Man, if 2020 couldn't keep getting any worse it really did when I woke up this morning. An incredible actor, I truly loved him as Black Panther, my daughter's favourite film and my son is pretty cut up about it too. The fact he battled on acting through his illness and getting sicker throughout makes him stand out even more. RIP Chadwick. 😔

I'm purely waiting like @Plumbers Crack for the PS5 cost and then to see how many of us here upgrade. With a game like CoD I don't want to miss out on the party chats and group ups so if we end up all over the shop then i'll get the cross gen option. We know how poor a CoD game has felt when we're solo over the years.

Just a heads up - Now that we have a secure site we can get Facebook login to work as its not worked for a few years (i'm sure theres many back in the day that have this connection but can't get in because of it) so i'm planning to fix that as soon as i can. Also just found out the Google one has a fault so going to pick that up too. On the plus side, i've updated the Videos section so now need to see if its working as expected. Should also have new features which i'll try and highlight when i get chance

UPDATE So, we have quite a few things not 'active' or working at present unfortunately and we have to wait for the relevant updates to those applications before I can make them live - i've tried to do it beforehand and thats why you might be seeing some generic forum with no logos or colours, etc. To try and give you a flavour of what is and isn't working so far i'll detail it below: Not working Tapatalk and the FG App - the plugin they provide must be updated for it to work with the site. Also, much to my frustration, our FG App is not showing in the Play Store either. However, this has been for sometime now and we are stuck in the middle of why Tapatalk (who provide our own branded app) have had the App rejected by the Google Play Store. Videos, including the Videos Slider we had on the front page Discord integration - None of the push notifications for all of discord channels, such as new topics posted, new events created, videos and quizzes posted, etc. FG Photos - whilst not many people have seen this, it requires an update. A place where we can post pictures in one location and vote on our favourite ones of the month. Visuals for Articles - Mini pictures require investigating as to why they aren't working as expected Who was online last 24 hours - utilising a whos online 'now' feature instead. This may be kept to minimise plugins All page templates - Many separate pages had templates which need investigation Minimize quotes - if you quote something, it will quote correctly but won't minimize to 4 or 5 lines, as it has done for recent months. External link embeds - requires update Calendar Event Topics - new topics would auto create on the back of events for people viewing via just forums to help everyone realise theres a new event up. This is disabled requiring a new update but may need to view how these work going forward Is working and updated Quizzes - Good to go so if anyone wants to make one, feel free! Online indicators now look different if the user is online Events and Calendar works as expected - also on the current homepage there are new countdowns, alongside all of you should receive notifications of the event happening soon if you signed up a few days earlier Some new or not much used features to quickly note Light/Dark Mode can be changed at the top menu by just clicking the Moon sign Forums top level pages have a grid format, with each section having a visual aid. This is the default view moving forward as discussed previously to bring this place to more visual aids - however - you can still access the old way of viewing the forum sections by clicking the left of the 3 ways to view forums. You can also have the right fluid view which is a long list of all the latest forums. This is a new option for you all as I've decided to open up the choice, as I know some may not like the visual aspects - be good to get feedback though. Twitter timeline from FG can also be shown on different pages You'll also see there is a Store option. There isn't anything there yet, but this sets the first steps up for the Merch we talked about previously There is a lot more, probably more stuff I care about than likely anyone else here but we'll carry on updating and fixing each bit as we go along. For Appy people, theres a few things that seem to be moving forward to. One might be alternative to Tapatalk and another one could be closer to this place as an app but thats extremely early days. I'll leave you to chew the fat whilst I crack on with other stuff on here.

Its the way forward and now we have bicycles we can share quests and get them done quickly. 3-4k XP is something you need to get yourself working on. It is still evening of Day 13 so a full day of prep before horde night left, I went to play on but because it was close i thought people might like a whole day of prepping. Abit like the calm before the storm. There's plenty of blocks to build to help branch out that base a lot more so its structurally sound and less chance it will all come down after a horde night attack.

Might be a good stream in hindsight.

Yeah, it was in the other thread @J4MES OX4D stuck up - i'm waiting for Sept 9th to see what the MP looks like, but we know trailers usually don't show major gameplay.

Another good ol' day at the office on the FG server. I've been cranking on up the XP ladder, upgrading blocks, digging and hammering for materials, and picking up as many Fetch and Buried Supply Quests as I can get my hands on. You all reallyshould get quests everytime you log on. Nearly 3,000 XP not to mention money earned, Zombies to kill around the objective and digging for Buried Supplies is even more XP. Managed to get my hands on a Claw Hammer and Duct Tape (thanks @tronic44) which meant we could now build a Workbench. I've also managed to build 2 Bicycles that Rich and I left at the top of the base for anyone that wants a trip out. Much, much easier to go on a scavenger hunt now. We've also built some more support for the overall structure so we shouldn't have any mishaps - well, when i'm not on anyway. I think it's coming along nicely. Also bought a Cash Register and a Munitions box from the trader so they're looking smart now. Rich has built out some Iron bars to help see out and shoot through on horde nights. Oh, and here's a lovely pic from the top looking at @Diddums house/bungalow, with some swanky red stakes to keep the nasty neighbours out. Oh, and in case you're wondering - the chairs? Well, you better ask Rich about that one...something tells me a favourite Cockney friend now has plenty of space to chill and hang out in their adjoining tower 🤣

I've tried to leave this thread unread because I wanted to give it some thought but I keep coming back round to just making the most of all the games I currently own and finding more time for all of them (somehow). So far I want to get much more into: DayZ - PC & PS4 (Our own FG server if poss) 7 Days to Die - PC (on our own FG Server) Green Hell - PC (co-op campaign) GT Sport - PS4 (FG Time trials) Assetto Corsa - PS4 (FG Time trials) Destiny 2 - PS4 & PC (Complete raids/challenges for FGers and myself. Plus triumphs. And dabble on PC setting more. Oh and DLC in Nov) Hunt Showdown - PS4 (More game nights on this. Prestige player at least once) Wreckfest - PS4 (Get enough Fame for new awesome cars. And platinum the game) FIFA 20 - PS4 (FG Pro Clubs evenings) CoD Warzone - (More grouping up and start to get into challenges more) XIII - PS4 (New release, remake of old xbox game I loved) And a million more games i'm sure but my brain won't think straight cos there's too many!

Yeah, i know you like Steel Series. I can't comment as i've never owned any of their accessories but they seem to have decent rep. Corsair or Logitech I would normally pump for on Keyboard and Mouse. Still debating on whether to change my Mouse to the logitech one below. Logitech Lightspeed Having said that, they seem to a much more affordable wireless mouse on Amazon right now, obviously not as good as the one above but still half decent: Logitech MX Master

@Greboth is your man. I haven't used a wheel in ages, I kinda like using controllers weirdly with racing games. Are you looking for just a wheel or the entire setup e.g. gear stick, pedals, etc?

It has the looks of L.A. Noire which I absolutely loved. So much so that even Hayley loved watching me play it but that was also down to the story/detective style gameplay. As a person thats never played it before, whats the story like? More like a GTA game or nearer to L.A. Noire detective gameplay?

I think i'll have to watch a few more videos, that was a good watch Rob, definitely can see that we'd have fun with it. I just need to understand the rules a little more. Part of me also thinks some people here would totally get this wrong and make a mess of it! 🙈🤣

I'm now all of a sudden really interested in seeing if he can do well at another club. Just a shame hes doing this at such a late stage in his career. If he goes to China it'll be a travesty.

Yeah @Dan94 , I'm totally with @J4MES OX4D on this as i'm just not sure 4k is ultimately needed quite yet. 4k feels like this Ultra HD mode that Sky try to flog but if i'm honest we all don't get much benefit from it. I think we've had the biggest jump that our eyes could take from Standard graphics to Full HD. Also, you didn't get my subtle hint to clearly pick up a PC if you get a PC gaming monitor. You know it makes sense to have all of the things!

We've done a pretty good job of getting itr pretty much back to where it was within a 3-5 hours I reckon. @Diddums was back on getting his Steam achievements and killing bears. @crispymorgan and @Ajay alternated trying to also find more bears and kill them, dying in the process. @Greboth went on a trip with me to fetch a shared quest. I then subsequently died from a Warthog. How on earth those buggers can jump fences i'll never know. @phil bottle was on to steady the ship and make sure we had some more Iron smelting and the resources were on their way back up, although i'm not sure he's overly happy with me building a lovely walkway to his radio tower base 😬 He's just shy to unexpected visitors i'm sure. I'm pretty chuffed with all this, considering I broke my leg. Twice. Frustratingly the second time was 2 minutes left before I could be fully better. Did I mention I love this game 🙃 Hope you like the storage boxes Rachel @tronic44, no time lost whilst you've been lazy at work doing absolutely nothing as per usual 😉 I think the last box has your favourite things in it, waiting for you to build some engineering fantasmic stuff. We all hoped you like the chairs though too. We've nearly got enough to full surround the entire edges 🤣

I turn it on and its like i've said before, a super awesome MP game that we should def play together. However, whilst the max player group is set to 4(!) then its not much fun splitting up a larger group of us online and playing separately. We all want to see each other fall off a cliff! Still can't quite believe they haven't addressed it in any comments i've seen from them.

Yeah, this theme is a pretty good one as most places now expect a standard Light/Dark theme at the click of a button, hence the Moon option for everyone at the top menu. Slowly getting there with other things now, have to integrate each feature one by one in case something gets knocked out because of it. You'll also see graphics coming along as we're getting there. As said before, anything that jumps out at you please say here.
