  1. Found this on the Steam forums
  2. Many thanks for that Tommy! I will do indeed
  3. With games like this; if I don't get my foot in the door from day one; I feel like I'm lagging behind everyone else and have too much catching up to do. I've been wanting to get into the likes of LoL and DOTA2 for a while but just finding the time and determination to learn a whole new game and it's features can be tricky. I've played games before where I'm late to the party and just end up being clueless and useless. Lol is highly regarded so hopefully I'll be able to get into it and have some basic knowledge very soon but sometimes the prospect of other games on offer especially on PC just tempts me the other way. Hopefully we can get summat going soon and I'll do a bit of research to get some understanding.
  4. You're hooked already and will be wanting the Oculus Rift next.... I actually bought one of the cheap trucks to start (can't remember what make though) but as soon as I got my beasty loan in; I went for the most powerful Scania as they are by far the best and then gradually began to kit it out and uprade. All the trucks have the Speed Limiter equipped which caps the maximum speed at 55mph (I think) but if you disable this in the options menu and roll with the Scania down the German Autobahns; you can go insanely fast - I think I was doing 110mph once and the 19 hour trip from Poland flew by The Scania's are pretty expensive though and may seem a bit of a leap for beginners so it's worth sampling some of the lower-end trucks and build up gradually to the beasts like the Scania FH.
  5. That's some rotten luck Joe If it's not often you see glitched games especially from Ubisoft
  6. Good stuff! Yeah, I did a load of quick jobs, made a few pounds and then just grabbed a large loan to get the business up and running. I think it's one of the best and most successful games ever to hit Steam - it's a great balance between fun and realism with a really good career mode and a title that you can just pick up and play. The price is incredible too!
  7. From what I remember; they said November last year that Heists would be available the following month; December 2013 and we didn't get them on the 360/PS3. It all went very quiet after that until the summer when Rockstar once again confirmed/promised that Heists would finally be here in June. Once again it all went quiet and instead we got some shitty free cosmetic DLC instead. Soon after the PS4/One/PC versions are in the works and Heists once again comes out of the woodwork but people are then forced to buy the game again which was even more expensive than the original last year to get the best possible experience for something that was supposed to be guaranteed a release this time last year. I don't think they've intentionally withheld it but the communication and broken promises has been a frustrating saga to say the least. Heists has massive potential as a concept if they get it right and will add a new dimension to the games on the current gen and PC but the whole situation over the entire year has left a few people let down. Still not having a release date doesn't fill me with confidence and I'd really like to know from Rockstar what has gone wrong with it seeing that last year it was 3 weeks away from a confirmed release and then it all went quiet for 7 months then disappeared once again.
  8. How you finding ETS2 Jordie?
  9. 2018
  10. Just bought it! It was great on the PS4 and I thought I'd give it a go again. I've added Flight Sim X to my library to go with Hotline Miami. Will probably pick up Dark Souls 2 and Mark of the Ninja tomorrow. My wallet has already taken a hit and we still have two weeks to go
  11. Cheers Phil! Got plenty of time to sort summat out anyway. I'll keep checking the official site for ticket news and on-sale dates over Christmas. I used my membership to get the Arsenal 2nd leg tickets (a tout for the final ) but if I remember rightly; the first leg against Burnley back in 09 went on general sale and the home leg for Sheff Utd is the first fixture on the 19th too by the look of things so they might do again depending on demand but we shall see indeed..
  12. I may pop down for the semi's depending on work. I have a bloody good record at the Lane this stage of the competition seeing Spurs beat Arsehole 5-1 and Burnley 4-1 I'm hinting for Phil to buy me a ticket, transport and hotel for the game
  13. I've snapped up Hotline Miami finally Still toying with the idea of Flight Sim X but it's the vanilla version from 2006 and I'm 8 years behind in the modding scene and the game doesn't have a workshop MGS Ground Zeroes is a very good entry-level sale price at £11.39 so I recommend that as a warm up for MGS V and there's plenty of hours of fun to be had even if it's been described as a 'demo' *edit just seen Phil has bought MSG GZ and FSX
  14. Great game Jordie! Hope you bought the Gold Edition for £2.99 with the Going East DLC
  15. Steam Christmas Sale has started! A few picks: Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes £11.38 Dark Souls 2 £11.09 Civ Beyond Earth £17.99 Euro Truck Simulator 2 £2.24 Flight Sim X £3.99 State of Decay £3.74 Rome II Total War Emperor Edition £7.49
  16. Good win last night Phil Sheff Utd in the semi's too!
  17. This movie is a step too far and should never have been commissioned. I don't think any country in the world would appreciate seeing their leader being mocked in such a fashion even if it is for comedy. They probably should have gone down the fictional route with a slapstick spin or gone historical as opposed to focusing on a current leader of a very dangerous and secretive country whilst adding a certain element of realism and dumbing down a very powerful person for financial gain outside of that country.
  18. The PS4 version is the the same as the old gen except for the enhancements and first person mode. All the DLC so far (I think) has been free but it's all been for the MP. Heists and future content will also be free but I've seen rumours that the main game will have paid DLC sometime in the future amounting to a new story within San Andreas. Bit like what they did with The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony for GTA IV.
  19. I have Diablo 3 for PC and it's great fun. Lots of replay value and really enjoyable combat. Great with other players too plus on the console version; I think you can play with a pal on the sofa with an additional controller as well as partying up online.
  20. I have the game on the PS4 and it's still really good fun. The step-up in terms of visuals is fantastic and the first person mode adds a new dimension to the gameplay although the mechanics are difficult when driving. Rockstar will be expanding and supporting the MP long into the future so it's a viable purchase even if you have no desire to sift through the story again. The game is fairly light-hearted compared to previous GTA's. I think people are over the GTA 'sickening' stigma of past and now fully appreciate how significant this brand is to the industry and how much fun there is to be had with it.
  21. Also the Steam market can be very lucrative. This POS weapon for CSGO sold for $295! Fuck knows why but loyal people buy this shite. The guy selling got a lucky case drop and then made a few hundred bucks for sod all. I made 12p on a gun once and thought I was the new Del Trotter Oh and for example; if you have a profile background for instance that currently sits at 10p in the market; you sell for 8p, it gets advertised at 10p and Valve make 2p as their cut. You can charge what you want but if you want it sold; you gotta really select the current price or even below.
  22. I also flog aimbots on the side and offer boosting opportunities for a small fee
  23. If you go into your Steam profile and select 'inventory', you'll see all items that you've unlocked including profile backgrounds and emoticons. You can sell these on the Steam market for real money. A good time is now because people are buying these and converting them into gems to use in the auction. I've raised nearly £4 on unwanted rubbish that has been sitting in my inventory for years. You only get 1-3p for the small items but can get 10p+ on things like the backgrounds. It just depends what the current price is in the market and what people are expecting to pay. The market is definitely worth exploring. The trading cards are for crafting badges to grow your Steam rank and get certain and perks and privileges such as discounts and profile enhancements. Go to your profile and select 'badges' and you can see how many cards you have in a set based on a game and how many you require to complete them. You gain XP for crafting a badge and any trading cards you don't have can be purchased on the Steam market from other users for a pittance.
  24. Finally! I'm going to trade in my PS4 copy soon and get the PC version then I'll be able to do Heists and modding and also modded heists
  25. Cannot wait for the Winter Sale to kick off and to get this shitty Steam Auction they've got running out the way. I've made nearly £4 from ridding some unwanted inventory items which will go towards the sale. Valve have done a masterclass in conning people with this Gem bidding as people are placing bids on games using gems they've bought valued at significantly greater than if they bought the game with real money. Some toolio bought CSGO on the first day of the auction for £60 worth of gems I got the game in the last Winter Sale for £2.99! Dark Souls II better finally get a reduction as it's been full price since release.
