They can be had pretty cheap Tommy, but the Hubsan above is the best entry level model as it allows you to do all the tricks and stuff of the bigger models. It has all the features, the remote confused the hell out of me at first, and parts are cheap. Like stupid cheap. The beauty of this is that everything can be done fairly cheap. A transmitter and receiver are a bit pricey but that you can carry across as many models as you want. A flight controller is also fairly cheap. It's a great hobby and one I intend to take to the next level fairly soon. Have another vid, put captions on for English: These guys are all flying FPV, so they've got a camera mounted to their quad and are flying from that. They're not looking at the choppers at all. If your daughter wants to fly, then save up for an FPV quad and give her a second helmet to view from. Give her a dummy remote and keep an eye on her hands and do the flying. Guaranteed she'll love it

Anyone got any of these? I bought a Hubsan X4 a while ago, I got the upgraded model with a camera and it's absolutely brilliant, I love it. The upgraded model with camera, spare props, extra batteries, and a bumper frame cost me £50 off Amazon. It's by far the most fun toy I've ever had. Don't be fooled by the size, it's very much an outdoor model. The controller has a range of about 100m so you can safely fly it as high and as far as long as you can see it. This was recorded with the same model as mine: Speed demo: Instructions: Can't recommend them enough. If you're a father / uncle then this is hands down one of the best Xmas gifts money can buy, and if you're a grown up like me, then it's also one of the most fun things you can do with your clothes on. This is the kind of thing I'd like to be doing at some point:

After a night of tweaking, fiddling, banging my head against a keyboard and various walls, the blog is now live. It's fairly basic at the moment but it's taken me forever to get this far with it so I'll carry on tomorrow or so. I'm looking for writers so if you think you've got what it takes to post an article for the forum, please contact me and I'll get things sorted. Please can I ask you all to use the comments system, it's a Disqus system which lets you log in with various social networking apps but I need to test drive all this new stuff as it might require further tweaking. It's a bit sparse at the moment but I'm getting there. Enjoy!

I've updated the Favicon (the tiny little logo on your browser tab). This means that should you have any bookmarks or shortcuts, the correct logo will display. Might take a wee while for your cache to flush. Hold shift and press F5 to refresh.

Howdy all, I've added fields in the profile area which allow you to add your Gamertags for whatever systems you own. I haven't added any icons yet but will do later as I can't access FTP on this PC. In order to add your gamertags, see below: Click on the little down arrow next to your name, then on "My Profile", as indicated here: Click on "Edit my Profile": Scroll down until you see the fields you like, and fill them in as indicated below: Thanks for reading!

Ha, just played this a minute ago. Absolutely love this game. It's intimidating at first, if you jump in solo you're gonna have a rough ride but once you understand how it all works it's one of the best shooters around. That said, they've been saying "soon" for over a year now. I just can't imagine what it'll be like on joystick. I use about 15 keys on top of my mouse I'm on my phone so can't post it but someone search for "planetside 2 flawed" on the tube and post it up, that'll whet your appetite. It's all made with in game footage too

Tesco's been showing cracks for years but have been cooking their books very efficiently to hide it. Now the lid's off the can contains many more worms than were anticipated. As long as my local Extra doesn't go I'm happy. Brand new store, absolutely massive with tons of parking.

Anyone got any tips or tricks for getting these? There are loads all over the Internet but with Bungie changing stuff every week I don't know where to go. I've decoded about 60 engrams this weekend and got one flipping coin. Done lots of strikes (level 20 though, just trying to grind out the 25 for the exotic weapon), and again not one. Will higher level strikes have better luck? Any other tricks?

Whereas I can happily play pvp for hours on end, I love it. That said, how many of you guys have played MMOs before? Only reason I ask is that I spent years grinding in wow so that's most likely why I'm just fed up with grinding. If grinding is a new experience for you then it might be why it doesn't bother you as much. I understand the reasoning behind grinding but not being able to see all the content without it is rubbish.

Bang on. I'm bored of the pve already and only level 24. I only play it when I team up with friends or I'm forced to, like in the bloody weapon bounty. Pvp is my game, absolutely love it.
