  1. Could be your season. Man Utd have a bunch of new players, Man City will be inconsistent, everyone will figure out how to play cheatski at their own game. Liverpool will fight us for 4th/5th. Probably. Your boys have a settled squad and Cech is your best goalkeeper since Pat Jennings. Just need to avoid all those injuries.
  2. If the Woolwich are anything to go by we'll fill it up with fickle insecure morons who know nothing about football. That aside I'm looking forward to a fantastic premier league season, if we get a decent striker, watch out for the yids. [emoji1] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  3. 1st test sewn up. Should be headline news but gets buried under Serena Williams. Well played England, great all round display. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  4. 403 to bowl and field. There for the taking.
  5. It's looking good so far, Aussies 1st innings all out already!
  6. Also need to get out of the one day and 20/20 mentality and remember in test cricket you don't need to swing at everything

    The Ashes

I think this test series is going to be a classic. A few months ago I would have expected the aussies to thump england. The series against NZ came at a good time and this will be a competitive summer of cricket. Let's hope the weather holds

    Welcome aboard mate
  9. Oh man, this is seriously tempting but I've spent plenty in the last month. It's on sale until the 13th, I wonder if I'll manage to hold out
  10. It didn't really work out when Robbie went to play for Liverpool but he's been on fire in the MLS so who knows....
  11. The topic also reminded of a song by The Fall, "I'm Frank"...a tribute to Zappa of sorts. The Fall also make offbeat kind of music since the late 70s. The album it comes from, Extricate, is one of their easier to listen to long players.
  12. Completely nuts, which in music is a plus as far as I'm concerned. Random fact, I used to always get mixed up between Zappa and Captain Beefheart.
  13. One of the QA testers for the PC version has come out and said that WB knew a long time ago about the problems but carried on regardless. Interesting that at a time when PC gaming is gaining in popularity the big boys seem to keep putting out shoddy unfinished PC games on launch. I'm sure it's nothing to do with the fact that a new generation of consoles need to be sold.
  14. The ladies gave a good account of themselves, and to be honest I think they would have been spanked by the septic ladies in the final (and the Japs are on a long winning streak). They should look on themselves with pride and know that they've finally arrived as a force on the world football scene. They will have inspired a whole new generation of little ladies. The future is bright I think.
  15. I heard that ITV have the rights to start showing Family Guy, starting in the autumn apparently. Now we'll have to watch it with adverts, which means I won't be watching it on the telly any more. BBC3 used to be good but went downhill in the same way C4 did. Went from mildly intelligent programming to brain dead shite a long time ago.
  16. Sports media are so incredibly lazy. The amount of players THFC have been linked with defies belief. The one from Ukraine apparently arriving in London was actually in Madrid. This was last week, yet today even that bastion of free speech (sarcasm alert) the daily mail is saying we're after him. Apparently we're also after half of Monaco's squad. Never mind most of the ones linked have either already been sold to another team or just signed a new contract. Yet I can't resist checking out NewsNow about 100 million times a day
  17. I seem to remember one of the better episodes of South Park focused on the dispute over whether or not the town flag was racist. The swastika was also not a racist flag but it was subverted by racists. The same goes for the George Cross, which is the English flag, rather than the Union Jack (which represents Britain). The George Cross was associated with racists for a long time mostly because of neo-nazi groups in the 70s and 80s. What does this all mean for the Dukes of Hazard? Personally I'd stick all flags in a museum. The best point made in this thread is talking about how we as a society deal with mental illness. Completely agree.
  18. It's a funny old game. Power, corruption and lies are the order of the day. Just like most other things in life where money is involved. The mass distraction itself needs a mass distraction.
  19. When in multiplayer you are also able to select 'passive mode' which means other players can't mess with you.
  20. Another great port report
  21. Haven't tried it yet ....but 'blowing things up' makes me want to play it right now, downloading now
  22. On console I think the attempt at doing a mod service like will be limited or just shitty in general. We'll see (I've had a pint of Kronenbourg and the rose tinted specs have gone flying), but if they don't do it well, with a decent UI to help people along then - as I say - it will be shitty. Even on PC it's not straightforward.
  23. You can do a mission, steal a car for Simeon, do a heist, rob stores, try out some races.... and there's loads more online content. I've been mostly engaging in gang attacks this week. When you do get a car for Simeon, usually someone gets pissed off, you get a mysterious call and find there's a bounty on your head. All other people in the session will see the bounty and likely come after you. While all this is going on, Lester, or one of the other characters from the main game may phone you up to do a job, usually something like distracting the cops or brining down a smuggler plane. There're a shit load of things to do but I must admit when I've had a crap day at work I just jump into my chopper and go looking for trouble.
  24. All round wankers. Remind me never to buy a Rocksteady game on PC, some reject company probably did the work. In this day and age of project management there is no excuse for this. If it doesn't work, don't release it. Maybe the adage 'all publicity is good publicity' actually means something to some of these dicks.
