I bet Activision will make that overlay and any others a recognised cheat so ironically users of that will get banned from the game. That would be the most typical thing they would do.

There's a few others and I'm sure many more will pop up but Activision will likely dish out some cease and desist orders or just shut them down in tandem too. They may even restrict the API which could impact eSport sites and even in-game data but it depends how much they are willing to cover up this issue. This site was very well known and growing whereas the others aren't so Activision may hope it fizzles out or they have a bit of time to monitor and see if the others pose a threat. I think one of the big factors going forward will be information ease of accessibility - if a site could integrate a plugin or have an app running where the user could get instant information whilst in-game then they may make some serious fast steps. It's so pathetic because if they just honored the very rules they created regarding reverse boosting then the game would be great to play and fair.

It's done So Activision implements SBMM and then takes down a website using its public tool to show which accounts abuse/cheat it which is a reportable offence!? Logic.

Activision have demanded that the SBMM Warzone website shuts down despite it using the public API tool to generate its information. They are basically protecting users who abuse the matchmaking process - seeing that's most of their content creators, I can see why.

There is a multiplayer beta next month for Resident Evil: Re:Verse which is free for owners of Village. I am still honestly baffled as to why they are putting an MP component in the game. It'll be DOA and a complete waste of development time. It's not like it's going to generate any revenue or challenge the likes of Dead By Daylight. Re:Verse also seems to be deathmatch-oriented so right off the bat it is going to be a stale concept. The beta will probably get more players that the final game and there will probably be less than 1500 globally after 3 days on all systems. Complete waste of time.

This game is definitely worth a look - Spintires was a very unique game a few years ago and Mudrunner was an impressive follow-up. The newest game SnowRunner which has been out a year is also growing immensely in popularity. These are driving-based games that simulate physics to an incredible accuracy with some astonishing attention to detail. You have to navigate your way through all sorts of tricky terrain and it's very challenging. Co-op can also be played too which adds a lot more to the experience.

Yeah, apparently if you're playing on PS5, you must not do the upgrade and then you can still play with other PS4 users using that version on the new console. Makes sense because the PS5 version has some extra elements such as new animations, celebrations and other gameplay factors so it wouldn't be technically possible to cross-gen this way. PS5 version is basically a different game whereas most other PS4 titles that you can 'upgrade' just benefit visually or in performance rather than in-game aspects.

Did not see this coming Pre-purchase Total War: ROME REMASTERED on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM Total War: ROME REMASTERED lets you relive the legacy that defined the award-winning strategy game series. Remastered to 4K with multiple improvements to visuals as well as refinements to gameplay... This was an extraordinary game back in the day that really propelled the series spanning over 20 years. Shogun was a great introduction but this was the game that really did it for me. It'll be interesting to see if it stands the test of time and can be brought up to date without losing the original feel. 50% off to owners of the original so that's just £12.49 for me!

Managed to grab a £20 copy of FIFA 21 (PS4 disc) which gives you a free upgrade for the PS5 version - just install the game and then download the free update on top. Not a fan of FIFA these days but the attention to detail and overall presentation is really sublime especially in the lower leagues.

Cyberpunk Apology and Refunds

Lead Gameplay Desginer has left after 8 years of service yesterday. Too bad the actual gameplay in Cyberpunk is over 8 years out of date as it is. 4 months on and still no sign of this game returning to the PS Store. I think they'd be better off taking the hit on the old gen and then trying to reclaim sales through 'Definitive'-type editions down the line. Nobody who refunded £50/£60 will pay that rate if the game does become relisted so their best bet is to develop proper next gen versions try and claim that amount of money 18 months down the line. They will need to overhaul and develop so much that I'm not sure it will even happen. The patches have been slow and mediocre and this has further been hampered by an ongoing ransomware attack. Total shit show. -

Played the PS5 Maiden demo earlier and it was a good experience. Running at 4K 60fps and HDR which was very nice and there are some outstanding texture and detail work. Does feel a lot like Resident Evil 7 in terms of the mechanics but I'm liking the setting and characters. Not sure if I'll pay full whack but I'll definitely pick up the full game sometime down the line.

Anyone watch this? I manage to catch it now and then and it's a great show - basically contestants are tasked with creating common and legendary weapons from knives, swords, katanas to even scythes and these are then pitted off against each other in a form of strength and durability tests. You get to see how the weapons are crafted and how they would perform in certain situations. Well worth a look and here's a snippet from one of the episodes

Even winning the League Cup now would feel pretty meaningless unless a top 4 place can be achieved. The players seem disinterested and completely unmotivated right now and if they carry this into the final then it'll be an easy win for City especially with the form they are in. Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 Tottenham🤣 Mourinho is done, not just for Spurs but in top flight and European football in general. Pitiful football and easily the most embarrassing result for Spurs in the last 15 years. Imagine losing to a team who's manager has just been jailed for 4 years in this fashion!
