I'm back to this is a social experiment to see how many people are dumb enough to play it enough so they can't get a refund and see how much money they make. The videos are quite truly incredible.

Off to a strong start😎

Today is the day! After almost 3 years of lies, deceit, plagiarism, asset flips, fake gameplay, amateur mistakes and a multitude of embarrassments, the game is finally out in early access for £33.50/$40. I am not expecting much and will have to catch some gameplay later. A surprise choice to also launch in Unreal 5 instead of the far more stable UE4. Unless the game has some significant features out the gate then this could be a poor move right from the off that causes unnecessary strain on optimisation for nothing in return. 

Looks like the entire game was also build out of the Unreal Asset store
American City Packs (Bundle) in Environments - UE Marketplace
WWW.UNREALENGINE.COM The project includes a lot of high quality assets with everything that you need to create an American City. The city/architecture is based on New York City - NYC - Manhattan - Brooklyn. The buildings are...   That's just one of the packs used but there's plenty more from foliage, interiors, vehicles and other small details. It's the sort of game you could clamber together for about £1500.

Game is currently sitting at 21% positive on Steam and most of those are meme reviews. Watched 30 minutes of gameplay so far and it's just an extraction shooter in the most empty world imaginable. 2 zombies and one person killed in the stream I saw and a whole lotta looting nothing. They are also using misleading fake gunshots to add ambience. No vehicles, no melee and barely any features that were showcased 3 years ago. Bigfry described it as WarZ but worse which says it all.

I'd say it blows my mind how many morons actually bought it but then again 🤔😅
 
Barebones game, 3 zombies max, bullet sponge zombies at that. Not an MMO at all. Fucked up servers. Lies upon lies.
 
If they'd released it as an early access game without all the lying marketing for £14.99 I'd be ok with that but now I'll never touch this disgrace of a product 🤣

Looks like the Jason character has had a slight redesign. Didn't see too much of him in the trailer but I assume he'll be a playable character like Lucia. 

They certainly can't be turning up in 2027 with the Creation Engine, 2D character interactions, visuals from 2012 and no facial animations again🤣 ES6 is probably still another 5+ years away - I get the impression from interviews that they announced it way too early and then let it take a backseat whilst they were halfway through Starfield development. After the reception this game got especially from a technical and outdated standpoint, they may go back to the drawing board because releasing another archaic and unambitious game later this decade will not sit well. Their reputation is beginning to wane and people ain't as forgiving.

Bethesda are seriously making me worry About Elder Scrolls 6. They're going to fuck it up aren't they 😭🤣

Bethesda developers have been working overtime all week responding to negative reviews and telling people they were wrong and how they didn't play the game right. Some of the responses seem really unhinged and remarkably out of touch. 
 
Here's one infamous take:-
Some of Starfield’s planets are meant to be empty by design - but that's not boring. “When the astronauts went to the moon, there was nothing there. They certainly weren't bored." The intention of Starfield's exploration is to evoke a feeling of smallness in players and make you feel overwhelmed. You can continue to explore and find worlds that do have resources you need or hidden outposts to look through.
 
Comparing a real-life moon landing which was one of the biggest achievements in the history of humanity to their shitty procedurally-generated copy and pasted planets to justify their emptiness is one of the most insane things I have ever heard from a developer. It's just one of many really weird responses. Surely they would thank the players for their feedback, understand the critique and take on board what has been said for future titles but no, they have to tell the players that they should not be bored because the game is 'realistic'.
 
It's also a damning insight into their design philosophy through development.

2025? I struggle to find any sort of excitement for something so far off.

Real shame it wasn’t released as planned tomorrow but at least I don’t have to worry about finding a quiet 5 minutes at work! It would’ve been one hell of a global spectacle and many will go about their day tomorrow not knowing that’s it’s been out for 12+ hours already🤣
 
Trailer looks amazing and Rockstar never fail not to impress with their once in a generation games. Gutted it’s not 2024 and it could still be two years away but it will be worth the wait.

Real shame it wasn’t released as planned tomorrow but at least I don’t have to worry about finding a quiet 5 minutes at work! It would’ve been one hell of a global spectacle and many will go about their day tomorrow not knowing that’s it’s been out for 12+ hours already🤣
