The number one issue I have seen is people not choosing the correct language setting when doing clean installs I will see what I can find about Nvidia though if you want.

    Windows 10

Other than power going out in the middle of the upgrade, I haven't had an issue yet. Going to check out some games today, and am reading up on a few things to disable and what not
  3. oh yea, good call. I didn't think about them

will do I set it to Download at 4pm this afternoon I will say this, my old PC and my Laptop are not giving me the option to update. I am having problems with both systems though, and will most likely just wipe them and start over. I need to shuffle a ton of music and movies though first. This was somewhat expected to be honest. Still though, I had forgotten about needing to do it until this morning when I went to grab Win10
  5. Sadly, most MMO's do not separate them. Actually I can't think of a single one that does
  6. I think all current weapons should be left alone. I also don't like the idea of ascending things passed a point.
  7. Going to pass on NF this week I think. I need a break from Destiny the more I think about it, and Mass Effect has grabbed my wife's attention again, so doing a 3rd playthrough currently
  8. Not sure if you guys enjoy this stuff or not, but I can post it up if so. EDIT: Forgot to add, I did NOT compile this, just resharing for you guys. The main "Take Aways" are this: Observations: A lot of stuff stood out to me, and I'm just going to write them in a list in no particular order: Hawkmoon -- In my original post, I wasn't sure if Bungie looked at only PlayStation players or both PlayStation and XBox players. From the data I pulled alone, I cannot tell, but there are two options. First, if they pulled on PS data, Hawkmoon is twice as potent as its usage would suggest. Second, if Playstation had around 10% Hawkmoon kills and overall it had 5% usage, that would seem to say Bungie pulled data from all players. Given the gun is only available on one console, this seems like shady tactic to me. It understates Hawkmoon's power and dilutes its kill numbers. Just look at the PlayStation only line in Chart #2. The Big Three -- The exotic hand cannons equated for over 56% of all primary kills. Three guns were over one-half of all primary kills. Three. Thorn -- Thorn had nearly twice the percentage of primary kills . . . as every other primary outside of the top tencombined. In a game of hundreds and hundreds of games, one gun constitutes more than twice the amount of total kills stemming from these guns. Thorn's kills were 40% higher than its usage. PlayStation users chose Thorn more than XBox users, which was slightly surprising to me (note to self: get an XB1 -- kidding, kidding). Its 35% kill rate was almost double what SUROS's percentage was in January of this year. XBox's "Hawkmoon Effect" -- Due to this rare bird not being on all consoles, Red Death and TLW figures are noticeably higher than on PlayStation consoles. Also, XBoxers used more Mythoclast, Juju, and the "other weapons" than PlayStation users. XBox easily had a more diverse weapon set than PlayStation. I figured they would just flock to Thorn, but that's not the case. Good for you XBox community. People Going Ham -- Guns like VoC, MIDA, and the "others" often got huge boosts from one guy in the game going absolutely crazy with it. Some people wound up with over 15 kills in games with these weapons. Game after game would pass with no usage of these weapons, and then one guy would dominate with it. It was really interesting to see. Messenger was the most used "other," but there were quite a few scout rifles and pulse rifles used in this category as well. Use Your Primary -- I wish I counted the number of Guardians who never registered a primary kill during a match. Needless to say, Bungie's special ammo changes did not do anything to stem the special-as-a-primary players. There were people scoring over 5,000 without a single primary weapon kill, not even the dominant ones. It was crazy to see. For confirmation, go look at Guardian.gg's overall stats -- two shotguns represent the third and fourth highest percentage of kills among all weapons. I knew people did it, but it happens a lot more than you'd think.
  9. I will be on at some point in about 3-4 hours if anyone wants to hit the NF then
  10. This is exactly it right here. If you can practice with it, and learn how the sights work, you will destroy anyone with Thorn. Thorn just forgives a lot of mistakes, but it isn't a better weapon by any stretch. I would arguably put up any of the Exotic hand cannons as better than it.

I will update as soon as it finishes downloading
  12. Hawkmoon is much more accurate than Thorn. It has a longer range, and hits harder. You just don't have the DOT. In Iron Banner, Hawkmoon does not one hit kill typically, but in regular crucible, you can rack up a ton of headshots with it for one hit kills. Also, in PVE, Hawkmoon > Thorn
  13. I'm in! Gotta represent with my Wales Flag!
  14. So that gif is from a movie that is getting ready to come out, I am totally going to watch that shit.
  15. NSFW but funny as hell http://i.imgur.com/Jng3yhx.gifv No nudity, but yea, work will probably frown on this.
  16. I haven't tried this on PC yet, but on PS4, it is loads of goofy assed fun
  17. I agree with this 100%, and it is why I rage against the current state of mental health care in the US whenever anyone gives me a chance. Everyone's life and health could improve by talking to a 3rd party professional about how they feel and think.
  18. Crazy! I had swords, armor, axes and what not coming out my ears! I play on whatever the default difficulty is
  19. So, 1.07 wiped out my progress so far. No big deal, I shouldn't have patched when I did; but it made me think that all of us have different play styles and could benefit from a thread like this. The battlefield near the starting town, where you get a side quest to locate a missing brother. Go there and keep going there until you have looted all of the dead. I want to say it took me 4 trips to loot everything, but it was well worth it as I am stocked up on crafting materials of all sorts now, and even got some decent armor out of it. (It was hideous armor, blue and white striped) There is a high level drowner near the crossroads. Do not try to fight it until you are around level 10. When in Combat, don't be afraid to run away and then come back. Don't be afraid to eat some raw meat in the middle of combat. Mainly just take your time, avoid guys with shields or zweihanders/ great axes Read Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are a lot of little things on the map that you should do. so explore all the things. Coupled with exploring is doing the side quests. In a lot of games you can skip them, not in Witcher. Also liberate towns, rebuild idols and monuments, etc.. Basically if an NPC is standing near something and wants to actually speak at you, then help them
  20. Howdy! (Talk about an intro! I feel like I am meeting you for the first time.) You sound like a shy person stuck in a rut, that is spiralling into depression. The good thing is you have spotted that you need help in dealing with this. I know you said you are shy, but I would look at maybe volunteering your time somewhere? If you are shy, you could maybe volunteer with a group that helps special needs kids. They "get" shy folks, they "get" folks that tend to dwell on things and what not. (Not saying you are special needs or anything like that, just that if you are around a bunch of folks that are similar, it could help you) Also, dogs and cats need help, perhaps volunteer with them?
  21. There isn't a release date yet
  22. You can read it for yourself here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2015/07/17/nerfing-gjallarhorn-and-thorn-is-the-exact-wrong-move-for-destiny/ The article makes a number of preliminary points which have already been stated repeatedly on this forum since the "Weapon Balancing" preview was released: 1) Bungie's annoying habit of removing any advantage the player base finds, in an attempt to force players to play Destiny "like it was meant to be played". 2) The fact that guns like icebreaker and Gjallarhorn wouldn't be as crucial to the game if most of Bungie's bosses weren't just bullet-spongy one-trick-ponies. But one thing in the article stood out to me, and I think it speaks to a lot of our frustrations: "I remember a GDC talk by Blizzard’s Rob Pardo where he outlined a concept any MMO designer should be familiar with. “Always balance up,” he said, talking about both World of Warcraft and Diablo 2 (this was a while ago). If you find something in your game that feels overpowered, that’s good. Players will enjoy it. The solution is never to remove that feeling of power, but to power up other things in the game to meet it." What Bungie could have done, and should have done, was to follow this simple rule of thumb from WoW and Diablo. Instead of nerfing the players' best PvE weapons since we're "using them too much", why not instead boost the damage output on the lesser used guns? Maybe players would choose to use our exotic slot on Lord of Wolves over Gjallarhorn on a Solar Burn strike if Lord of Wolves was buffed into a comparable weapon? Or maybe we would use a new TTK exotic over icebreaker if the new exotic had comparably advantageous perks. What Bungie has done is the exact opposite of this MMO rule of thumb - and it has lead to a ton of frustrated responses. Bungie - instead of trying to get players to use other guns by nerfing the weapons they've come to know and love, why not improve the large amount of shitty, "immediately-shard", guns in this game so players will have other options. Bungie: The update is not set to launch until September. Plenty of time to listen to player feedback on the projected changes, revisit your course of action, and change the direction you're steering Destiny. I would strongly recommend you listen to the playerbase and the advice of your peer developers in the MMO world.
