Resident Evil 4 Remake
Riff Machine and 2 others reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
I grabbed the remake a couple of days ago as I got a good deal with a voucher and had some spare time over Easter. So far so good and a very faithful remake. It's a much tougher game than the original - as the controls are significantly improved, they now throw more aggressive, faster and greater number of enemies at you to compensate the difference and it works. A couple of very tough sections in the first few hours that were fairly routine in its predecessor. I don't think the puzzles are as good in this one (so far) and some of the voice acting from a couple of characters is noticeably weaker but it's still great to see how things have changed and/or been improved in areas.3 points -

Yeah, I'm wondering I'd Redfall is going to be similar. Totally agree about this game, starts great but just couldn't be bothered with it after a bit.3 points -

I think Redfall will be DOA. £60 is an absolute joke for a game that is unlicensed and if you and your buddies wanted to buy this for co-op, it works out at spending £240! It's on the game pass but all that does is suggest that to mitigate the lost direct sales through users playing this way, they've bumped up the unit price which means real players who want to own the game get ripped off by paying an inflated premium and the game pass users who will try it out for 10 minutes or for a couple of weeks will get a free ride that brings in little revenue or success for the developers. Microsoft may have threw it on the pass because they know it would probably do worse than B4B even if they dropped it to £40. Arkane's demise is quite sad really.2 points -

Barter System One of the biggest additions since the launch of DMZ is the Barter System, a way to award Operators who stock up on items and can reach a Buy Station to swap them for other valuables. In general, the Trader may not have what you want, but they will always have what you need. . . . There is no peer-to-peer trading through this system, but of course, you are still free to swap items during a match with friendly Operators (especially those who operate taxi services, as we heard they are incredibly helpful). Workbench Another major addition to DMZ is the Workbench, which can be found near Buy Stations and allows you to modify Contraband weapons. For a nominal Cash fee, the Workbench allows an Operator to add attachments they have unlocked for the Contraband’s weapon platform onto a piece of Contraband or remove them piece by piece. Helpful for those times when a 5.5x scope does not fit on a fast-firing SMG or when a Sniper Rifle needs an extended mag, the Workbench will become another way to spend that hard-earned Cash on something impactful for that infiltration and beyond. Active Duty Operator Slots In Season 03, you won’t just have one Operator to infiltrate the deniable areas. Every player will start with three Active Duty Operator Slots, which equates to having three separate Operators who have their own on-soldier items. These items include your Backpack, Plate Carrier, Killstreaks, Self-Revive, and Gas Mask. For every infiltration, you can choose which Active Duty Operator you bring in, meaning that you can calculate risk to whatever missions you want to tackle or the type of experience you want to have for that match. For example, you can have one Active Duty Operator saved up for the major Story Missions and Building 21 runs, stacked up with a Three-Plate Carrier, Self-Revive Kit, and more, then have another that is built for scavenging items with nothing but a One-Plate Carrier to their name. New Faction An unknown faction, REDACTED, is coming to Season 03 and will have three of its mission tiers at launch, plus two more in-season. New and Remixed Missions, Contract Infinity Ward is introducing a new set of faction missions for this upcoming season, as well as a new contract: That is the Secure Supplies Contract, which flags containers in the Exclusion Zone with essential gear for this experience. This is a great way to get your Operator built up after a previous run in DMZ where you failed to extract. New Bosses Operators should prepare to face new threats across the various Exclusion Zones, as there are not one, but two bosses that intel suggests are [[REDACTED]]. Intel also suggests that deep underground in Al Mazrah, there is [[REDACTED]]. We have plenty more to share as part of a dedicated DMZ blog to be released before Season 03’s launch, including new Backpack and Plate Carrier types. https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2023/04/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-II-warzone-2-0-season-03-multiplayer-maps-battle-pass#DMZ1 point

How long was season one? I cannot remember for the life of me if this is too soon or not. Thier battle pass is surprisingly worth the value.1 point -

What's the problem? The regular BP is still 1100 COD points and will get you the majority of the items. It still give you 1400 CP if you do the whole thing (from what I believe I read) The black cell more expensive. I don't know what it will cost in Canada. But it gives you 1100 + 1400 CP (which is less than the price for sure) and a bunch of skins and crap that you don't need if you don't want it. So what's the shitty move exactly? If you don't want the stuff. don't pay for it. There is nothing in there that you need in order to be able to play. I won't be getting it. If people feel strongly about it, don't by the passes and they will quickly change course to get our money1 point -

Yeah, it's a puzzling one, they have lots of good elements in their games, they look good, they have their own unique style, and the combat is good but they can't seem to tie it all together. I really enjoyed Dishonored, I completed it and all the dlc but I've started up Dishonored 2 several times and just can't get into it. Redfall on gamepass means I'll at least give it a try, so we'll see....1 point -
Im really torn on the Blackcell upgrade, I'm guessing that its going to be £25 based on the Vault Upgrade being £25 and $30 It has 2500 CP which is worth £17 so if you were gonna buy those points anyway the blackcell upgrade is now only £8 I think I'm leaning to not get it as I don't think I'll actually use any of the extra content but I don't think its actually bad value for someone that will actually use the extra content.1 point

DMZ Season 1 Skins are still available in Season 2
GazzaGarratt reacted to Tove for a topic
I completed the Flight Plans mission today in Black Mous Tier 5 (This was the story mission in Season 1 but is a regular Tier 5 mission this season and again this has unlocked the Balancing Act Blueprint. Therefore I've actually now managed to unlock all of the unlocks from the Season 1 Story Missions despite not actually completing them in Season 1.1 point -
Football (Played with Feet)
GazzaGarratt reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
Mad day of football - Leeds thought they were heading to safety after beating Forest last week only to get dicked 5-1 at home to Crystal Palace today! Arsenal blew a 2-0 lead at Anfield to draw 2-2 despite Liverpool missing a penalty and several chances. Title race is now wide open. Chelsea languishing in the bottom half after spending £600m is also fucking hilarious!1 point -

The game just gets easier and worse the more you play. The best bit is actually the tutorial but from then on, you just repeat the same areas with the same brain-dead AI doing the same things and getting more OP as the game progresses despite the dynamics not getting any harder. Interesting idea on paper but it just doesn't work especially with just 4 areas to explore. I think I ducked out after about 10 and if I played on another 15 to complete it, it would've been the same thing just repeating each level 10 times. The tutorial is actually the best part.1 point -
