many games on the go and if I begin this now I can see me drifting away from another and the one's I have on at the moment are games I have drifted away from once. If I do so again I won't play them and it would be a shame 😄 I have a friend who is playing it and really enjoying it, he's certainly giving me a more positive spin on the game so on the postive side of the mixed reviews which is promising as we like the same sort of stuff.

Ah thanks for that, going to take a look at that now. I have levelled it up a couple of times so will see how far away from that perk I am! Maybe I will pick all the flowers in the abbey garden 😄

Stats updated for this Monday. Our win percentage is actually looking pretty good, so long as we are winning more than we are losing I consider that good. We also got up to division 2 this Monday without realising it until the end!

I have been playing the first one at the moment too, I am trying not to buy games from brand new if I can help it. I am currently flitting about the abbey having attempted to defeat the guy in the ruins and losing! The games are great and really do bring a realism to RPG's that we don't often get.

As ever I will reserve judgement until playing it, the outer worlds had a similar mix bag of reviews when it came out and I enjoyed that. The fact it's on game pass too so won't really cost me anything extra is an obvious plus too.

I always think with things like this, there was a level of complacency with the launch of Overwatch 2. They knew they dominated that area of the gaming field and because of it there was a half arsed launch of what was let's be honest an update. An update that was not really better than the original game. That level of complacency always has the risk of returning, we complain about Fifa in the same vain and you have to make the decision on whether or not it is worth sinking any more time into these games.

I don't think you can fault him for this and I don't think this is just solely about the state and position Blackburn are in currently. If you look at Eustace's career since 2009 with the exception of a short stint at QPR he has been based within the Midlands, in fact his son play's at the same football club as a friend's son in Birmingham. I think this is a decision being made partially around the time he spends with his family, Blackburn is a fair way to travel if your home is near to Birmingham and I suspect results in him spending a lot of time away from them. The fact that they have lived around here for so long makes it much more difficult to up and move for work which a lot of managers, footballers etc often do. Blackburn have not had the fantast He will also understand now that this sport is a results business and in all likelihood next season he will be out the door if the team does not progress (which on the current budget they have is going to be difficult to achieve), he now has an alternative option where if they get relegated it's not the end of the world because the hope was to stop up this season. Meaning next season is his with a team fully capable of competing for a promotion place increasing the length his current working trajectory. Couple that with being able to negotiate a contract with a decent pay off should he be let go during next season then as well.

It does make them look a bit silly, ironically though they haven't been getting things right for a while we don't get the same issue with Xbox. That said it didn't really affect me too much 🙂

Stats updated again this weeK, some things I picked up as well putting them in this week - - Next week will see us hit the number of matches for a Championship season (we need 7 more games). We currently sit on 72 points. In all liklihood we would only need 1 win of those 7 for a play off spot, winning all 7 would see us in most seasons nick an automatic space! Considering how crap we tend to start the new fifa games that to me is not a bad return at all! - @Macca89 despite playing only 5 games last week picked up 3 MOM's and sit's top of the assists with 30 showing he's probably the biggest team player of FG! - @Jamesmade a point of proving me wrong on assists last week by getting 6 (being his current best since I started the stats!) This also moves him into third O/A. - @Antpool84 Is the only person not to have missed a match in 2025 featuring in 44 games! (Note that I don't have the results of the first week hence the difference between his appearances and the points tally above).

Had a couple of sessions now, now that I sort of know what I'm doing it's actually become quite good fun. You can tell there are a lot of new players, people don't understand the supplies in a match and such. There are a few as mentioned before from my battlefield group up for giving it a go and they joined me Saturday just gone and we had good fun with it. I am very skeptical about letting others drive now though as I have died a few times just because people can't stay on the road! There are also some wingebags in some of the lobbies, I drove some supplies to a forward base the other day and because I did not stop to pick someone up (the truck was full mind) he tried to vote to kick me, he also began a vote to kick someone only minutes later in the same base I was gathering supplies for de spawning vehicles then proceeded to try and run to the forward bases 😄 I had some great gun fights, fighting in the streets at the port was great and people could really hole up in some of the buildings, where some games you would just drive a vehicle in i.e. battlefield and knock it all down or it would be a run and slide into a building. Here it just felt like a warzone, well calculated attacks and making the most of cover and such. Playing it on your own strikes me as less fun unless you are in a decent lobby, but working as a squad, moving up and flanking enemies and such together it can be great when it works. We snuck up on a sniper on a cliff the other evening after he picked 1 or 2 of our guys off and my friend bayonetted him which was quite entertaining. It will definately get more game time from us I think.
