  1. Good
  2. Trust your instincts on this one, avoid it
  3. Decent game, very Diablo/ Torchlight esque The entire franchise is on sale currently. I have only played 1 and 2, but will pick up the third here soon. WARNING: It is insanely GPU intensive, I don't know why the dev's didn't optimize it better, but it is still worth the purchase.
  4. They could have nerfed all of it from what I remember. The thing with Grasp, is it slows and its a damage over time, put Acid cloud into it, and you have more damage, all while your dogs are chewing on the bad guys. So while the damage is small, it does stack with everything else in the area. Also, blowing up your dogs is like a last resort, but it was a viable tactic back in the day. Also the Cooldown on dogs seems longer now than it was before.
  5. So Season 2 just got put on Netflix today. My son and I are binge watching it, I know a few of you guys watch the show as well, so I figured I would start a thread
  6. Some companies have raised prices on games right before today's sale. Be careful when buying http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/39gi24/xpost_rsteam_some_companies_are_raising_prices_on/ That thread details a lot of it
  7. Looking at the skills as I unlock the runes, I want to say I went with this: Darts - Flaming Dart rune (Setting shit on fire is handy until you hit the demon levels, they still take damage, only slightly less than normal, not enough to make you change the rune though) Grasp of the Dead - Death is Life Rune (As it damages it drops health and summons more dogs. This was OP as hell at release, and I attribute it how I beat Diablo so quickly. That was 2 years ago though, no idea how good it si now) Zombie Dogs - ??? Sacrifice or Soul Harvest. I remember exploding my dogs a lot once they got surrounded, not 100% though as the Int buff is nice on Soul Harvest. I most likely changed it a lot depending on the situation Acid Cloud Gargantuan (Big Bad Voodoo when grouped) You can target Acid Cloud directly over your Grasp of the dead, just hit one, and then the other on the same mob. Stand back spamming darts while your pets run around fighting. Sacrifice your dogs as you need to for bosses, and then re-summon. I don't recall the cooldown being that bad when I did this before. As always, stack INT gear! I will post specific runes where not mentioned as I unlock them
  8. you need to buy a shit ton of that game. Share it with everyone, and reaps the extra steam dollars lol
  9. I don't enjoy hunting oddly enough, but I LOVE the art of Shooting, and practicing at a range. Especially distance shooting. But hunting, nope, not for me, I'd rather just head on down to the grocery store
  10. https://steamdb.info/sales/ Use that, so you dont' have to fight with bad connections unless you are actually buying something
  11. LOL I know what you meant, but my brain flashed to the old Dictator of Haiti that went by the same name. Damn a Grill n Shoot sounds fun. I haven't put a round through my 30.06 in about 10 years now. I just take it out and clean it and then put it back.
  12. I love classic horror films, and his roles in all the old cheesy British horror flicks from the 60s and 70s were amazing. Also his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes was good stuff as well. Here is his IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000489/?ref_=nv_sr_1 I am really hoping that Netflix pulls all of his classics and puts them into one place, I have a hankering for some old Horror flicks He was amazing as Saruman, equally as memorable as Heath Ledgers portrayal of the Joker. I don't want to say he was born for the role, but I cannot think of any other actor that will be able to reprise that role and make it as memorable. Hell, even the Lego Saruman in the Lego LOTR game is amazing, and thats only his voice.
  13. Keep in mind that I play most all Ranged classes like this; but yes, you should not be near combat, it is why you have so many pets and stuff to jack with folks. That being said in Diablo 3, I am NOT a master of all classes, I am just going off the little time I have played each class, and other games like Diablo 3. Witch doctors and Sorcerers are to me the epitome of "Glass Cannon", they can knock the shit out of anything, but do not let them get touched, as they break. Oh wait I just remembered something that got me through a ton of fights. There is a spell that you get, where you can phase out and become a ghost for a bit of time to regen health and mana. I will look up later what it is called. Hell, I might just reroll my WD to get better answers for you later on tonight
  14. http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/jun/11/christopher-lee-dies-at-the-age-of-93-dracula Sir Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93 after being hospitalised for respiratory problems and heart failure. The veteran actor, best known for a variety of films from Dracula to The Wicker Man through to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, passed away on Sunday morning at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, according to sources. The decision to release the news days after was based on his wife’s desire to inform family members first. The couple had been married for over 50 years. As well as his career in film, Lee also released a series of heavy metal albums, including Charlemagne: The Omens of Death. He was knighted in 2009 for services to drama and charity and was awarded the Bafta fellowship in 2011. His film career started in 1947 with a role in gothic romance Corridor of Mirrors but it wasn’t until the late 50s, when Lee worked with Hammer, that he started gaining fame. His first role with the studio was The Curse of Frankenstein and it was the first of 20 films that he made with Peter Cushing, who also became a close friend. “Hammer was an important part of my life, and generally speaking, we all had a lot of fun,” he said in a 2001 interview. Lee’s most famous role for Hammer was playing Dracula, a role which became one of his most widely recognised although the actor wasn’t pleased with how the character was treated. “They gave me nothing to do!” he told Total Film in 2005. “I pleaded with Hammer to let me use some of the lines that Bram Stoker had written. Occasionally, I sneaked one in. Eventually I told them that I wasn’t going to play Dracula any more. All hell broke loose.” In the 70s, Lee continued to gain fame in the horror genre with a role in The Wicker Man, a film which he considered to be his best. “Wonderful film... had a hell of a time getting it made,” he said. “Its power lies in the fact that you never expect what eventually happens, because everyone is so nice.” He went on to play a Bond villain in 1974’s The Man with the Golden Gun and turned down a role in Halloween, which he later said was one of biggest career regrets. In his career, he also turned down a role in Airplane!, something he also regretted. Christopher Lee as Saruman. Christopher Lee as Saruman. Photograph: EPA His concern over being typecast in horror films led him to Hollywood and roles in Airport ‘77 and Steven Spielberg’s 1941. His career saw a resurgence in 2001 with a role as Saruman in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and then as Count Dooku in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. He also became a regular collaborator with Tim Burton, who cast him in Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland and Dark Shadows. Burton went on to award him with a Bafta fellowship. The trailer of the 1958 film The Horror of Dracula starring Sir Christopher Lee In 2011, he returned to Hammer with a role in the Hilary Swank thriller The Resident although he generally tried to avoid the horror genre in later years. “There have been some absolutely ghastly films recently, physically repellent,” he said. “What we did was fantasy, fairy tales - no real person can copy what we did. But they can do what Hannibal Lecter does, if they’re so inclined, people like Jeffrey Dahmer and Dennis Nilsen, and for that reason, I think such films are dangerous.” After dabbling with music throughout much of his career, including a song on The Wicker Man soundtrack, Lee released his first full-length album Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross in 2010. It was well-received by the heavy metal community and won him the spirit of metal award at the 2010 Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony. His 2013 single Jingle Hell entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 22, which made him the oldest living artist to ever enter the charts. Lee still has one film yet to be released, the fantasy film Angels in Notting Hill, where he plays a godly figure who looks after the universe. He was also set to star in 9/11 drama The 11th opposite Uma Thurman but it’s believed that the film hadn’t yet started production. In an interview in 2013, Lee spoke about his love of acting. “Making films has never just been a job to me, it is my life,” he said. “I have some interests outside of acting – I sing and I’ve written books, for instance – but acting is what keeps me going, it’s what I do, it gives life purpose.”
  15. Last time I played as a witchdoctor passed level 20 was when it was first released on PC I need to look at the class again for specifics, but I do remember always hanging back and letting my abomination thing, and dogs kill everything for me. I vaguely recall using a dart or something. Let me load up a Witch Doctor later on and I will check it out for you. Other than that, just remember to stack the hell out of Intelligence. You do not need Str or Dex. A website out there had this on gear: Intellect > Crit Chance >= Crit Damage > Attack Speed I partially agree but want to check it out.
  16. Fixed that for you Also, yea, if you own a gun and you forget if it is loaded or not, then you don't deserve to own or carry.
  17. It helps folks push a narrative and keep ratings and web clicks up so ad-revenue doens't slide
  18. I have to admit that you lost me at Fox News Politics Sorry, I have to ask for a second source before reading further than that.
  19. Here are some tips I have gathered over the last few months when playing The game doesn't really open up until you hit Paragon levels which is right after level 70 Attack speed is > Critical Chance or Critical Damage bonuses for Melee classes! Crusaders are OP as fuck about 60% of the time you can trust the little blue and red arrows showing if gear is an upgrade or not. However watch your three stats pretty carefully, the arrows do not take into account other items you have equipped. So you might get a belt that is all blue up arrows, but when you equip it, your Atk/ Def/ Health pools actually drop. It's weird, I know. Max out the manufacturers ASAP. Then work on Upgrading your stash is until you hit about 130+ slots, then stop. Salvage EVERYTHING, never sell anything (not even the white shit) Gold drop % bonus > Pickup radius always Do not stand in the fire, or poison, or well hover if you can! Movement speed is important at Paragon levels Always feed the chain kills. That Exp bonus is awesome! Main stats for classes: Intelligence - Wizards and Witch Doctors Dex - Monk and Demon hunter Strength - Crusader and Barbarian Lastly: Blacksmith created items are always better than Drops.
  20. While the individual drive is important, also the purpose of the drive. Arguably, the purpose is the most important part, but that argument varies between admins of various networks
  21. Jsin nailed what I was trying to get across. Here is the thing, normal wear and tear on an SSD from most programs isn't an issue. However, Minecraft reads every block when you come to a chunk. A chunk is (16*16)*256 No granted most of that is compressed down, it is not actually reading every block, it is reading a compressed version.... Unless you are actively building and interacting with that chunk. In Vanilla MC this isn't much of an issue. In any modded pack though, this is HUGE. One of the main modpacks is Buildcraft2, that allows the user to build and place an automatic quarry. The quarry actively forces the chunks it is placed in to stay loaded, and then auto breaks and collects each one to dump into chests in another chunk. This is while the player is elsewhere doing whatever. That is a huge number of writes/ reads for an SSD. This is why most companies will never run Databases from an SSD, you always use some sort of spindle drive. The data access, and wear and tear is just easier to manage currently.
  22. Do NOT run or install minecraft on an SSD, from what I am reading, the number of writes and reads that happens everytime you interact with a chunk is insane. I can show you guys how to create symbolic links to trick MC into thinking it is in the default install location but on a different drive if you need me to.
  23. This is purely for the Walker portion
  24. Warning: NSFW language The Bladedancer that does it also recorded and released his footage to show he wasn't hacking:
