  1. Nice one Dave 🙂 Yeah for me its vacuous to state the obvious and ignore all sorts of elephants in the room. Of course we want better cleaner tech, but where is our responsibility? We can't rely on tech to save us when we can't even save ourselves. Imagine us letting the sewers into the sea because the big bad EU is not here to stop us anymore. Oh yeah, that's already happened. Nothing to do with wokeness and everything to do with Profit. We live in one of richest countries in the world where working people rely on charity. But no, it's wokeness that's the problem? No, it's how we organise ourselves and how we look for scapegoats instead of being honest. Yes, i agree people can be overzealous in their way of going about things but we can always tell such people to fuck off 🙂 They're a product, a symptom even, of our great malaise, not the cause. This is just me and my opinion, you know me sir, fucking hate Capitalism 🙈😁
  2. Nah not really. Those who talk about "woke" and "anti-woke" people are as bad as each other. Bell ends all. As for the premise of this guy's point, which seems to be telling young people not to complain about the state of the world they have inherited, just work harder and make it better? Vacuous bollocks in my opinion. Makes me laugh how the enemies of society are the misguided people who want to live in a nice world. Is today's woke just yesterday's do gooder or bleeding heart? There's always been a pejorative name for these people. When I meet someone who is a bit over the top with their 'wokeness' i argue with them to make my point, I don't call them names, I feel calling people names means you're the one with the weak argument. Calling people woke for me is a form of cowardice. I met a couple once who wanted to ban Only Fools and Horses for racism. I reasoned with them and they changed their mind. I didn't cry like a baby and call them names. That's all I see here in this video. My tuppence 🙂
  3. I agree, more and better maps in MP are required, I never minded buying map packs in the past, as they used to always be pretty pretty solid. Also, I'm pretty sure this thread is going to make me wake up in a cold sweat one night after dreaming of a 6 year old @Diddums walking into school with a crate of hand grenades 🙈
  4. Like I've said in a previous thread probably but I think I'll give it a swerve as it'll probably sully my memory of one my favourite all time games. I might have been interested in a brand new game but the old shooting mechanics, more than graphics, have massively dated...at least my opinion when I haven't actually checked footage 😁
  5. Both great games, I slightly prefer the Mexican map, but yeah basically what @J4MES OX4D said goes for me too. Oh yeah and the seasons feature in 4 is pretty cool, it's not really a thing in 5 I don't seem to remember.
  6. Yep, he can play any Xbox game from any generation on the new consoles, a very nice touch by Microsoft to be fair.
  7. He was great at Spurs, don't know much about his time in Spain as I fucking despise Madrid and all they stand for. Only two teams, maybe three in the whole league, so easy silverware to be had there. Heard he scored a decent goal in a CL final. But yeah, fantastic at Tottenham and i couldn't give a shit about the rest of his career 😁
  8. Played a bit of the first game when it came out on early access, but didnt check the final version, i should really go back to it before trying the successor. Very creepy game I seem to remember 🙂
  9. I believe the games would need to be optimised for the new console, so I'd say he would have to download them. Also agree with @J4MES OX4D it's definitely better to go with the series x.
  10. It is quite tough with just two people but a lot of fun. Amazing to think it's an early access game. The gun play is superb.
  11. I've played it a bit on PC, and I believe @TurboR56Mini and @RenFengge have been talking about playing it too. I love the Fallout games. I'll install it today on playstation to see what it's like on console. I agree @GazzaGarratt as its free we should be able to get a few of us on it, get it installed 🙂
  12. I'll shoot zombies until the cows come home, and then some. I'll never tire of that. I like shooting shit. I find that fun. I don't like being in an army, or a government agent, or a cop and the way the world is, I end up having to be a character like that in many games we play. So zombies are fine by me 😅 But yeah I get scam vibes from this game...
  13. I watched live on his channel when their new video dropped, his reaction was priceless 😅 Yeah this game seems well dodgy 🙈
  14. Don't you know anything about mother nature? These fine specimens will grow and one day turn into fine strapping belisha beacons and will then leave the nest for adventure far and wide (probably the roads around Digbeth) to ensure we can all safely cross 😅
  15. We need to do an FG night at the darts 😁
  16. The greatest of all time without a shadow of doubt. Plus, he helped WW2 POWs escape the nazis 🙂
  17. Your profile pic is offensive and hurts my brain to look at, but otherwise, welcome aboard 😭🙂
  18. Dishonored 2 is currently free if you have Amazon Prime. It's the PC version for the GOG launcher (DRM free).
  19. Patch goes live today, can't wait!!!
  20. So, patch 0.13 is coming in the next few days and the fist iteration of the long-awaited 'Streets of Tarkov' is finally going live. There's a live announcement trailer dropping in an hour or two.
  21. MW2 has been quite a success and plenty of us have been playing it. However, two very different games stand out for me. 1. Elden Ring I've just started playing Elden Ring for the first time, and already I wish I'd played it sooner. Pure quality and smooth as butter on PS5. 2. Vampire Survivors Addicive and perfect on Steam Deck. I only started playing properly last night and ended up playing until 3am.
  22. On C64 it was all about joysticks, which usually got destroyed by games like Track and Field and had the word Thrust somewhere in their name 🙂 But for consoles it's got to be the SNES and N64 controllers that brings back fondest memories. Never been a fan of PlayStation controllers until the new one for PS5. Which is amazing. As you say, it's not quite retro yet but for me the various Xobox 360 controllers are my favourites of all time.
  23. That I did not know! But yeah a complete of waste of money their end unless they have an Epic Deck or some other game changer up their sleeve. Have they even started to make the Store UI into something half decent I wonder? I could check but I doubt I'll be arsed.
  24. I wonder how much money Epic have pumped into their Store now 😁 Good for the consumer if they keep it up. Personally I have a ridiculous amount of games so just can't be bothered going near Epic, even for freebies...
  25. Had a go on Magic Leap a few years ago thanks to @tronic44 Absolutely amazing. I get dizzy from PSVR but I'd have a go on Steam's VR set up as the higher refresh rate apparently mitigates the motion sickness. @Greboth can tell you better on that!
