Hi FG, we thought it best to make this a seperate thread so people can find it easily.
 
Below will be a step by step guide on how to get the mod working.
 
Step 1:
- Make sure your 7 Days to Die game is up to date in steam, it'll need to be on A19.3.
- To make sure you've got the correct version, right click on the game in steam and go to the beta tab. Then select alpha19.3 Stable

 
Step 2:
- Download the client version of the mod
https://gitlab.com/KhaineGB/darknessfallsa19client/-/archive/master/darknessfallsa19client-master.zip
 
Step 3:
- Make a copy of your 7 Days To Die game, it's important to note that this copy should be made to a drive that isn't for your Windows OS.
- To find the correct folder to copy, right click on the game in steam, go to local files and then click on browse.
NOTE - This will take you into the folder you need to copy, so you'll have to come out one folder and copy the 7 Days To Die folder.

 
Step 3:
- Unzip the client mod file you've downloaded and go in until you see these folders.

 
Step 4:
- Now copy the 3 folders plus the icon and README file to your newly copied game and overwrite when prompted.

 
Step 5:
- Right click on the 7DaysToDie application, go to send to and make a short cut to your desk top.
NOTE: It's important you don't use the 7DayToDie_EAC file

 
Step 6:
- Launch the game and happy surviving!
 
If you run into any trouble at all please contact me and we'll jump on discord and go through it together.

Congrats to them! To do this for a 5th year in a row, on a game that’s still in Alpha is pretty impressive.
 
Hopefully they continue to upgrade the game more and more, if the mod has show us anything, there’s so many things they can do with it.

So the mode is actually great, and i am wondering who has had a chance to play it yet? I have maxed 2 characters it is very addicting. The raids are very difficult but extremely rewarding once you get good enough to do them. The leveling system is similar to Destiny but no where near as grindy. I would suggest playing the original game on at least hard though before going online as it can be tough at times
 
There is like a story mode which has several missions, and then you have survival which currently has 3 maps (all of which have 3 levels of difficulty dependant on your level). There are also the 3 raids which are huge and can go on for hours which you need co-ordinations and mics are a must. There are the 4 classes hunter, samurai, ronin and assasin. All are very unique and fit different plays styles. I started with assassin then moved to samurai. Currently leveling up my hunter though
 
My impressions for a FREE online add on have to be 9.5/10. They also updated it very quickly with quality of life improvements across it after feedback from the community. They really care about the game which is great to see. Id love it if it got a PS5 upgrade eventually. I would say it is probably in my top 3 favourite single player games ever, and the online just sweetens the deal
