First of all, apologies for the delay in getting this sorted, it's been a bit of a busy week, but I've finally made it! A few side notes: Minecraft wasn't an option unfortunately. I didn't have tons of cash and that game would've been almost double what some of the others were. Steam codes are impossible to get hold of, so I'm going to offer up some games and dish them out. I'll use whatever's left of the budget to buy as many games as possible, so the PC guys don't get left out compared to the console guys. RIOT points are a bit dodgy. Loads of sites out there that look too dodgy to attempt and finding a reliable source would've taken much longer so I've had to miss out on that this year. I got one XBL Card for the UK and two for the US, as we seem to have more Xboxers over in the USA. There is also one more card for the USA as the exchange rate allowed for it and the US cards are worth slightly less. GAME takes a bit to sort their act out, so I'm waiting for that to go ahead before I start loading up on Steam games. All in all I've spent a shade over £86, which is everything I had in the FG Paypal account plus a bit from me. SO WHAT'S UP FOR GRABS? How to clear out your pc: Control panel --> uninstall unwanted programs. Run CCleaner --> delete registry entries and junk (browsing history, etc). Run Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool (Google it, on phone) Run Malwarebytes. Enjoy your fresh system.

I would've thought it's self explanatory to keep weapons out of sight for kids. Of course an old musket on the wall or something is different, but any live firearms would be far out of sight for my kids. //Doc what does "double action" mean?

Yep, it's true. It used to be in hardcore only in BF3, but for some reason they decided to introduce it in core too. At first it was annoying, but having since gotten used to it now, playing as support and dropping ammo everywhere nets me so much XP it's just insane.

I haven't played the Standalone myself, but I browse the forums a fair bit and based on that my recommendation would be to get Combined Operations and play the mod for a bit whilst the SA evolves a bit more. As Dylan says, buildings are currently very restricted, there are no vehicles, you can fall randomly unconscious, etc etc. It's just not anywhere near a polished product at the moment. I spend an hour or so playing the mod recently, after a hiatus of about 6 months and it's progressed in leaps and bounds. Last time I played it it was a bit of a mess but excusable. Now it's almost feeling like a well rounded and developed game. Of course it's not perfect, but it's probably much more enjoyable than the SA at the moment. Given that Combined Operations is only 8.49 on Steam, I'd go for that.

Woop woop, 6 days! I need some thoughts on this. First off, we've accumulated £70 in donations, so a massive thank to all of you! What I had in mind was XBL, Steam and PSN vouchers. I'll pick them up before Xmas day, and hand them out to the lucky winners on the day. I was thinking 2x Steam, 2x XBL and 4x PSN cards of $10/£10 each, depending on countries and what denominations I can get. I need you guys to give me some thoughts on this, is it even worth doing XBL? Who plays on Xbox nowadays? I might go for one XBL and 5 PSN if the demand is right. Please reply below what you'd like, if you think this is a good way of splitting it up, and let's have a merry xmas!
