  1. I find the DLC for COD stingy considering how much £££ the community has chipped into the franchise over the years and still we get 4 maps and 1 novelty plus worthless mini-DLC that is dumbing down what was a serious shooter once. Can't they give out some free maps in a full pack or something as a gesture? Counterstrike Global Offensive has over 20,000 maps to choose from in the community and we're lumbered with costly DLC and Extinction which many people don't play. Battlefield Premium seems to offer so much as a package and is great value for money in the long run.
  2. More info on Platoons here http://mp1st.com/2014/02/25/dice-introduces-battlefield-4-platoons-rolling-february-27/#.Uw0XNPl_vKc
  3. Man Yoo were bloody abysmal tonight! Not a single shot on target I don't think. Smalling and Cleverley both had shockers and the rest played way below par. United are capable of winning 3-0 at Old Trafford but on tonight's evidence, I can't see them scoring.
  4. I've been pretty one-dimensional so far in just using pretty much the AK-12 on Assault and MX4 on Engineer and the time is now for me to start unlocking more stuff through the assignments. Any ideas on what weapons are worth unlocking including the Scout and Recon classes? Cheers!

Was toying with the idea of getting this for the PS4 but at £50, I think I'll pass. Even at £27 on Steam; I am not hugely tempted. Shame
  6. The grenade kits are live now
  7. State of Decay £7.49
  8. COD and Battlefield have always been very different games but they are compared mostly due to being in the same popular genre and there isn't much competition until now with Titanfall which will be essentially going toe to toe with Call of Duty. I think comparatively; Battlefield and Call of Duty offer very different experiences with COD being more an arcade-based shooter and Battlefield focusing more on the realism and tactical aspect on a grander scale. I'm not calling BF a simulator but it does depict a more realism-focused environment. I prefer arcade games like COD as I grew up with the likes of UT, Counterstrike and Q3 but Battlefield 4 as a package and experience is streets ahead in every respect but I can understand why people still play and enjoy Ghosts. If it was 2009; Ghosts would be great but this is 2014 and having seen what games are on offer in this generation; I feel COD is dated and ultimately stale. Call of Duty has been too comfortable in the gaming market with limited competition but Titanfall will shake things up a bit and hopefully COD will improve and expand at a greater rate.
  9. New Infinity Ward = Good connection/Shit games Treyarch = Good games/Shit connection
  10. To be fair. Sennex did say this was good in the double posted thread that was deleted. He also said that Medal of Honor Warfighter was much better than BF4 also
  11. Uni is a no-go in this climate at present particularly with the lavish tuition fees which doesn't include the living costs. A few of my friends in the past few years went to university and none of them to this day have got a position in their desired field of employment and a couple of them went without work for way over a year. In the end, they just bit the bullet and got simple low paid jobs. It was a fun experience for them but they are in dimes of debt on a horrific level and bound by repayments come when they receive a job at a certain salary. Many internships promise so much but deliver little. It's just ways for companies to exploit people to make the tea If you go this way; make sure the role is detailed and consistent and that they have the determination to take you on if you are successful. Part time work is also good to start your career. It's experience and not too heavy plus you can do studies on the side or if you enjoy the job; earn more hours if possible. It doesn't have to be your career but it's money coming in and you still have time to do other things. Best thing to do is find something you enjoy and as you have parental support; you don't have too much money worries and won't need to look for something that pays high but you;ll hate. It's a dreadful working world out there at the moment and many are struggling but you're just starting your career and you have good security and lots of potential. Oh and Burger King are hiring in most places if you get desperate
  12. Just finished top of a 3200v3200 high ticket Conquest match which was very intense and tough. It lasted an hour and a half but winning was sooooo satisfying! I unlocked a fuckload too but felt too dizzy by the end to notice Grinding out a win on BF4 feels really good and you feel as if you've earned your stripes by putting in a mega shift. I used to finish top 4 times out of ten on COD but that was kinda meh as you didn't have to do too much either particularly if the opposition were poor. A few levels closer to prestige and a couple of poxy unlocks didn't feel rewarding but you just seem to get so much more satisfaction out of matches on BF4.
  13. Gamestop UK are selling the Xbox One Titanfall bundle for £369.97
  14. In 2016, they will probably release the Xbox One Slim You'd be able to buy it with a Call of Duty Ghosts 2 bundle
  15. That's the drawback of dedi servers. If demand is low for a mode; people wont stump up the cash for servers with limited traffic. They'd be better off running a Conquest server with 64 slots as you'd be able to fill it no problem and in some instances have players queuing.
  16. Apparently on Friday the Xbox One will cost £399.99 with Titanfall. Not bad but still pricey and you can pick up a PS4 now for under £320 in many stores.
  17. Dedicated servers FTW!

Coming to BF4 soon http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065225622053175/ Should bring a good competitive angle to the game for closely-knit teams.
  19. Battlefield 4 is a tough learning curve indeed. It's a very different game than that of Call of Duty and I can see how some people may struggle to adapt or just simply not get into the game. It is definitely not a pick up a play type title. I've been playing Battlefield since the first game (1942) well over a decade ago and even I struggle today. Best thing to do is play with a bunch of friends, have fun and you'll soon pick up the general gist and how to go about matches. All eyes will be on Sledgehammer and the next Call of Duty soon. They will be looking over their shoulder at the likes of Battlefield and the prospect of Titanfall and with this being their first game; they will know what is expected of them. Ghosts may have proved unpopular for the dedicated community but it's not the end of Call of Duty and perhaps Ghosts being crap for many and the prospect of two major titles as competition; it may give the franchise a welcome kick up the backside.
  20. Commando's Collection £1.49 or £0.44p for each game. MOTO GP 2013 £9
  21. Didn't they do their Christmas special in March last year too?
  22. For me, COD Ghosts brought back all the negative aspects of the early games that I thought the series eradicated. Most of the issues that were prominent in the likes of MW2 were taken on board by developers from feedback generated by the community. The new IW don't seem to listen to the players whereas Treyarch have a much closer-knit relationship with gamers. After playing weeks of Ghosts, it felt like I was back in the old days for all the wrong reasons. MW2 was badly designed and proved a learning curve for future games (or so we thought) but it had many positives and could be forgiven for being a fairly new concept for console gamers. Ghosts had the negative points we've seen previous but there wasn't any redeeming features either. If it wasn't for Battlefield 4 or the prospect of Titanfall; I'd sift my way through to max prestige again probably on Ghosts but these two titles demonstrate the future of MP gaming and they are so ahead of Ghosts; I find myself wanting more these days. COD just feels like an old gen game of a bygone era.
  23. And that's because the game makes it noob-friendly in my opinion. The community was at its best with Black Ops 2 and morale was very high. Apart from the connection issues; it was a great COD but by removing all the things that made that game good in Ghosts; it's kinda killed it for me.
  24. China Rising Conquest on PC has somewhat disappeared from the servers too. I wasn't a fan of the pack but there's only so much OpLoc I can take
