I think most any decent melee weapon will work up to the point where it becomes ill advised to be wading into melee. That said, if you really want to max your melee versus Infested, here are some options.
Infested, generally speaking, are weakest versus Slash damage. They also tend to show up in hordes, so something that can hit multiple targets would be useful.
Leaving out Prime weapons, the Galatine would seem to be the best option. It has immense Slash DPS and can hit 5 targets simultaneously. It also has a decent crit chance and typical 2x crit multiplier.
Here is the Slash DPS for some other slashy weapons for comparison:
Atterax 36.45
Orthos 31.5
Scindo 72
Nikana 45.76
Dex Dakra 45.92
Kronen 57.2
Galatine 119
Some other things to consider are that the Atterax lends itself very well to Critical builds, having a base 25% crit chance and 3x multiplier. On the downside, it can only hit one target. The Kronen and Dex Dakra both have a whopping 390 spin attack damage. The Galatine has 250 spin attack and the other weapons listed are all around 100.
Conclusion, I need to build a Galatine tout suite.

As James pointed out, they're hacked to pieces. I went back and tried playing CoD4 at one point and I'd say one out of three lobbies was hacked. I landed in a rank up lobby which kicked me up to max prestige and completed all challenges, thus giving me nothing to play for. Thanks hackers.

I got a T3 Sabotage key from an alert, so that's at least one more shot at Loki Prime systems.

I didn't have to be convinced to play any of those games, I knew I'd like them. When everyone else was playing Warframe, I did not have a PS4. When Doc et al were playing ME3 multiplayer, I was playing MW3 with other folks and hadn't yet completed the ME2 campaign. I bought Destiny for PS3 straight away and liked it enough that I upgraded to PS4.Says the guys who had to be convinced to play ME3, Destiny and Warframe
I stopped playing a while back. I almost never see anyone online playing it either. It's one of the more disappointing purchases I've made.
Choosing not to play games you think will be good is not at all the same as thinking a game is going to be bad.
I also disagree completely with the idea X hours played means you got your money's worth, but that's a topic for a different thread.

I still mostly don't know what I'm doing but it's fun. In the campaign, I'm at chapter 11, haven't done any challenge mode yet. In the Tower of Pwnage, my best run is getting to floor 6, so five floors. In PvP, I have some amount of trophies lol.

I've read how his powers work. I've read several build/strategy guides. I still don't get it.
It seems his 1st ability is universally regarded as rubbish, which I can agree with. It's an elemental breath weapon, like a dragon. Awesome right? Not so much. When a dragon uncorks its gastro-destructive belch whole villages cease to exist. When Chroma does it, it's like trying to beat someone back with a garden hose that you're holding your thumb over the end so it comes out as a mist.
Most builds focus on his two and three, being Elemental Ward and Vex Armor. Supposedly you activate both these abilities and with the right build, Chroma is a super tank. But... The duration is pretty damn short, even with a max Continuity, far too short to be truly useful. Also, it's an armor/vitality build, and I don't have life strike or any other means of regenerating my own health. Given that, Vex Armor is nigh useless and Elemental Ward is best used as a brief get out of trouble power.
This brings us to Effigy, his ultimate. Chroma throws off his pelt and it acts as a sentry, dealing elemental damage to any who get close. This power is modestly effective at lower levels, with the added benefit that enemies killed by it have a chance to drop increased credits. Cool. Unfortunately it doesn't do enough damage to be good at killing things, it drains power faster than Diddums can suck down a beer, and mods that increase power range have NO effect.
