Microsoft to buy Activision Blizzard?
Plumbers Crack and one other reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
Also the fact they are not willing to remove Bobby Kotick or any of the existing Activision board just shows it's all about the money and dominance and nothing for the gamer. They've done sod all to benefit Bethesda and all their other acquisitions in the last few years are just Game Pass fodder. The prospect of Activision operating under new ownership and vastly improved ethics was initially promising but as soon as they voted to retain Kotick and the rest just means the only tangible change his where the profits are funneled. Microsoft are clearly delighted with the way that company is currently ran despite condemning them weeks before they made their shock cut-price bid (what a funny coincidence) for their behaviour in the abuse/culture scandal. This is a deal simply to isolate Sony, capture another huge part of the current market, diminish Playstation's potential and cover all bases in the sector going forward. Maybe if they spent the last 15 years invested in building and growing studios like Sony have then they wouldn't have to throw around the cash to capture such talent for themselves. If they fail to get the deal over the line with the CMA, EU and FTC then it may not be a terrible thing or be all that noticeable.2 points -
Scum (2023)

Quite an overwhelming game in terms of hardcore survival, it would blow @Diddums mind. You have to look at not just food and water but your weight, minerals, sodium etc If you play as a male, you have to decide how big your dick is (and I'm not telling what reference this has to your overall stats😅). It's hardcore with a capital fuck off H. So, with an update out soon its nice timing to find DevilDog video just released today.1 point -

Don't know what it is about Limmy but his very dry humour, mixed with his belligerence just cracks me up 😅1 point -

Apparently the update to Lorville is amazing. They seem to be picking up the pace lately with the game. Good to see.1 point -

Shooting on console is poor, so think I'll stick to PC. I suspect, looking at all the reviews, I won't be playing it very long 😁1 point -

Most Steam reviews seem to be by people who have played the game 0.7 hours, so completely pointless and useless. The YouTube reviewers are panning it too. My experience on PC so far has been pretty bug free. It does 4K medium settings at 60fps fine for me. That wasn't intentional but how it ran before I realised. I changed the settings to 1440p medium and was getting 80fps on average. Playing on standard difficulty, Dusk, I believe it's called, the enemies so far have been weak, so I may turn it up. Movement and shooting is fine, similar to Prey. Too early to say what I think of the game but I'll play some more this evening and see how it goes.1 point -

GT7 April update
GazzaGarratt reacted to Greboth for a topic
The 2 in the screenshot are both 2023 Super Formula cars, just one is Honda and the other Toyota so depends whether you want to count them as 1 or 2 cars. But there's the older Super Formula car (the one used in the S7 licence test at Laguna Seca) and the old 80's F1 car, the F1500T. So 3, or 4, Formula cars unless I've missed some. Maybe cars to try if we can ever get people together for another nice on GT.1 point -
Music of your teenage years

My taste was very similar to Lee. I had a load of the "Now" cassettes and CDs which probably had 30 songs on them. Then Lee and I used to listen to the boy bands, Five, Backstreet Boys, Take that A1, Another level etc 🤣🤦 I loved Whitney Houston, Beautiful South and the Carpenters, mainly because my parents had those albums. A guy at my work is well into his music and often sends me an artist to check out which is fun to do. The most recent artists being Caroline Polachek and The Electric Soft Parade1 point -
When I was young it was just cheesy pop and chart stuff from the early-mid 90's. When I was 15 I remember buying and getting into various different artists. Things like Eminem (Slim Shady Lp +Marshall Mathers) Also things like Limp Bizkit, KoRn, Greenday, Nirvana, The Offspring, Blink 182 etc amongst many others. Was listening to more Nu Metal when Linkin Park arrived. Also bands like ill nino, Deftones, American Head Charge, System of a down, Queens of the stone age, Incubus. I then Starting going more into Heavy metal/Classic rock/Thrash and heavier stuff. Was listening to Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Deep purple, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pantera Sepultura, Soul Fly. Was probably about 17ish by this time (Almost 20 years ago, Circa 2003ish) I always had a thing for Funk and soul, blues, reggae, indie and many other genres and rap I listened and enjoyed dance/electro/House some trance. Fat beats and DJs, but not happy hardcore. Just adding new artists over the years. My tastes are varied and vast. In the last 10 years or so I don't really listen to the heavier stuff, but still appreciate it. I will listen to most things apart from Chart pop and Country which I don't really enjoy what so ever. Exceptions being Johnny Cash or Willie Nelson. Don't mind Bluegrass or that, just not the typical country and western ting.1 point

Music of your teenage years

A mate at work once told me that they did a study that showed you usually switch off to new music around the age of 33 and then start just going over your favourite music types and songs instead of listening to whats in the charts. I can definitely feel that although I do listen to new stuff from similar backgrounds as Spotify is good at linking to your favourite tunes. @J4MES OX4D, I shit you not that was bang on in the start of my music journey, loved abit of Spice Girls! 🤣🤣 I used to listen to most stuff in the charts in the 90s and early 2000s which was quite eclectic ranging from Dance, Trance, Pop, R&B, Garage, Emo and some Indie. Pop was my first enjoyment with many Now Thats What I Call Music compilations bought for me. I had a big R&B/Garage time when it hit the charts. Craig David probably being the standout one. Indie had 6-12 month spell with Razorlight, Editors and The Kooks all releasing really good albums. When I was old enough, I loved Trance. Barthezz, Mario Picotto, Paul Van Dyk and other DJs that mixed some great compilations like Ferry Corsten. 80's synth now lives with me alot because before a teenager i'd listen to my mums 80s tracks, which were ace. Lisa Stansfield, Soul 2 Soul, Bryan Adams, etc. I probably search for alot of 80's synth type tracks and find them more entertaining now than anything new these days! One thing I would say is I struggle to listen to new songs that seem to all be Rap songs to an extent. They just don't seem to have a melodic tune to go with them, not like early Rap with Gangsta's Paradise and Set Adrift on Memory Bliss.1 point
