I don't think anyone would disagree when I say that has to have been one of our most successful nights especially with the play off's. We played 11 and won 11 which is brilliant so gg's guys!

@Antpool84 was literally on fire last night!! Couldn't put a foot wrong and they couldn't handle his runs, crosses or shots! Big up to Josh too, played a corker outfield for some games and I recall an incredible stop in goal when it was behind him. Ridiculous.

D-pad for the win! It was all down hill after that hatrick in game 1 😂

I would love one at launch but if the availability is similar to recent console releases I won't even bother to pick it up right away. I have enough to play on the current one that I could wait a little while.

Im excited for this! The switch is the console I play on most with my lad and it has been a struggle at times with the small screen and small controllers and I get mad hand cramps with these! 
 
A bigger clearer screen and slightly larger controllers will hopefully make it feel and play better for me personally. That's my excuse anyway when he smashes me every game at Mario Strikers haha

So my other hobby which has slackened off in recent years has always been reading. The past few weeks I have been nosing back through some of my books and realise I have a few now all related to video games. So I just thought I would start a conversation about them and see if anyone else has any recommendations?
 
So the first one I am going to talk about is 'A guide to Japanese Role-Playing Games', this is probably my go to book at the moment for a few reasons, the artwork is brilliant in there as well as the game screenshots but it really goes into depth with a lot of mainstream series but also some unknown or more obscure titles. It is also where I am getting my influence from currently for my video game collection 🙂
 
When I say it goes in depth it literally goes back to discussing how a video game was first conceived in some instances, the writing can be a little mixed as it is a combination of lots of writers putting together their thoughts, history and experience on each series and such. This leads to some cool little memories and such being talked about.
 
So yeah, if you enjoy JRPG's and enjoy reading this is probably the definitive guide for it.

CDs are coming back out for me. The ease of Spotify and streaming music is great for certain scenarios but if I'm chilling at home in the shed, then a CD in the background is a far better option as its a choice to do something you want to do specifically rather than get a curated playlist continually retune your needs.
 
 
ooo I'd love to see tapes make a comeback! Probably not worth the hassle unfortunately but would be ace to play on the odd occasion.
 
As we love games, I'll obviously say all my old consoles and handheld devices are a great alternative for an evening of gaming. Makes you appreciate the gaming industry, especially when lately it feels like new good games are a thing of the past.
 
Actually, to finish I'd also say one more thing...I got Hayley a Tamogochi for Christmas! 🤣 They were ace back in the day, just to pass abit of time. These days we use continuous never ending free games on our phone but this feels like a cool way to get off those things to help you back into the real world and not lose too much time into the those awful mobile games.
