  1. I haven't read much of anything in terms of reviews for Dark Tower, but I've seen headlines that the end is not overly pleasant for book fans.
  2. @SensaiNemesis did and has already capped his. I've been playing a witch doctor and agree that they are pretty similar.
  3. You and Chad should chat about Transformers...
  4. The only gripe I have so far is about Medusa's dress. I know it's her classic one, but could they not do something to modernise it a bit? I looks like a terrible mid-90's low budget sci-fi thing or something out of one of the Stargate shows (which I love, but this dress would still bother me there). Lockjaw looks so damn cuddly.
  5. The environment looks like Horizon Zero Skyrim.
  6. In the article they interviewed a resident from the 7th floor and he said he was woken up by people outside yelling, not by an alarm. Someone is (rightfully) going to get nailed to the wall for this. It, apparently, had passed all the fire and safety inspections, but someone missed something or a palm was greased a bit.
  7. The Macron ones look more organized, teamy, and overall sleeker.
  8. Ah! Guess I just really haven't been paying too much attention then. Ignore me lol
  9. What about Twitch? Is that something that can be integrated? Or would anyone even be interested in that at all?
  10. This is totally off topic and I apologise, but now I'm curious. What would happen if you tried to recreate Water World? Also could you, in fact, be bald with an eyepatch like Dennis Hopper?
  11. Hit the nail on the head.
  12. In episode three, that bank... that was filmed downtown Guelph, about 5 minutes from our house. Chad and I got a bit excited when we heard about that. We both loved the book, but are waiting until after the last episode comes out before we binge it. I'm was a little surprised that there's going to be a second season, seeing as it's a single book. However, after reading the episode synopses it doesn't seem like they'll be getting through the whole of the book in one season. Dark Horse is also publishing a comic of American Gods. So many ways to consume it, which is somewhat ironic considering the New Gods...
  13. There's a pretty number of characters to play. After the tutorial get receive enough eternity splinters to unlock one character. You can change to any character at S.H.E.I.D. HQ and play as them, but you can't change out characters when you're out and about unless you've unlocked them. There aren't really any support characters in the traditional sense. I've only played as Captain Marvel so far, and she has a self-heal you can use after a short timer. I assume other characters have it as well. There are also items to can equip that will also heal others a bit as well, but I'm unclear if it is only for party member or anyone friendly within range. There's a pretty good number of characters to play, some of which surprised us a bit, i.e. Angela (Chad was more surprised/impressed with this than I b/c I had no idea who she was. She was originally in Spawn if you are like me and unfamiliar with her) and Blade. It's a nice mix between characters seen on TV and in movies as well as those most people might not be as familiar with if they don't read comics. Full list: Angela Ant-Man Beast Black Panther Black Widow Blade Captain America Captain Marvel Colossus Cyclops Daredevil Deadpool Dr. Strange Gambit Ghost Rider Hawkeye Hulk Iceman Iron Fist Iron Man Jean Grey Kitty Pryde Luke Cage Magik Moon Knight Nova Psylocke Punisher Rocket Racoon Scarlet Witch She-Hulk Spider-Man Squirrel Girl Starlord Storm Thor War Machine Wolverine There's also multiple skins you can buy for everyone, though it does seem like they missed out on a couple skins that could have been great i.e. Captain Marvel and Storm. On the flip side, they also included skins for what people are used to seeing in current screen media as well as classic costumes (omg... Blade's original costume. Thank you Wesley Snipes for making it better). I'm not really one for microtransactions, but if I enjoy playing them enough I can see myself buying skins for Squirrel Girl's current costume, for Old Man Logan, and possibly Angela.
  14. I'm interested to see if the difficulty increases at all in a party, because the story missions feel a bit facerolly right now. I played two or three hours and got myself over level 20. The cap seems to be 60. Hopefully there's some endgame stuff as well, otherwise it's just a grindfest to level up all the heros and min-max gear. You can patrol midtown NY to level, get some gear (don't know how good it is at higher levels), and eternity splinters (used to unlock characters without spending real money). There's public events where you fight various villians i.e. Crossbones, Black Cat, Manhunters. They are more difficult and you definitely benefit from several people fighting at once. The cut scenes are done nicely. They aren't full action; kind of more like close ups of comic panels with a bit of movement to them. It's still technically in beta, so there's glitches. I've only had one instance where a notification that I can pick something up wouldn't go away, even after a loading screen. The only other issue I find is that the tooltips that pop up to explain a new thing are in boxes that are somewhat see through, so I don't always notice them until right before they start to fade away. I've missed out a few explanations for higher level features because of that. Nothing a Google search won't fix, though.
  15. I am so damn excited for N.Sane Trilogy it's a bit sad, really. Crash and Spyro were the first games my sister and I had when we got a PS1, they hold a special place in my heart. It'll be nice to actually finish the first Crash game as well. We only rented that one, but had 2, Warped, CTR, Crash Bash, and Nitro Cart. No doubt in my mind that this will probably end up being my first platinum trophy.
  16. I am so looking forward to this. Next month I'm working part-time again, so RDR will be going back in the 360.
  17. Well, I'm the one with paypal, Chad doesn't. And of course I was for it! Good things should happen to good people
  18. My hands (especially fingers) get cold pretty easily while on the computer, so this would be awesome. But I wouldn't back it. I've only backed four things on Kickstarter, but I've been burned on two, possibly three of them. Fuck that shit. I will wait until there is an actual product.
  19. If you're reviewing through Unread Content, if you click on the time it was submitted it will take you right to the last post. Though, if there were a bunch of posts between that last post and the one you last read you still need to scroll through, which kind of sucks.
  20. North American translation: Lawn bowling pants and top. From Google the pants look a bit like a mix between dress pants and hospital scrubs, in that they are loose like (most) hospital pants and possibly drawstring, but still have pressed creases to make them look nicer. I'm hoping for a yarn bowl (example, put yarn in it, put the bit your working with through the slit and it keeps the ball from flopping about) and/or a yarn swift (example, used for winding yarn into a usable ball/cake).
  21. By weird coincidence, Chad and I watched that for the first time on Thursday. If anyone deserves a beating it's Jesse Eisenberg. Unless I missed hearing of some storyline once upon a time where The Joker somehow took over Luthor's body. Also, I actually googled that scenario just in case, cause DC does some weird shit. He didn't. But apparently Brainiac did pre-Crisis, if anyone cares.
  22. Scratching silverware on ceramic plates. Also wiping off a knife between the tines of a fork. Chad gets the dirtiest of looks for that one. The pencil eraser thing as well. Most screaking children.
  23. I'm with Rob on naps. Holy crap I missing working part time and being able to nap.
