  2. Patch update via external website Performance improvements and new items have arrived in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with today’s launch of the first monthly big patch. Lucky scavengers might get to ride in a motorbike with a sidecar, gun down fellow survivors with the new Vector SMG (that fancy anime-lookin’ gun), and hopefully spend less time grumbling about framerates. Some players are reporting worse performance and more server problems since today’s patch, mind. Tch! Early access, eh? Many of the performance improvements in this patch focus on minimum-spec PCs but some are more wide-reaching. As for new toys, the patch brought the Vector SMG, a motorbike with a sidecar (solo motorbike to follow later), a new scope, a new mask, and new colours for the cute Dacia car. The crossbow returns too, after being removed three weeks ago. Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene said in this week’s patch notes: “This patch will the first of many to address performance, fix bugs and add new content to the game. I must stress that we will not be able to fix all performance issues with a single patch. For this patch, we focused on stabilizing performance for all users, trying to ensure there would be less FPS drops, and improve performance for those with lower spec systems. Optimizing the game will take us time, and will continue all through early access, so please have patience while we work to improve the game experience for all players.” Battlegrounds patching plans are for big monthly, smaller weekly, and occasional daily patches
  3. Yep, they're working on it.... though I doubt they'll get 100 player servers.... Such a awesome game!
  4. The five-day week is anachronistic and counterproductive, a very dull 20th century way of doing business. It only really bedded down as a way of life during the Great Depression as a job-creation idea.
  5. RGB lighting is all the rage currently[emoji6] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  6. Seconded[emoji3] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  7. New patch. Long story short it's just a patch to patch last week's patch which was a bit patchy for some MD5 issues. http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2017/04/18/7-days-to-die-update-1-13-today-addresses-md5-errors/amp/ Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  8. lol that was epic, so glad you saved it[emoji85] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  9. Damn I only bought the Karuma last week and it doesn't like rockets at all [emoji34] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  10. That's a decent enough processor, when you check the Windows Experience Index which ones give you the low score? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  11. Great idea, always up for race shenanigans Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  12. There's also a menu wheel for quick access to map, inventory etc which I first thought you were referring to. Rich mentioned it in an earlier post. The quick access bar is the one you can scroll through using R1 and R2... like Rich also says [emoji5] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  13. Side missions so far have been doing a good job of expanding the story though it's usually go some place find or kill something and then learn more about what's going on Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  14. lol it just that it takes a lot to heat it up [emoji3] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  15. I'm enjoying the game so far, just finished Havarl and just tying up some of the side missions there
  16. This is mine Lee. My gaff is tiny and this sits under a desk in the living room.
  17. I think McNasty's post went so far over your head it's probably on the moon Lee
  18. Same for me, I generally keep the following there: steel pick axe steel fire axe steel shovel repair hammer crossbow barbed club
  19. The plan to bring all the different strands together will make or break this game. It's come a long way so far and I have no doubt they'll pull it off. Won't go to plan, few things do in game development, but when it does...it will be epic. I get asked to test new iterations on the test servers before they go live so I'll be hoping to get on even earlier. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  20. I watched Drunken Master (original 1978 style) last night for the first time in 20 years. What a classic. The dubbing is hilarious. Switching between subtitles and dubbed voices constantly, even in mid conversation. There's a lot of comedy in the story and the acting too... The kung fu is epic and Jackie Chan at his best. 21. @GazzaGarratt If you're going to buy a PC Lee, buy an SSD, a good CPU and a decent GPU to begin with and it'll last a long time. Rib made some good points, particularly on start up. I'm no expert but here's my take: This summer my PC will be 4 years old. From switching on, to entering my password, to accessing a program/app/internet.... takes about 20 seconds. No joke. There has been no slow down in all the time I have had it. I put this down to (a) buying decent parts (b) not filling it with shit I don't need. It's main purpose is gaming so I don't have it set up to sync with apps like Dropbox or anything like that and I don't use it to store photos etc. Like Rib says, an SSD as the drive for the operating system is the only way to go. Good thing about SSDs is that the price is much better than when I bought mine. Also playing multiplayer games from an SSD is highly recommended. I do have a 2TB HDD for storing most of my games but games like Battlegrounds, Star Citizen, DayZ etc I keep on the SSD. I've not had to replace anything in 4 years* and - other than a frivolous desire to upgrade the GPU for 4K ultra settings - I don't see any need to replace anything for another 4 years either Here's my main parts: CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K (4.3ghz OC) GPU: MSI Twin FrozR GeForce GTX 770 OC 2048MB GDDR5 RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB SSD: 250GB Samsung 840 Series Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD3H (Socket 1150 This site is also good for looking at what's recommended at the moment and I used it when purchasing my parts. http://www.logicalincrements.com/ *(other than a new PCI card for the motherboard following a freak lightning strike on my house which fried the ethernet port, cost me about £20. I no longer leave ethernet cables attached to PC or console at night time).
  22. Nice one, signed up now too
