Great last few games though, I really thought for a second Liverpool were going to clinch it, but in typical Man City fashion they came back and thrashed them.
 
Congratulations for Son and Salah being top goal scorers. Son doing so without a single pen which I though was impressive, but of course impressive for both. And Ronaldo coming 3rd which @tronic44 pointed out in the WhatsApp is an amazing achievement with Man United.

Insane day of football and although it finished as expected, the way it played out was pretty insane. Gerrard blows it again for LIverpool, this time as a manager🤣 Relieved Spurs got 4th and all those nerves this week were pretty much not warranted in the end - I was dreading a 1-0 defeat for some reason. Leeds probably did deserve to stay up despite a woeful season because the FA made them play many games with covid absences yet Arsenal had one case and they got the Spurs game postponed - something they really regretted as they had a weaker team available come the rearranged fixture! 

Hoping Spurs kept lasagne off the menu last night 👍

Kylian Mbappe signs 3 year contract with PSG after all that moving drama. I bet Real Madrid are peeved! Not sure why he wanted to stay in the French League - I know there's been some recent political pressure from Macron and Qatar but even so, he's signed away any chance of developing further on the European stage and will remain in a one-horse race league. 

I think Arsenal were looking at him as well.

Obviously one of the big ones in Haaland to City. However I think Newcastle are going to make a few big waves and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a few big six teams making big money signings too!

Yeah, Spurs beat City home and away this season and LFC couldn't get a win against Spurs either. But yes I agree, they're a dodgy lasagne away from CL now...but I'll wait to see what happens 🙂

CoD will always have a big pool of players, so it would be nice for them to experiment with:
 
Casual Core - CBMM Casual Hardcore - CBMM Competitive Core - SBMM Competitive Hardcore - SBMM  
On a game that still gets bought by the millions, splitting the pools like would get the desired effect. I don't want to be stomped all the time and would rather see how well I can do, but I also understand when we just wanna have a laugh and kick back in some random casual modes where games can be all over the place. Overwatch has it, Rainbow 6 has it, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same here.
 
P.S. Obviously SBMM in those modes above could have some element of connnection based checks so you aren't playing a random thats on a ridiculously opposite ping to everyone else perhaps.

Perhaps a better Skill-based match making system could help? I've never though COD has been great in that department.

I agree with a lot that's being said here. Especially @techno  for the game should always be about connection rather than ability.
 
Was great way back in MW2, BO1 and 2 when you built up a nemesis and trying to top the lobby when it didn't used to disband after each game. Felt like something else to play for like a side or mini game. 
 
James makes some excellent points about SBMM. Having played a lot of the recent Cods and experiencing affected gameplay. 
 
I remember on Cold War in particular doing really well and I swear this is not bullshit. Playing really well at the start of the game and then dying. 
That's not the part, after respawning after death I charged back for a revenge kill. And this particular incident happened 2-3 times on separate occasions. 
I remember launching a semtex and I swear as I threw it the aim gittered off at the last second and hit a wall and nearly got me killed. 
 
I wanted to blame it on stick drift or give the benefit of the doubt, but it happened in a few selective circumstances after I was decimating the other team and then suddenly I don't know how to use a semtex. 
I can launch a semmy on raid across the map and stick people successfully and consistently off the rip at the start. I'm well aware of aim and distance, but just these incidents were extremely fishy. 
 
Other times I've noticed aim or bullets going off for no reason at all, or losing a crucial gunfight I thought I was going to win 100%
Definitely a lot of manipulation going on to stop you having "Too good a time". 
I think I noticed it in Cold War the most out of the last 3 titles. 
I don't mind getting whooped if I deserve it, but please don't punish me for doing well... That's beyond ridiculous behaviour! 

I like the way Rocket League does it — they have a Casual match making playlist and a Competitive one.

SBMM has it's place but it shouldn't be the defacto matchmaking.  SBMM was introduced as a way to increase enjoyment and stop noobs getting stomped but all it seems to have done is make sweatier lobbies.  Sure in the (original) MW and MW2 days you'd get stomped occasionally but equally you would occasionally stomp too so it all evened out.

How about simply having connection based matchmaking and then a ranked playlist?
