  1. Any advantage to Prestige in Cold War this time out?
  2. You know when you have one of those of nights where everything just seems to click and go right where you want it too? No? They don't happen often do they, but it did last night for FGFC! What an amazing night of results AN performances. Not one game I would say we were lucky, even if a few games were extremely close. New FGer James @Lurch AKA Dennis Rodman was on an absolute stormer, probably down to the fact it was his birthday. The silent assassin kept that quiet, just like his prefferred position is CB but he scored 18 goals in 11 games last night 🤣 Everyone to a man were amazing last night. @jordie1892 found out the reason we were losing so much stamina (linked to putting pressure tactics on) so once we put tactics to balanced, we were zooming around the field. The Kanye-Rodman combination up top was putting teams to the sword with drilled crosses getting the most success. Forlan @ChaosGladiator bagged a few goals through his trickery, @LordBaguette Garry Goals was renamed Garry Goal and no assists for a while however he was instrumental in the 'assist assist' column...if they ever had made one. Daninho @Dan94 , our now half brazilian/half english nutcase, was continuing his dominance to break up the play and link up Kanye-Rodman to devastating affect. Torpedo Tony @TonyAE86 probably had his best night so far in my opinion. Last ditch tackles off the line, putting multiple runners through down the wing and very rarely let anything past him. Jamie No'Hara @Macca89 came back from an illness to slot in at Centre Back and with his trusty sidekick Club Tropicana @GazzaGarratt making Left Back his own, it turned out to be a night containing our most clean sheets in one game night. Not sure what Virgil (Mikey) is gonna do with AI, Jordan Prickford playing a blinder too. Mulletov @G_dub52 was a late joiner, after supporting from work via Twitch for the first part of the night. It didn't take him time to get stuck and get the dynamic duo up top working again. Crunching tackles and sublime through balls galore. We started the night in Division 7 needing 2 points to get promoted. After only losing one game all night and storming Division 6 with a perfect record, we ended up in Division 5 and still remaining unbeaten before logging off. An incredible night of football. The link up play was magical to say the least and the way we shifted the ball from left to right and down the channels quickly made a huge difference. Also, the tipping point was not holding the ball too long in front of goal and letting a shot off. Last minute winners went in against the better sides and we sent many sides off to an early bed, crying into their pillow wondering will their lives and souls be the same ever again. GGFG FGFC
  3. I have it...I just gotta find more time to seclude myself to some hours playing on my own!
  4. What a blast doing this blind was! 5+ hours working out this section, i'm just devastated that the PS5 hasn't stored the settings to record voices like the PS4 did 😞 However, here's the run we had which shows how we had Charlie @Venom  and @Baabcat as the Operator, Nick @Bluebear  and Me @GazzaGarratt as the Scanners either side and finally Scott @RedXIII  on as much ad duty as possible.   We had numbered the control panels 1-5 as per Nick's great suggestion and simple drawing he did whilst we were in there. Shanks hit hard and I got explode twice in quick succession down to where the shanks were.   We started the round really well but as ads overhwhelmed us we fell behind on the fuses, only to clutch the last one at the end with next to no heavy ammo and a random pulse grenade securing the completion. I dropped the Scout Rifle at the end, a super gun to drop - looks good and shoots great.   Next time with voices! GGFG!
  5. I'll admit it, we're struggling what to get for our kids. I'm struggling for Hayley to if i'm honest. So can anyone lend me a hand if they've seen some decent fun things on the t'internet please? My kids have also got to the age where a lot of toys just don't cut it anymore (mine are 8 and 11) so any funky ideas wouldn't go a miss. As for myself, I'm thinking of asking for some Blackburn Rovers stuff and some PS5 games like usual but i'm also interested in trying out the new Pulse 3D headset for the PS5 to see if there is an improvement in sound over astros as its specifically designed for it. We'll also look at getting one or two of these for wider family members: We did our very first one at Halloween and were surprised how good it was. They are a once only play unfortunately but just over a tenner they seem a great stocking filler! Answers below please - come and help Uncle Santa out!!
  6. Some of the old 007 games that were single player campaigns weren't that bad actually. Yes, they were very linear but you knew what you were getting with them which sometimes is all you need out of a purchase. For them to make a statement it would be incredible to see some form of MP like Goldeneye back in the day to really see if it could get enough backing.
  7. We've gone on our inaugural family camping moment this year and we just dabbled abit in cooked breakfast and basic stuff thats easy. I definitely love the idea of doing it more whilst out camping rather than just at home. We've had a few BBQs but as my wife is a Veggie and i'm the exact opposite it doesn't combine for the most exciting range of food for us as a family! I know that @Middle Class Caveman has done some smoking of late and maybe @Stretch616 , @G_dub52 and @crispymorgan have done something different on their camping expeditions?
  8. It was a phenomenal ride and something I wasn't initially intending to do but as the week went on I felt if we could get a team together it would be worth it - and it didn't disappoint. @Baabcat @Venom @RedXIII @Greboth and @Bluebear shared joint Worlds first for approximately 10 minutes whilst we navigated the first 'Sparrow' encounter. Just getting from post to post was incredibly hard with the blizzard in full force throughout that section. A great opening though for sure. Once we made it to the second 'Security' encounter, we bounced many ideas around and slowly made progress through it on our own. It felt great how people were working theories through on the spot and then giving them a go. Nick made a huge breakthrough with the 'Operator' and 'Scanner' roles which jumped us forward to working out the main part and then we had to work out the damage phase. Scott then gave us the right direction which left us with the task of just killing the fuses. Yeah, about that. That was super difficult with contest mode on and exploder shanks, Captains, and the Overload Captain all around you. Not even a Well would keep us alive when they got too close. After hours of trying to stay alive, no one gave up, no one quit and we were determined to get the job done. A quick fly to orbit because we noticed the enemies were starting to lag around quite abit we went back in and after a few tries and getting really close - including one where it glitched the screen, we all went blind and blown a red fuse and didn't complete correctly - we managed to clutch the final fuse with a number of us dead. The feeling was incredible and the reaction was priceless. You would have though we beat the entire raid and it was just one encounter! The experience was extremely worth it and reminded me of what makes this game so god damn good when you get a bunch of us together to work out puzzles and take down a bunch of crazy space enemies. And the loot is incredible btw. We went on to have a look at the 3rd encounter but that seems even more complex so worthwhile looking at that to understand mechanics before trying again. The design of this raid is super good and it brings out the story even more. Very dark, and very cool. Some surprises in there that link to the story that even people not that into it would say is cool imo. My hope is to get a completion before 1st December. That raid jacket reward finally looks wearable and worth it! 🤣😎 GGFG all and hope that all the other teams had a fun time in doing their first run blind!
  9. I think they'll be many people blitzing through this game because of the hype so don't be surprised to see the 'it wasn't long enough' comment afterwards. Its too early to say just from these trailers. The skill trees look simple though and I really don't think they'll be huge depth to each character. To me, it more looks like you have 3 story playthroughs as per the 3 different characters you can select from. Thats what you're paying for.
  10. If they're doing this they have to top Angelina Jolie as Tomb Raider, even if they weren't top notch films. Always felt if they backed this franchise with money this would be pretty huge. The original films are not what you'd hope for (even though I still like them cos they're a super easy & corny watch)
  11. What was that and what did they do with the game? 🙈🤣

  14. Looks like there's some form of a campaign/onjective in this one to discover what someone has left around the place which makes it even more inviting for me. Damn Rachel, you're killing me with these survival games 😁 Its £24.99 atm so I see whats occuring as its getting close to Crimbo. Great idea, lets hope it has lots of crafting items to make and do different stuff.
  15. Because of Astro Playroom of course?!! You ain't far wrong though mate, a bit disappointing how little games are available. It'll feel different come Feb I think after a number of releases and upgrades have took place. I've picked up Valhalla as I said above so will see how that pans out. However, I'm also picking up WRC 9 as I really want to see how a driving game feels and looks on it.
  16. Not many playing it Xbox here @MrBiron however @Stretch616 's son got one and I think he might dip into it considering its part of the game pass?
  17. Aaaand with that Midnight song, i'm back in the 80s again 😎
  18. Only in America™
  19. The giddyness within me when it finally came kicked in. I hadn't noticed i'd asked Hayley about 25 times if she had seen when the delivery would happen! It finally arrived half way through Zoom video calls in the day, but I managed to get it setup through them so when i clocked off, I could start having a bash through it. First and biggest selling point? The controller. Hands down the first bit of kit to come out of this next gen era of gaming which is absolutely meets that category. You have to download the Astro Playroom that comes with the PS5 to fully experience what this controller can do. Its ridiculous. I felt like a 12 year old again getting Hayley to come over everytime it shown me something new. "H! H! Quickly, get here! How awesome is this?!!". I'm completely with @Stretch616 , the Haptic Feedback in the triggers is the dealbreaker. How new games (when they get here) can take advantage of how they program that will be frickin awesome. Its like there is a click in there at one point and then nothing the next. Incredible design and can see why they're worth their money. Other positive points include loading times - even with PS4 backward compatible games. I've never seen Destiny 2 load so quickly and thats only gonna get better when they release the PS5 upgraded version. It would be good to see how GTA Loading does on this. Then theres the Share Screen play. Playing on FG Friday where we all just playing random games in the chat, Stretch could play Overwatch and watch us play FIFA with FGFC in the corner of his screen with no lag and virtually no delay either. This will so help when one of your teammates is stuck and you want to show them quickly where to go or what action to do from your screen. Negatives are still there. Games. Where are they?! I likened it to the Xbox 360 launch when they only had 13 of them delivered to Toys R Us in my area and I managed to secure one of them but I could only play FIFA Road to World Cup which was exactly that but with no World Cup tournament in it! Even the existing games like Destiny and FIFA are being upgraded in early December. Clearly they wanted to get the console out for Christmas to grab some cashflow early doors. The chat/message/party system is still a mess for me and it invites a little ignorance into gamers if you ask me. If you need a party private for your own reasons it was easy, but now you can't even nudge someone to join the existing party they're in without nudging the other 60 people in the group cos everyone sees the message as there is no way to 'invite' to an existing chat. I can't even say pop in and say hi to others playing games if we don't use existing groups we've set up cos you have to be in it to speak. Big thumbs down from me. The UI i'm undecided on. Its just getting used to it I think which will have its niggles. Overall I still like it, the haven't overhauled that bit i'm glad about because their sleek design was hands down been better than Xbox for years. I think it has some snazzy subtle features that we'll all love when we work them out. Oh, and the setup for my existing Hard Drive was easy peasy so I can play my PS4 games straight off the bat. I'm not liking the internal storgae size at all for PS5 games but new games seem to be smaller in size so I hope it'll be a while until we have to work out what next additional storage to buy thats compatible with PS5 games. Frustrating but not dealbreaking seeing new sizes of games. @Diddums is also right that a £250 headset can't work without an adapter due to no optical output. Weird design decision, but maybe helps them plug their own 3D Pulse Headset perhaps more so? I've picked up Valhalla, Cold War and WRC9 so will finally give some PS5 games a go shortly in their true form over the coming weeks. I'm just super glad we can all chat with no issues across PS4 and PS5. Well worth the money.....Just.
  20. This was an insanely good watch! Love how many film and game references in this there are!! Brilliant find @J4MES OX4D !
  21. 'WHATSUPGUYSSS'! A big Happy Birthday to our Mattyboy @Misneach_ ! And a big happy birthday to AmmoAnna @craftofboredom too!! Have a top day both! 🍺🎂😎❤️
  22. Thats probably worth it alone. I'm like @techno as it doesn't come second nature to wear a watch but if it meant i'd stop becoming a fat bastard then I could be swayed. I just don't why they have to super expensive still. I really did think they create a value range lower than £100 just with less features but will interact with your phone.
  23. I was thinking, not sure I could do another survival game whilst we've got all the others on the go...and then I go and see they're bringing in a Zip Line!! What madness is this!?! Looks awesome and a really cool idea fitting with the game. Might check this out over Christmas considering its only £15. If it gets a sale and it goes even lower, let me know and i'll grab it.
  24. Must be a weird Microsoft Store code or something then but good to know this kind of voucher works mate 👍
  25. Well, the raid ISN'T delayed and they've also made the quickest patch possible yesterday that made changes not only to some bugs found initially but also directly to the Stasis super. Somehow feels like it shouldn't have got this bad but looks like the continued changes in the back end of the game we don't see has allowed them to make quicker patches, especially game breaking ones like the Warlock Stasis Super. Here's all the details of the patch they've shot into the game just days after the issues: DESTINY 2 HOTFIX 3.0.0.3 Nov 19, 2020 - Destiny Dev Team COMBAT WEAPONS Fixed an issue where the Coriolis Force Fusion Rifle was getting more ammo than intended from ammo bricks. Fixed an issue where the Witherhoard damage debuff wasn't being removed properly. Witherhoard has now been re-enabled. ABILITIES Stasis Fixed exploits with the Warlock Shadebinder Super. Stasis breakout damage reduced (110->90hp). Adjusted the curve that reduces breakout damage using Resilience. Increased the damage reduction effect Resilience has so that higher tiers of Resilience are more valuable. Caps out at 90 Resilience. Penumbral Blast (Stasis Warlock melee) projectile speed reduced by 20%. Penumbral Blast (Stasis Warlock melee) range reduced (was 28m now 16m). Winter’s Wrath (Stasis Warlock Super) duration reduced (was 30s now 24s). Winter’s Wrath light attack (Stasis Warlock Super) cost reduced (was 5% per burst, now 4.5% per burst). Cold Snap seeker speed reduced by 23%. Against Guardians: Cold Snap freeze duration lowered (was 4.75s now 1.35s). Ice Flare Bolts freeze duration lowered (was 4.75s now 1.35s). Penumbral Blast (Stasis Warlock melee) freeze duration lowered (was 4.75s now 1.35s). Winter’s Wrath heavy attack (Stasis Warlock Super) no longer affects players who are not encased. GAMEPLAY AND INVESTMENT REWARDS Fixed an issue where Pinnacle rewards were not dropping at the correct Power. Fixed an issue where several repeatable bounties were providing more XP than intended. ACTIVITIES Fixed an issue on Exodus Crash where the Spider Tank wasn't spawning. Exodus Crash has been re-enabled. GENERAL Fixed an issue that was causing ARUGULA errors. Fixed an issue where Fragment pursuits were purchasable with a full inventory.
