  1. Them moving away from the typical 3 lane design is the best news I've heard in years in the franchise. Three lane maps severely limit playstyles and usually all play the same in terms of an twitchy arena shooter. Most of these maps you couldn't even snipe as intended and had to quickscope. I'm looking forward to playing on a variety of maps with different sizes. It's going to be fun battling for key buildings and general spots again. The 3 lane design philosophy was becoming so outated and uninspired that we haven't had a memorable map since Black Ops 2 and I'm so glad Infinity Ward with their experience know what they are doing.
  2. New footage and a special announcement incoming at Gamescom tomorrow. Rumours suggesting we may be getting an early 2v2 gunfight beta next weekend [NOW CONFIRMED] Hope to see some campaign and special ops tomorrow.
  3. I saw the 'handball' incident and it was a complete joke. This wasn't entirely down to VAR - this was the new kneejerk UEFA rules that were implemented to justify fatal errors made in the world cup final, champions league final and other major matches. Giving a handball that leads to a goal even if its totally unintentional is not right especially in yesterday's game. There is absolutely no logic in this law and its things like this which is killing the fun out of football. Nobody even noticed the handball but VAR once again had to check thin air and then the draconian laws had to be obeyed when the ball merely brushed the arm.
  4. Man City rekt again by VAR in the last minute against Spurs at home😂
  5. Any info about maps just chuck in here. Game Informer have just released a video on Grazna Raid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2ecaXSIA7I

  7. Even Boogie went from a respected person to a shady piece of shit over the years. There is an interesting insight into his life in this (long) documentary which is worth watching. I don't usually watch these 'exposed' videos but after seeing so much dodgy behaviour from him as time wore on, I thought it would be nice to see it all compiled. This video didn't even mention the BetterHelp scam he participated in against his very own vulnerable subscribers. He pretended he was treated online for mental health problems along with many other scummy YouTuber's who all mysteriously became depressed all on the same day and they were cured in miracle fashion through this company with which was nothing more than a scam as he received a backhander for the advertising. I actually forgot this guy existed of late but he appeared in an AngryJoe video yesterday and the shit really hit the fan with him being in it.
  8. Lead producer of Anthem Ben Irving has left BioWare after 8 years of service. Be interesting to see whether they try and salvage something by installing a new producer with a fresh perspective or if they'll just pull the plug altogether. It'll probably be the latter especially as it's EA.
  9. That's a pretty simple and good idea! Dunno why IW would explore something like this rather than going for the outline option which is just more work for an end-result that could look a right old mess.
  10. I usually learn the maps and only use the minimap for chasing orange dots in the end. It's removal, even with bigger and more complex maps isn't going to be that devastating but not knowing where my teammates are could be an issue and is the most overwhelming complaint from people that have experienced the game hands-on. IW are talking about implementing a outline overlay through walls but that would make the interface horrible to look at especially in 10v10+ matches. I think they would just be best putting the standard UAV in the game - developers never seem to realise that in games like this, 95%+ are casual players and largely running solo without (serious) communication. After the SATCOM controversy in Ghosts, I'd rather they just kept it standard like the rest of the game rather than experimenting with something significant like this especially on a far more complicated backdrop.
  11. Twitch actually banned Drift0r after he switched😂 Salty as fuck
  12. I quite like Jack especially after what happened to him against Birmingham but his record is unfortunate and rather amusing. He's definitely not to blame for it though.
  13. A good old friend of mine became addicted to Championship Manager 3 back in the day. I didn't see him through the entire summer holidays which was weird because we always played tennis and this was before phones were a big thing. I decided to finally go round his house and found he completed 144 seasons starting at Oxford and finishing in the Hungarian league. He carried on until his hard drive caught fire and he had to throw the CPU out of the window into his back garden😂 I started with Championship Manager 2, then 97/98, Championship Manager 3, 00/01, 01,02 then CM4. Once SI left the CM brand, I kinda lost interest although I did get the first FM manager and then another one around 2009. Great games but I just don't have the time like I used to. I may however get the new one coming out. I also enjoyed LMA Manager and Premier Manager on console.
  14. Jack Grealish: 19 Prem defeats in a row😂 That looks like this - LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
  15. Looks like they are making more money on loot boxes than ever now even after all the controversy and them not even being on sale in some countries. Also bear in mind a large chunk of their income is from a game that's widely recognized as being shite and has an exceptionally low population. The remaining people in these games must be spending on average some serious money and sadly it is those customers Activision care about rather than how many and who bought the game itself. They made £50 out of me with Black Ops 4 but a regular player still playing 8 hours a day today may have spent £500+. If only the COD community would stand up to this practice like the SWBF2 lot then it would radically change how Activision did things for the better but the COD community for some reason loves spending big money on crappy guns for annual games.
  16. What an embarrassment Twitch has become Twitch backtrack after Ninja porn controversy WWW.BBC.CO.UK Streaming platform Twitch's boss apologises after pornography is hosted on Ninja's former channel. Let's not forget, this is supposed to be a reputable global company yet it seems to be ran by salty babies.
  17. Man Utd flattered or were Chelsea well and truly battered? Either way, it could be a difficult season for Che(at)lsea with no transfers.
  18. Yeah, it has its own versions of games and gamers usually only play a select few rather than a range of titles over there. Chinese gamers also usually spend long periods gaming, mostly for the benefit of in-game items to sell and a lot of them relentlessly cheat for whatever reason. Tenecent own a large holding of a lot of these popular games over there and they have their own breed of customers who expect certain things from products. If you gave them a game like God of War or some shitty mobile game where you could drop items, they'd probably choose the latter to play.
  19. I wonder what will happen if a console player using a M+K opts out of crossplay? There seems to be a growing number of tryhard sweaties on R6 Siege using the mouse/keyboard on console plus in COD, there's so many players using heavily modded controllers that removes recoil and enhances aim assist. There will also be PC cheaters using aimbots with controllers so they match on console which could be another big issue. IW may have a tough job on their hands and there's not much they can do. Keeping cheats on PC out of the mix is the priority and then I'd just hope not to run into the g-fuel $250 eBay modded controller mafia.
  20. I think it's purely input-based so if you opted in on console, you'd only face PC players using controllers.
  21. I believe some weapons were pay to win and others you had to even pay money via a pass just to become eligible to unlock them in supply drops or unlock them via long-term challenges. The game just got greedier as it progressed and I think Activision were basically using it as a testing product/platform for future microtransaction formats. I believe there is a lot more 'pay to win' weapons out there than people would believe though - regardless of what the in-game weapon stats say, some I'm sure are more powerful under the hood than their free or more common counterparts.
  22. Trent Alexander Arnold was at the Oxford game today. I think were on the verge of making an overly-ambitious loan move for him😎
  23. Brutal! You would get away with this in most countries
