Apparently the footstep audio for crouch walking was bugged in the beta as it should have been silent. Hopefully this gets fixed for the full game as it was stupid that you still made loads of noise.

Dave is winning again? How is this possible? There are far more famous people called Chris! Christopher Columbus, Saint Christopher, Kriss Akabusi (yeah it's spelt differently but it's still Chris), Kris Kross. The list goes on! How many famous Dave's are there? One: David Attenborough. Yeah admittedly he's an absolute legend and one of the greatest people to ever live, but you can't base this competition on one person. -
I wasn't overly impressed with the beta but I'll still get the game. Kill Confirmed will be in the full game which will make the game instantly much more enjoyable. Plus I only have a couple of days a week when I can play it so I won't get burnt out. I'm also looking forward to the campaign. It will be interesting to see if IW make any changes from the beta. Chances are they'll remain stubborn and refuse to fix the biggest complaints. It was the same with MW2019. It's pretty clear they favour campers (or fucking "sentinels" as they call them 🤣

Look at this absolute bullshit. Activating the DS Field Upgrade makes a noise that gives away your position.! Seems IW really hate players trying to be stealthy in this game.

The second weekend of the beta starts tomorrow (probably 6pm). This is open to everybody on Playstation and anybody that has pre-oredered on Xbox and PC. I'll jump on again and see how it plays after the changes they've made.

You need to get your hearing tested if you didn't hear it. You can literally track people's movement with footsteps.

Typical of IW to refuse to change things the community is unhappy with. They're the only dev team out of the 3 COD teams that do that. The mini map doesn't actually bother me. But refusing to put DS or Ninja as a perk could bother me depending on what footstep audio is like after the changes.

I'm done with the beta for now as well. I'll try it again next weekend to see if they add some new maps or modes. Hopefully they fix the bug where you can't unlock attachments for the AK74U.

The thing is I'm not actually a camper. I do move around but you just can't run around as much in this game. I'd love to be able to rush all the time but you can't so I'm just changing my play style.

I've played a few more games tonight. I'm definitely enjoying it more now I've got my eye in. I've found that running around like a headless chicken isn't the way to play. Using cover and being tactical* is the best way to play. *camping.

Hopefully that will improve tomorrow when the open beta kicks off and more people are playing. Or maybe you just need to git gud? 😬

They do listen to the community. The community that loves to sit in corners and camp. And that community said they love loud footsteps and a mini map that doesn't show your location when you fire a gun.

XclusiveAce early impressions. He says it seems like it'll be better than MW2019. Good: Maps are much better, the maps are more colourful and vibrant. You can now choose between killstreaks or scorestreaks. Gunplay is solid. Bad: Footsteps are very loud with no Dead Silence or Ninja as a perk. You can't cancel reloads. If you're a sweat who likes to slide all over the place like you've lubed your pants up then you can't slide cancel now. Also there's a new perk system where you choose 2 perks that are active straight away and then 2 more perks that get activated as the game progresses. Seems like an odd design decision.

Footsteps are still super loud and Dead Silence is a field upgrade again. But they also decided that it was a good idea to put Last Stand back into the game 😱

None of that shit. I got a £66 tax rebate so thought I'd buy this with it. I rarely buy games nowadays. I don't give a single shit about cosmetics. Literally a complete waste of money IMO.

After telling @Grebothnot to pre-order COD I've pre-oredered it myself. Digitally as well 🤷♂️ Am I a hypocrite? Absolutely. I'll happily tell somebody not to do something that I'll then do myself. Am I stupid? Maybe. After buying Blops Cold War, regretting my decision, and then saying I wouldn't do it again. I have, in fact, done it again. Just like Britney did. So I'm really REALLY hoping this game won't be shit. If nothing else the campaign will most likely be excellent. And I may get past level 30 in MP this time. Maybe.

Totally agree. I've said quite a few times recently that Sony are just fuckers for taking the piss. They increased the prices of games, increased the price of ps+ and now this. People just seem to defend them.
