    Yep. Basically Google has this publisher thing which analyzes your site and offers advice on how to improve things, for example the images on this site can be reduced in size but still look the same, some Javascript needs a few tweaks, things like that. They're all minor things, and will take me an age given my coding abilities but you can expect the site to start running a bit smoother over the coming weeks.

    Well the SQL issues seem to be resolved lately, *touches wood*, so let's hope they stay like that. On a side note, I have been doing loads of research on how to optimize things, and I'll be rolling out some changes in the next week or so, so if you log on and the site's down, please note that this is for maintenance purposes only and will hopefully only be for a short while.

    We've been migrated. This is due to a server upgrade, so it's online now at 213.239.204.109:25586 The world should still be intact so if anyone can confirm this, that'd be great.

    Ok so far I've got £5 from Dylan and €8 from Cal & Stephen. This results in £11, so I'm going to account for 10 due to Paypal fees & exchange rate fluctutations. For this, I can turn the server down a wee bit, which will still be plenty to run vanilla for 10 or so dedicated folks. I also expect other folks to chime in a couple of quid when they can, and when they want to play. It's unfailr to those paying that they fork out all the cash all the time, unless they specifically say in this thread that they don't mind. I will also be throwing some wedge in when I can, but this will be purely leftovers from the ad revenue after I've paid the site's hosting bills. They're currently generating an average of 20p a day, so don't expect much. I'll review the whitelist, and I'm going hardball. If I suspect even the tiniest suspicious activity, you're not going on the list. Sorry, but I'm determined to make this a pleasant experience for all, and if folks are going to pay for it, then I#ll fight tooth and nail for them.

    If a few folks commit to 2-3 quid a month, I'll sponge this month's payment and keep it open from there. I hate going down the pay-to-play route, but this seems to be the only option to weed out any bad eggs. It's £13,19 a month, so 5 people chucking in a few quid a month will sort it out. Alternatively, I can reduce the server's resources and we can save a few bucks there. Basically, I need to know what people can afford to commit to and based on that I'll see what we can afford and go from there. If your'e not comfortable divulging any information, PM me and I'll sort it out from there. Alternatively, if anyone has any other solutions I'm all ears.

    Right, I'm shutting the server down then. At this point it's just costing us money and nobody's chipped in towards the bill which is approaching rapidly. I can only hope that once the mods have caught up and we can implement security plugins that we can go from there, but the thieving has pretty much killed it. Sorry 'bout that folks, but I need to play hardball with this as it's coming out my own pocket at the moment.

    Loads of pay2play MMOs have changed their tune to F2P models with microtransactions, premium accounts, or other business models. Rift, Planetside 2, LOTRO, Star Wars, etc etc. They're all still doing fairly well.

    I played wow for years, which is also pay to play. If the quality of this comes close, it'll be well worth it. The service, despite what players will say, is phenomenal. How many other games can you think of where you can pick up a phone and call someone for help? Deleted something by mistake? Forgotten your login details? Been a victim of account theft? Been scammed? Simply grab the phone and let them sort it out. There are Game Masters who roam the map who can help out with things, settle disputes, and they also do some magic shit which generally keeps the spirits up. At least like that you have proper support, not like most games nowadays where you just have to wait for solutions. I'm not saying it's worth it, but this is something to take into account.

    It's because DICE was getting DDOS'd. They turned off the progress system apparently. It's back to normal now, but obviously there are still other issues.

    Got up nice and early, missus is working nights so I was going to have a decent session today. Join Conquest on Lancang Dam. Sound problems. What's this gun? Ah, all my unlocks are gone. Back to a small ammo pack. Change to sniper. Where's my scope that I got in a Battlepack? Ah, Battlepacks all gone too. I'm level 16. Last night I was level 20. All my shit is gone, I'm basically running from scratch again. So fucking sick of this.
