  1. I'd probably get a PC as there are thousands of games to choose from and all cheaper by a mile. I'd get a PS4 definitely sometime down the line when they are cheaper and there are a bigger selection of games available. I got mine a year ago and even to this day; I still feel like I jumped the gun by getting it so soon. I've saved about £300 on PC games already the past 12 months so it's definitely worth exploring getting a PC.
  2. Only just seen this comment now as the thread has been bumped up but I completely agree Cal! I really didn't enjoy the base game of GTA IV - annoying characters, some lackluster missions and a really drab backdrop but The Ballad of Gay Tony was a really humorous and colourful addition with enjoyable missions and a likable cast. Hope GTA V also gets an additional story campaign on top of what was already a great narrative
  3. The Evil Within £11.90. Offer ends Monday
  4. Some great choices there from everyone If you like GTA, Red Dead Redemption is an amazing sandbox game - basically GTA in the wild west . Saints Row 1-3 are more of a semi-serious GTA but are exceptionally good fun and offer some hilarious gameplay moments and customisation depth. Mass Effect 1-3 offer an astonishing story and hundreds of hours of play time and the Batman games are like playing in a movie. Although it's not a sandbox title; The Last of Us is one of the greatest games I've ever played. Plenty of choices for you to explore though Kent.
  5. Ooooh that's brave going onto a PvP so early on - I chose a Bulgarian med pop server and after 15 minutes of running and collecting berries; I found a road and some random town where me and this other guy were trying to contain the influx of zombies. To cut a long story short; he survived and I didn't http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/535135100395858445/52223B7B67BE17FF1D3CC27F80C7D95DBD24CE6E/ Also found a jeep hidden in the woods but that needed spark plugs and a battery to get going It's hard to tell which places have been looted because there is no indication like we see on DayZ - if a door is open; you can gauge that someone has stripped the joint but on this game, the doors don't open and there is no visual indication if somebody has been there. I think this game could be really good fun for randomness and messing about. It's gonna be interesting to see the updates and how the game grows. Later I'm going to find an appealing server with my preferred rule set and try and stick on it.
  6. I was a bit merry to say the least and managed to catch up with some friends who I hadn't seen for a long time and then the rounds of drinks started flowing and before I knew it; I was plastered Even saw my Didcot Town scarf I donated a decade ago up on the wall still going strong from the FA Vase final at the lane I think Spurs will progress to the final but they did make hard work of it when they could have earned a sizable advantage last night. Poch will have to play his strongest XI I think just to be sure. Southampton got beat up there with their best team and after last night; United can't be underestimated. I must have walked up about two miles of stairs yesterday
  7. Just got the game today and managed to get into a EU server right away. Looks like they've fixed that issue as there were plenty of servers available and had a good range of server types with different rule sets. Walked around for 25 minutes and found a knife and quite a few zombies in a town I eventually stumbled upon. Found a pistol with no ammo and a few fringe items. The map lacks a real identity so far and just feels a bit characterless but you get the feeling that there is mostly placeholders in play at the minute and every aspect will be tweaked/improved. I died after getting overrun by zombies for my first life but wasn't really trying much - just getting used of the basics but I'll hope on again a bit later and try and learn a bit more from the game.
  8. I picked this up a few weeks back for £6.49 in anticipation for the game going F2P. It's probably not even worth my time playing but I may give it a go.
  9. My presence earned a 1-0 win in what I must admit was a fucking awful game I've been to two cup semis in recent years; 5-1 v Arsenal and 4-1 against Burnley so I could be forgiven for putting a tenner on Spurs grabbing a 6-1 victory but it was a much harder game than anyone was expecting and at times United had their half chances. I haven't seen the highlights but the handball looked hillarious as McEveley seemed to scoop the ball up volleyball-slapping style Spurs seemed to either want to pass it to death Arsenal style or be overly-direct and neither style seemed to pay off until the penalty out of nowhere. Even Spurs's best players didn't really shine tonight which was a shame but credit does have to go to the visitors and Sheffield United are somewhat cup specialists after knocking out Southampton and being FA Cup semi finalists last year. I had a good day though;- spent about 5 hours in the Bricklayers camped out while it was absolutely freezing. Did have a quick browse of how the redevelopment of the ground is coming along and the Lilywhite House building looks impressive and I see the foundations are dug for the building work to commence. They certainly have demolished a fair portion of houses to get that space but it was a shithole so who cares My biggest gripe was my seat - restricted view...of the ground and not the pitch but it didn't make the most pleasant viewing although the penalty was down that end. Any future I'll be sticking to my guns and going lower park lane or shelf side in front of the poles. At least I chalked off the fact of sitting in every stand and tier now in the whole ground Excuse the crappy quality - I was pissed and my iPhone is old
  10. I really enjoyed the first game on the 360 - great co-op shooter. If you can accept the artistic backdrop and style; it's a fantastic series. The Pre-Sequel was 50% off on Steam but I opted not to get it at this time but will certainly look to pick it up in the coming months. If the developers went and actually made a more serious RPG without the humour or cell-aesthetics; they could probably go on to make a very appealing title - I think many are put off with the graphics right off the bat. They certainly have the foundations to create something monumental but I don't think it lies in the Borderlands series.
  11. It's funny because Oxford had them in a pre-season friendly in 2003 in what was deemed possibly 'their last ever football match' until Abramovic bailed them out a few weeks later from Ken Masturbates. They had about 600 fans for their big game and after Roman had scouted out 4 other teams including Spurs and Arsenal; he chose Chelsea in what was his last choice on this money laundering hit list. They couldn't even fill out Stamford Bridge even for their big games against massive teams like Crystal Palace and Wimbledon back in the day They will always be a channel 5 team in my eyes and anything they've won in the last 10 years; they have bought Same with Man City - back in the 90's; that was a 6pts easy for Oxford and we were City's big day out. Even we were a league above them back in the late 90's and now they're the champions and in the CL but they still can't sell out their ground even against the likes of Bayern Munich with BOGOF tickets. Pathetic really
  12. Zombies trailer
  13. Good to hear Phil! Are the server queues still an issue? I heard SoE were ramping up their EU server quantity this week but unsure if it's done yet. Loot still needs much work though from what I've read.
  14. Ah no worries Phil - I'm sure I'll be down again this season and hopefully an afternoon game without work the next day! I've got my old Spurs coat from 2008 that is incredibly warm and I even wear it to some Oxford games too I've dug out a scarf from the 2009 Carling Cup Final which I don't remember buying but I will wear that too. All I gotta worry about now is what skirt to wear
  15. Pretty cool illusion that's gonna explode the internet....and your brain!
  16. I've re-pasted it in Tommy - try that one
  17. It would be appropriate if the hackers were called Karma Chameleon
  18. ROFL http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-30896765 #rekt
  19. Anyone interested in this game? Comes out a week on Friday and it does look like it'll be good fun. Not sure if the narrative or characters will be much cop but the mechanics look pretty good as does the visuals. Just unsure if it's worth it at full price..
  20. Ah good stuff Phil! Keep me posted
  21. Unrelated to story but this is some pretty gripping stuff!
  22. 30 minutes and I was sick of it The combat feels so bland and boring when compared to the fast, fun, frenzied and funny mechanics we see in L4D2. It just feels like a shallow FPS lacking in content from the off. I can't see many sticking at it long and I don't think many people will grind out being a monster game by game as that aspect on your own is a yawnfest. £35-50 is a ludicrous price too - £15 tops and I'd still struggle to justify a purchase. If only Turtle Rock were still operating with Valve and the HL dev kits. Shame Valve don't like the number 3 really - Half Life 3, Portal 3, TF3 and L4D3
  23. I played the Resident Evil reboot on there which is where the PC HD Remaster stems from and it was mindblowing back then so I'm really looking forward to playing this on Steam. Hopefully they'll remaster Resident Evil 0 (Zero) which was a Gamecube 'exclusive' back then too - few rumours suggesting this might happen also.
  24. Did you play the Gamecube version too Phil?
  25. I still haven't bought it! I've never been so torn between getting a game and not especially with Resi Remastered out tomorrow. I desperately want to buy H1Z1 but something is holding me back... I'm sure i'll end up biting the bullet and buying it sometime this week though!
